Bloss Have just shamlessly copied you and ordered trench dress from NAP, have also ordered these will report back on them was considering this but it's sold out in my size, have also ordered this seeing that I have to pay 30Euro in shipping anyway Smile

NY Sorry to hear DD is ill again, 'hope that she gets better soon.

Carciofi I found Gaviscon was the only thing that worked for heartburn when I was pregnant, I always used to have a bottle in my bag! Sometimes I wondered which was worse the heartburn or the Gaviscon !

Better put my credit card away and get back to workGrin

Beautiful sunny day here, 'hope that everyone alse is getting some nice spring weather.

blossoming · 28/03/2011 16:06

Yes, those shoulders did look odd exhausted. And I have wider shoulders than hips to begin with! Ah well, hope it will look better on!

portia, that is some shopping for a Monday afternoon! Look forward to hearing what the trench dress is like, especially after exhausted's review of the Mango dress.

OllieWollieWoo · 28/03/2011 16:40

MrsJuan - your poor sister. Hope baby has appeared by now. I had a very long labour with DS1 and at the time it was awful but soon forgotten about iykwim.
Kildaire - good shopping - shame about the MK dress not being availableas I liked it.

Karen Millen has a couple of shirt dresses - when I was in there in London, someone tried this on and it looked great on her here or it could have been this one!! This collarless one is nice too here

Those of you who, like me, loved Hells dress at meet up, I saw this and thought it was similar (but not quite as nice!) here

Navy dress fans - found this one on JL site but it may suffer from big arms too and would need a belt I think?

Thats quite enough links for a Monday teatime I think!

OllieWollieWoo · 28/03/2011 16:56

Notyummy - sorry to read about DD - has she got better this afternoon? Hope so. Sure you work colleagues will understand - you always sound like you put in 110% effort when you are there and its v obvious you are not a shirker. (I once worked with someone who literally used every excuse in the book to get time off - she had 3 days off when Princess Diana died as she was too upset to come into the office, she also suffered from sunburn, windburn, snow related migraines, womens troubles - twice a month! - you name it, she had it!)

DS2 got really upset when I took him to school this morning - its his third week and it was going ok but today he was crying uncontrolably. Its so hard here as they start on their 4th bdays and are dropped into classes with established friendship groups. Sure he will be fine - he just has to break into the groups and make some friends or wait for another new boy/girl to start(sob!)

notyummy · 28/03/2011 17:08

Oooooh, poor DSIs MrsJ. Hope it is all over for her soon! My experience was not fun, but at least it was only 14 hours from start to finish.

bloss- great JCrew dress. I really like the look of their clothes but sadly they don't ship to the UK and I think NAP is the only Co. that stocks them here :(
Don't NAP and MyWardrobe style their models so well? I found this NFarhi dress which petit linked to the other day on the Nicole Farhi website: here . Doesn't it look awful and unflattering the way they have style it!

mrsj- I do hope your poor sis delivers soon.

NY-really bad luck that your DD is poorly again. She probably hadn't got back to peak strength after the pneumonia and so picked this infection up more easily :( I understand how hard it is as regards work and how guilty you can feel about both things!

morag- I like the look of the Marlene.

ollie- those KM dresses are nice but they do seem a bit expensive to me.

carciofi-pregnancy can be rubbish at times. I hope your reflux settles.

loobylu3 · 28/03/2011 18:33

fritzi- You are right about the colours of the Jigsaw dresses that I linked to the other day. I was trying to imagine what I might wear with them and couldn't imagine how they would fit with the rest of my clothes!

exhausted- I had an Outlet email earlier with j Brands on it- not sure if they have any left!

mrsjuan · 28/03/2011 18:55

Baby finally here!

FritziGreenEyes · 28/03/2011 19:11

I love spring! All the fresh air and running around outside is making DD so tired that she falls asleep without protest as usual Smile.

portia I can so see you in those trousers and shirt dresses. You are so petite and Jackie O like!

looby The styling of the Farhi dress on their website is unbelievable. What were they thinking?

exhausted Shorts are everywhere. You could try Zara and I think I saw a high-waisted pair in the H&M catalogue the other day. I want to wear shorts and trench now too! Must start to exfoliate legs...

mrsj Hope all goes well for your sister! Are you going to see her soon?

ollie It must be heartbreaking to have DS crying because of school. Hope he makes new friends soon and things will get easier. Could you invite some of his new classmates round for a playdate? Maybe you could talk to his teacher about it if you are still worried tomorrow? Have a Wine tonight and some online retail therapy! Loved your links, fab dresses.

FritziGreenEyes · 28/03/2011 19:12

mrsj Yay!!!! Tell us more!

carciofi · 28/03/2011 19:22

Hi there, felt very tired this morning so DH took the day off and I slept for a few hours and then we went out to lunch, it was really nice. I did try Gaviscon but it didn't help. However, I feel ok now so maybe the baby moved out of whatever position she was in. Yep, Fritzi, 10 weeks, not long!

MrsJuan, great about your sister. I had a long labour too, my poor grandmother was saying the rosary and lighting candles for hours!

Exhausted, I don't think I paid more than £30 in customs.

Bloss, nice trench dress.

OWW, hope your DS settles in soon, hopefully someone new will start.
NY, sorry your DD is ill again, hope she recovers very soon.

Trying to decide whether to go for the green or black AH minx, oh the dilemma.

pickledsiblings · 28/03/2011 20:17

Carcofi, I love olive green but sometimes I'm not in the mood for it. The black is a safer bet. Order both and then decide when you see them in the flesh. The black seems gentle rather than harsh IYKWIM.

Some fab links this evening ladies Smile. Having met most of you now it is so much easier to picture things on individuals. Portia, that zippy dress would look great on you. The Jackie O description of you is spot on.

I'm having trouble imagining the trench dress on. It would need a great tan leather belt I think.

NY sorry to hear about DD. I hope she is on the mend.

MrsJ, hope your sis and the baby are both well.

OWW, DS2 was probably just upset because he'd had such a lovely w/e IYKWIM. He'll be fine and probably was the moment you walked out the door. DS2 had a wobble at nursery the other day too.

MrsCampbellBlack · 28/03/2011 20:37

Carciofi - just whizzing in to say I've worn my minx loads and find the olive a great colour for going with stuff.

Oh and over halfway to Gracie now Smile

loobylu3 · 28/03/2011 20:52

Great news about your sister, mrsJ! Boy or girl?

carciofi-I'm probably a bit slow but was is a minx- must have missed the link, I guess. Your DH sounds really sweet!

fritzi- the styling is generally awful on the NF site. I'm sure any of us could have done a better job!!

blossoming · 28/03/2011 21:04

I'm not sure anyone would buy that dress after seeing that looby!

carciofi's DH in line for DH of the week - move over mrnotyummy!

Congratulations auntiejuan. What was it?

Sorry to hear that about your DS ollie. My DS was crying at the school gates this afternoon. Turns out, he thought I was someone else, and he'd crossed the road to this other woman, then got really upset that it wasn't me. Luckily he crossed the road back to his teacher again. I don't look like her. At all.
Then after we came home, he bent over to kiss DD and ended up banging heads with her and getting a nosebleed. And he really hates blood. Such trauma for a Monday afternoon! He was fine after swimming though.

Have been away in Jersey staying with friends for a few days - we were lucky enough to have gorgeous weather so lots of time on the beach without coats. Feel full of ice cream and cake and in need of some fruit and veg! A lovely break.

Only had time to skim so apologies for any biggies I miss but...

A belated happy birthday to everything

Congrats to auntiej and sis

carciofi I think olive is better for all year round wear and as mrsCB says, it goes with pretty much everything.

Glad you had a fab break too oww

Boo! Hiss! To the germs ny and everything. Here's hoping the bugs clear up quickly.

looby - NF styling Shock! I never would have ordered it based on that. I'll see what it's like when it arrives and may have to brave a photo to ask for the wise opinion!
