Morning. Hurrah for baby Carciofi. Not so hurrah for baby Amber. Hope you manage to get some rest today. Does your DS still nap?

I am officially in autumn clothes. Opaques, stripy Janice, jalouse and trench. Janice needs de fizzing though, she's looking a bit ropey.

Funny to hear you were obsessed with limes too, marsha!

Carciofi, I doubt we will find out the sex. I wouldn't mind but DH likes surprises. We didn't with DS either so we have lots of neutral clothes already.

I am meeting a friend tonight for dinner at Jamies. A few hours of freedom and girly talk, fabulous.

Have good Fridays everyone.

OllieinOrange · 26/08/2011 08:15

In the middle of a terrible storm here, thunder, lightening and torrential rain. Where are my wellies?
DH working from home today and hogging laptop, back later.

MarshaBrady · 26/08/2011 08:32

Morning. Grey day here. Not a great August for weather.

I have a feeling this Zara skirt is going to take ages to turn up I could have zipped into Covent Garden tomorrow.

Rufus I liked your description too (I forgot the Smile after my poet. I keep thinking it looks a bit curt).

Ds back to school in one week. Shoes acquired. As an aside gee Hunters look good on children.

PORTIA4 · 26/08/2011 08:53

Carcifi Glad that Dh is sorted workwise, my Dh would feel the same about meet up, we could call it a school reunion , both being SPS past pupils!
Fritzi I love your dress- you're setting a very stylish tone for the meet up!
Ollie I love that belt and am going to try and get one todaySmile We had that storm yesterday, today looks brighter.
Bloss Glad hols are going well.
Shopping wise I have bought so much in the last 2 years that has gone unworn , due to lack of organisation, lifestyle on my part , that I 've decided that I'm buying nothing until I do a sort out, I must sign up to eBay and start getting rid of things.
Still very busy at work, so am speed reading posts!
Hope that you all have a good weekend.

Bonsoir · 26/08/2011 08:56

Am picturing bloss in Saint-Tropez today Smile

I love all your wish lists for AW11. I also need to write a wish list, as I have overspent in August Blush buying new season clothes for me and DD. I do so love having first dibs at new stock in empty shops in August Blush Blush.

Both DD and I need shoes immediately, however. DD wants pale blue Hunter wellies (as seen in French Vogue Enfants this month) and navy Start-Rite Louisas (ditto), and I shall buy them in England when we are staying with my parents next week. I want some ankle boots with a heel to go with my new cropped grey Marni trousers... preferably not to expensive...

dolceebanana · 26/08/2011 09:19

Fab news about dh Carciofi! And well done to the bambino!

Bloss...lovely long holiday.

Lovely lists too. Weather not so good, however.

Love the Hunter wellies. Just bought DD Start-rite mary janes for school...Trilogy I think. They are gorgeous.

I too love new season clothes. Think despite the summer birthday I like Autumn best. Get pretty fed up with summer clothes, and do really only like white in summer, silvery grey and the basics black, taupe, navy.

carciofi · 26/08/2011 09:57

Amber, she probably won't do it again for a while and she is a little bit older than Isabelle, 11 weeks on Sunday. Your dressing gown sounds fab!

I am wearing red J brands, navy ballet top and flip flops as I rubbed my heel bare wearing new shoes. :(

I love Hunters on little kids. I need to get school shoes for DD but waiting until the last minute as her feet have been the same size for ages.

Bloss, it sounds like the white dress is a big hit so wear it again!

Portia, good idea re school reunion. I think I still have my ring somewhere ... but don't worry, I won't wear it! Definitely ebay, I have made £100 towards my NF parka in the last few days.

Have to clean the house as a friend and her DDs are coming to lunch, hopefully will have time for an Outnet browse then.

carciofi · 26/08/2011 11:21

Wan, enjoy your evening. I have some really cute little outfits for you if you have a girl.

Dolcee, yes, autumn clothes are so much nicer.

MarshaBrady · 26/08/2011 11:40

Heehee, someone should get this for superior stand out halston glow in dark

pickledsiblings · 26/08/2011 11:50

you know you want it Marsha

MarshaBrady · 26/08/2011 11:54

no way, josé Grin

Pickled these mj shorts are cute.

Just a quick post to say I had another look at the Zara sequin dress, a lot of the sequins were loose, I would worry it would end up with a bald patch on the bum! Can't link as on phone but they have a FABULOUS navy seqin jacket, really nice quality, beautiful, I would love it. Would be great for the, dare I say it, christmas party season!

Carciofi so releived about your dh. Would love to meet up when you come over.

Rufus will link to boots later when on laptop, the Barbour parka is in Harvey Nichols in black, saw it yesterday, looks good but I can't wear black.

Amber, my deepest sympathies, I remember those days so well, mine usually involved Thomas the tank engine as well, we had a dvd with thomas songs which ds1 wanted on a loop He laughs in disbelief when I tell him now.

Ollie I'd love to see the cakes!

Fritzi dying to have a look at your links.

Better run, last days of hols here, ds1 starts secondary school on monday. I am likely to be a basket case, he is totally cool about it thankfully.

VerityBrulee · 26/08/2011 12:29

Forgot to say Bloss hope you're having a ball!

I went into Zara yesterday especially to see the gold skirt, so disappointed it wasn't in stock. Has anyone seen it in RL yet?

FritziGreenEyes · 26/08/2011 12:54

verity I saw the gold skirt yesterday. It is very bling Grin

Bought this coat for DD in grey. And this belt in silver for me.

ollie Happy birthday to DS1!

clevery I would love to get DH's colours done. Have no idea how to pitch that idea to him without getting Hmm from him.

Today is the hottest day of summer here so far and I am sitting in my study sipping lemsip. Splitting headache and terrible cold... grrrr.

pickledsiblings · 26/08/2011 12:55

Thanks for the shorts links Fritzi and Marsha, what do you think of these? As I am wide of thigh I need wide of leg - I think the Outnet ones are too narrow in that respect but v. nice. MJ ones too pale for the thunderous of thigh.

MarshaBrady · 26/08/2011 13:00

I really like them Pickled, I like that they are slouchy.

Ah wish my bling bling skirt would turn up. I want to see it too.

FritziGreenEyes · 26/08/2011 13:14

Forgot to tell you all about very nice new range at IKEA. Bought some of the small bowls for olives etc.

OllieinOrange · 26/08/2011 13:33

Gah! DH working from home this am really affected my MNing time Smile. I had to look busy so cleaned out the food cupboards and now all the shelves are lovely and organised (with forward facing labels etc!)
Fritzi I like those bowls - you can never have enough of things like that imo (DH disagrees apparently!)
Verity lego cakes are on my FB page. Love the sound of navy Zara jacket - will look out for it.
Ambernj1 DSs were big Thomas fans - I learnt v early on that if I wanted to retain my sanity to buy the dvds with one long story - if I hear the whole "da da da da da"' theme tune one more time....!

S&B buy of the week - some of the new Dove invisible deodorant. It smells lovely and fresh and hopefully will do what it says in terms of not leaving any marks behind.

Neighbourhood drinks reception in our street this evening. What to wear? Its dark and grey but v humid.

dolceebanana · 26/08/2011 13:51

Oh meant to say I really like that bag Carciofi!

rufus101 · 26/08/2011 13:56

Ooh! They are nice FRITZI. Might just detour on my way home! Hope you're feeling better soon!
Knew that would make you nostalgic CARCIOFI. Don't know Razz, ds I never darken the door myself. (fish and chips are fat free when purchased by DH! That is my diet logic anyway!)My impression of St. Gripes was "a lot less cellulite and a lot more silicone!" I had just come from a camp site!
Verity thanks so much for the heads up on Harvey Nicks. My birthday today (42, gulp!), so I need to console myself. Right?
Would love to get into the e bay thing, but don't know if I'd make enough to justify. And the constant trips to post office would wear me down. Would get 100% negative feedback!
Red read almost all that book and put it down and for some reason couldn't bother to find it to finish it. Don't know why, as I had thought I was enjoying it! Keep meaning to get it out and finish it for once and for all. Cent link on phone, but you might enjoy Gillespie and Me by Jane Harris, very good. Also The Hypnotist by Para Kepplar (a husband and wife writing team), its has some holes, but I couldn't put it down, and I am not into that type of book normally!

Bonsoir · 26/08/2011 14:39

Oh Ollie you made me laugh with "had to look busy"!

I weighed myself and am 1.5kg down on the 2.5kg I managed to gain this summer (by dint of much less no wine and no ice cream). Fortunately I am spending next week with my parents, who have bird-like geriatric appetites and I always starve there (DP and I always end up sneaking to Waitrose for crisps and biscuits to stave off hunger-generated sleepless nights).

Ambernj1 · 26/08/2011 14:39

verity yes ours is a sing-along DVD, I go to bed most nights with the songs revolving in my head. There is even, dare I say it, a rap...

fritzi curse you and your outnet links, I ordered this which was at least cheap! Hopefully will be useful for lazy days.

The leopard dressing gown has been discarded in favour of leggings (IO maternity - so comfy I can't surrender them to eBay), a slouchy Reiss vest and my the chiffon trim cardi made famous by bloss. Was wearing Jalouse but have managed to rip my little toenail half off!

My sale VWA finally arrive today after being returned for a smaller size and a lot of to-ing and fro-ing with DHL. It fits and manages the seemingly impossible task of making me look half decent! Will be wearing it for our first anniversary in a couple of weeks.

S&B action will be limited as I am going to Tesco!

Bonsoir · 26/08/2011 14:40

Am also waiting impatiently for my gold Zara skirt. We had a delivery this morning which I ripped open in anticipation, but it turned out to be some gym clothes for DP Sad
