Evening all!

OP posts:
dolceebanana · 25/08/2011 09:08

Bloss, are you still on hols!!!!!!!????????

dolceebanana · 25/08/2011 09:23

I am loving these beauties

dolceebanana · 25/08/2011 09:34

Oh, and this is fab, this scarf. Am ordering DHs birthday present, new quilted Barbour and new Converse. Am wondering whether to gift myself the scarf ? Grin

Bonsoir · 25/08/2011 10:15

Nice scarf, dolce, but I wouldn't (personally) spend £225 on a synthetic scarf - think you could buy more accessory for the money!

Bonsoir · 25/08/2011 11:15

I like this Jigsaw scarf, and this one

Ambernj1 · 25/08/2011 11:20

wan I love IO and ordered vast amounts of stuff from them during my pregnancies, only ever experienced great CS from them. Also their stuff holds its value well on Ebay for afterwards (as I am finding out now) - particularly loved the wrap dresses and ruched dresses.

Just found £100 in the cupboard while looking for a first aid kit after I cut my finger - talk about instant karma!

Have shoved a load of stuff on Ebay this morning to fund my winter wish list and free up some wardrobe and drawer and cupboard and baby's bedroom space. Have got a long list of wants which I really need to write down!

fritzi Gorgeous dress, and yes I think I prefer the red leopard print dress as well.

carciofi love the blouse, everything in whistles is great at the moment!

Don't think I'll be jumping on the gold skirt bandwagon (at my current weight I'd probably break it) as my sausage legs have never been my best feature. Sigh.

Weather dismal here in sawf London. Thinking it could be a cashmere and Northface day to go over my Agnes...

redllamayellowllama · 25/08/2011 12:46

Quite the find amber. I too have an overwhelming desire to document my wishlist - want to compare?!

MarshaBrady · 25/08/2011 13:35

Quick update on evening bit.

Emo is going to think about lovely places in same area over next couple of days.

Or we do bar in same place option. Will send info soon. Thanks for all your pms. Smile

dolceebanana · 25/08/2011 14:02

Red - do confide your wishlist...am in the process of building one too. So far:

New Leather bag
Ankle boots
Barbour parka
New scarf (but not the synthetic Mulberry), thanks for spotting Bonsoir-hadn't noticed, and does not see good value at that price.
I also want a cardi-coat; big soft wrappy type cardi and a new cashmere round neck navy cardi
A few new white long sleeved tees, oh and of course tons of socks/tights (Brora)
J Brand cords

Oh and do need a nice black dress to wear for dinner/dress up/down...

Non-exhaustive of course. Dull or dull....? Have been very taken up with house things...we haven't exchanged yet (fingers crossed for v soon-as had a few hurdles to jump- tedious process house buying), yet have compiled a file already. A very natty, nice, newly bought, buff coloured file with Architect-y stencilled name of new abode on cover. Very sad.

Roll on back to school now. Much as I love the little darlings I am somewhat frazzled. I need my hair done too.....!!!! We are at home today (clearly), much to the disgust of my 4 year old DD who expects a treat and day out daily now. Rod and Back. Hmmm....

rufus101 · 25/08/2011 14:32

I LOVE that Max Mara dress Fritzi. What about grey shoes? Also love those boots. I am contemplating a pair of Ash wedges. Can't link now, but they are on mywardrobe. Think I would more wear than the Ash skull ones.
Carciofi when you come over, we could have our own meet up! Hope DH finds something soon. I always find dealing with uncertainity very stressful.
Am contemplating the gold skirt! You lot are awful!
Bloss I hear you on the holiday grooming. I just wear my hair up on holiday, and have an array of scarves, and hair accessories.

rufus101 · 25/08/2011 14:36

Bugger! Gold skirt is gone in xs. This means I will be feverishly stalking it.

OllieinOrange · 25/08/2011 15:20

Fritzi love those boots. The Esprit near me had all the models in the window wearing the same boots but in a lovely dark grey - just what i was looking for. When I asked where they were in store, apparently they wont be selling them in store in that colour - they are just for windows! wtf?!

Dolcee great list and obviously I LOVE the sound of your new house file! Love cardi coats.

FritziGreenEyes · 25/08/2011 16:07

ollie Went to the huge Esprit flagship store today and they didn't have the shoes in stock AT ALL. Will have to order online

FritziGreenEyes · 25/08/2011 16:09

Oh, and all you Autumns: Go to Zara! Our branch was awash with lovely burnt orange, forest greens etc. I also saw the leather gold skirt. It is very very shiny and gold Grin

OllieinOrange · 25/08/2011 16:32

I've not idea what a concealed placket is but I like this blouse from the new Pure range! here

carciofi · 25/08/2011 16:42

Amber, £100 is a good find! I too am wearing my Agnes.

I am rubbish at doing my hair and wear it in a boring bun/ponytail at all times, home and away!

Dh found out yesterday that he is safe for the moment. Although there are going to be layoffs in his department, they are keeping some people in the London office so he is probably ok for a year or so, and can leave on his own terms. So I may make the meetup but as he will think I have lost it if I go all dressed up, I will have to arrive in my usual skinny jeans! He doesn't know that I post here all the time, he doesn't get it. :)

Fritzi, lovely dress and shoes.

Rufus, great, I would love to meet you.

Ebay sales are going well (Apuski, I posted your scarf today, btw) so I am going to get the NF parka as soon as it comes back into stock. I also like a couple of Pure Collection sweaters and a cashmere dress, but need to find more to ebay as must not use the credit card. It's hard, I tell you, very hard.

carciofi · 25/08/2011 16:43

I have found that delivery can be slow from Isabella Oliver and they take a while to process refunds, but no problems apart from that.

carciofi · 25/08/2011 16:43

Ollie, I didn't get a pm from you, but I did get Marsha's.

carciofi · 25/08/2011 16:45

Last post from me, unfortunately my lovely aunt will be away from October to December so I won't see her.

Ambernj1 · 25/08/2011 16:45

So further to tales of my amazing local tk maxx, today they have in stock......Louboutins! None in my size though.

Tried this dress on today - very nice, but obscene with my bf cleavage at the mo.
red I will if you will!

OllieinOrange · 25/08/2011 16:57

Thats weird Carciofi, thought your name was on the list - sorry you didnt get it, will forward it to you now. So pleased you can make it.

Pleased for you re DH's job and having some time to find something else.

Anyone else who hasn't received a PM, please let me know!

MarshaBrady · 25/08/2011 17:15

Carciofi great news on both accounts.

Fritzi oh really? Grin hurry up postie.

blossoming · 25/08/2011 17:45

All is well in the world again. I am blow dried, straightened, mascara'd, lipglossed!! Off out to dinner and tomorrow taking a boat to St Tropez, where I fully intend to wander into the DVF store!

Yes dolcee, it will be 17 days by Tuesday when we get home. Too long, and dh wants 3 weeks next year. At least I have a year to find a hat!

ollie, isn't a placket where the buttons are hidden?

redllamayellowllama · 25/08/2011 17:53

Fab news Carciofi; you must be so relieved not to have that hanging over you.

Dolcee I feel the opposite way about the return to school as it leaves me on my own with both DCs, no nursery place and 8 weeks of major renovations (I know I shouldn't complain as 13 weeks of holiday with DH around is pretty good going, but still).

Shall cheer myself up with my wish list, which isn't dissimilar to yours.

Green jeans - have seen a nice Current/Elliott pair and a nice Ksubi pair but may end up going for a cheaper alternative if I can find the right shade.
Reiss Sapphire coat (although am now torn between this and the Barbour - beauty vs. practicality)
Felt floppy hat
A couple of daytime dresses
A serious revamp of the tights drawer
Some black knee-high boots - flat, I think
A bright cashmere jumper; electric blue or green
A lovely blouse, a la Carciofi

Blush

Fritzi your dress is bloody lovely.

Amber, over to you.

Bonsoir · 25/08/2011 17:58

bloss - I was in the DVF store in Saint-Tropez in July Grin

Where are you staying?
