There are 30 days in June. Who wants to do the 30 day shred every day this month?

TattyDevine · 31/05/2011 21:06

Right, ladies its that time of year one has to get shredded. There are holidays, there are barbecues, there are weddings to attend. One has to look good, and one has to undo any overindulgence of attending said events.

So I will be doing the 30 day shred every day in June, unless extraneous circumstances prevent me, these being:

Loss of life or loss of limb;
Illness involving either puking or high temperature;
Velcro-baby (i.e sick child keeping one up all night or similar shenanigans)

Any other excuses will not be tolerated.

Is anyone else in? You must check in daily to say you've done it and you may post your weight loss or inch loss weekly if you feel inclined. Plus wax lyrical about how shredded you feel and how hard your bottom is and how you can't really lift your arm very well or it shakes like a leaf but it doesn't matter because you can fit into your least mumsy swimsuit.

See you tomorrow!

Been feeling rough since end of last week but only missed Shredding on Saturday although dropped to level 1 one day. Think as I'm not feeling great that level 2 doesn't seem to be getting easier like level 1 did. Still I'll persevere!!

orangehead · 21/06/2011 09:32

Really wanted to shred today but feeling really crap think I got sinitisis and been up most of the night unable to breathe

roundthehouses · 21/06/2011 09:53

done. day 20. its really hot here and this is really working up a sweat! I am not doing jumping lunges, could really see myself getting injured so sticking to static, still seem hard so happy with that.

Only 2 days left til holiday then i´ll have to leave you guys to finish up for me - anyone up for doing my session on top of their own til day 30? Wink Grin

bogle · 21/06/2011 11:03

shred done for day, think I mis counted yesterday so today is day 6 level 2. It's still v difficult but also def noticing a difference.

itsababslife · 21/06/2011 16:58

Well day 10 done here, first day at level 3 and actually not as bad as I was expecting...maybe that's because I've had a sneak preview of what's coming next

chutneypig · 21/06/2011 16:58

Done today and yesterday too, forgot to check in!

DoingTheBestICan · 21/06/2011 19:24

Moved up to level 3 today & really enjoyed it,never thought i would say that!

Come on everyone still to do theirs.

chutneypig · 21/06/2011 19:48

So how tough is the 6 week 6 pack itsababslife? I've been considering what to do next. Might do a bit on EA Sports Active as I have that already, but think I'll miss Jillian Grin.

sailorsgal · 21/06/2011 19:56

I missed yesterday as went to zumba. Shredded today though so day 6 of level 2 done. Yipeeee!

stopthelights · 21/06/2011 20:43

Checking in today. Pooch is diminishing and abs of tin foil steel are (very) tentatively poking through Grin. Going back up to level 3 tomorrow.

Zwitterion · 21/06/2011 20:59

Well done everyone who's shredded today. I'm knackered so just did level 1. Back to the chest pies Smile.

And there's definitely a bit on the static lunges when Natalie completely phones it in and just stops moving her legs altogether. Never noticed before as always following Anita - so I must have improved Grin

itsababslife · 21/06/2011 21:09

chutney, i'd say you'd need to find Shred level 3 fairly easy before you start....the pace is much faster, it's longer (30 mins per workout) and there's a greater variety of exercises including lots and lots of plank based exs. She's quite a lot shoutier too....just in case you were remotely considering phoning it in!

I got quite tired just sitting on my arse watching....

itsababslife · 21/06/2011 21:10

But I liked it...am wierdly looking forward to giving it a go Grin

GColdtimer · 21/06/2011 21:13

Well done everyone. Been a bit hit and miss recently because of tummy bug and suck children but have done day 5 at level 2. Not noticing a huge difference but clothes seem a bit looser. Might go up to level 3 tomorrow. How hard us it??

sailorsgal · 21/06/2011 22:05

So who mentioned a new dvd???? Have now just ordered it! Will be blaming you when i am on my knees. Grin

worldgonecrazy · 22/06/2011 08:53

Shredded today and hurt my shoulder in the process.

Definitely can see the beginnings of my 6-pack and found I could do the plank poses a lot easier today, except for the walking push-ups which had me on my knees at the end.

Is anyone else struggling with sit ups? I just can't do them unless someone is holding my feet.

bogle · 22/06/2011 10:09

shred done

chutneypig · 22/06/2011 17:20

Day 29 done and I think my ankle's going Confused. Gah. I AM going to do the 30 days straight, I am.

DoingTheBestICan · 22/06/2011 18:08

Day 22 done,i am tired but a good kind of tired.

Zwitterion · 22/06/2011 20:07

chutneypig only one day to go - that's brilliant!

I'm done for today. Definitely more toned on upper body and legs but still the same weight and no difference to stomach. Will have to attempt the hell that is dieting (makes me even more grumpy)

itsababslife · 22/06/2011 20:55

walking pushups to plank row/leg lift thingys.....sweet christ!!!

But i did rush home early to get a quick shred in before picking up the DD and heading to Zumba Grin

sailorsgal · 22/06/2011 21:30

Done. Grin but cheated a bit and just did level 1 as went to yoga this morning. Only pushups were difficult though ds 4 was climbing all over me and asking silly questions such as "why do the ladies show their tummies?" I told him so mummy works harder.

And why oh why does he always need a poo when i am right in the middle of my workout.

chutneypig · 23/06/2011 07:20

I've been cycling through levels 1, 2 and 3 this last week. I don't know if it was me not doing things properly, but I didn't feel as worked out by level 3. I think there was a lot more emphasis on technique in it.

That's pretty much the same for me Zwitterion - btw love your name. The last week or so I've been calorie watching online and I think combined it's helping a bit on my stomach. Plus there is nothing like plugging your shred into the exercise bit and them adding the calories to the amount you can eat!

Zwitterion · 23/06/2011 07:56

chutneypig what online system are you using? I've downloaded a couple onto my phone - fitness pal and calorie counter I think. Haven't used either yet so any recommendations appreciated!

blabalalalablabla · 23/06/2011 11:55

Morning all - last day of level 2 done today - am determined to move up to level three tomorrow and not chicken out at the last minute :o

Level 2 was very hard today - it is really humid here so I was sweltering.
Have noticed that I am a lot more flexible - I do about 15 mins of yoga stretches at the end and it is really making a difference.

Am determined to carry on with this though - I'm probably averaging about 4 times as week and really enjoying it in a strange type of way.
