Im starting the 30 day shred on Monday and ive seen alot of you have orderd it or are also starting monday.

Was wondering if it was a good idea to measure ourselfs in the top of our thighs, tummy, hips and whatever else in inchs to see how much we loose from where, also adding our height and weight aswell

we could put our measurements on before we start then update it after our 30 day shred?

I will measure myself over the weekend and update this thread in time for monday incase anyones intrested, or would just like to hear the results

x

Ouch flier!
Just back from taking kids to school. will get on with day 3 in a min. My knee feels better today.

anon80 · 02/03/2011 10:12

ive onlu just got up and i went to bed early last night, i think.

Im tired and sore - will do today - have too, must must must. but just cant be bothered but will...

however jumped on the scales quickly today and have lost a whole pound, althou havent been eating properly so when i have dinner tonight it may come all back on.

Going tescos and boots for some make up and shopping, sounds like a 10 minute job but am sure will take about 3 hours. will do the shred when i return from that. so probs about 5-6 o/c

Will hopefully have the dvd by friday, but have started my healthy eating plan today except I am out tonight so will be having a few Wine's

AfternoonsandCoffeespoons · 02/03/2011 20:01

The tops of my legs hurt so much. I'm struggling to sit down and stand up! Loving the actual shredding, but don't like this much!

TerrorFirmer · 02/03/2011 20:54

Day five done. Ouch. Tops of legs here too..

I was planning on 10 days of each level. I have The Fear about level two.

rusmum · 02/03/2011 21:32

what could i do instead of the sit ups? have bad back prob and sit ups a no no.hoping to restart monday as soon as i can after back given up on me x

anon80 · 02/03/2011 21:39

Use a gym ball for the sit ups, it takes all stress away from the back - think you can get one from tesco for aout £3.

Although if you do just keep it up surly your back with strenthen?!

My friend has a bad back and she is told to do pilates to get it into shape and strenthen it then it will repair itself as long as she keeps the exercise up.?!

rusmum · 02/03/2011 22:13

think this is too nitensive then?

anon80 · 03/03/2011 10:30

Alderpends, i sometimes suffer from back problems, but have not doing this dvd, its my legs that are in agony.

Are you keeping your back straight doing the pushups and the leg and arm exercises?

If your back just aches id say its fine, its just muscles strenthening, but if your in agony to the point where you feel paralyzed and unable to cope then stop, when it gets better just do a few of the exercises and dont put too much pressure on it.

Woke up this morning tired, my body still hurts? Anyone else??

BUT have to say i actually think my stomach is a bit smaller, seems abit flatter already?? i know this cant be possible but am sure of it

Also before i started i weighed 8st 10.8lb and this morning i weigh 8st 9.2lb, so have lost over 1lb :)

Day 4 done!!! had to just get on with it this morning because if id left it later in the day i wouldnt have botherd.

Dont think its getting easier though- still struggling and the lunges with the bicep press i still cant do till the end, but i do actually have bent legs, my feet point outwards to the side if i stand up straight, whereas the rest of the worlds feet point forward, wonder if this is why im having trouble with it

caughtinanet · 03/03/2011 12:16

Looks like everyone's doing well.

Days 3 and 4 level one done, I'm not stiff or achey and I felt today that is was a bit easier although I still can't do the cardio without a break.

I was planning on doing 10 days at each level. What size weights are you all using? I've been doing it with tins that weigh 1lb each but I'm thinking about getting some cheap weights - is 1kg too heavy ?

anon80 · 03/03/2011 12:23

I think your supposed to do 10 days of each level anyway ( well thats the impression ive got )

I dont have any weights so using toneing balls lol mine are 0.9 kg, 2lb each so just under your tins lol

Set alarm to do day 4 this morning before work and bloody overslept!

Will do tonight instead (which I hate because I'm knackered)

Gillian is really starting to get on my nerves and I've just figure out how to turn her voice off!

pinkbraces · 03/03/2011 12:32

Im in to, not sure I want to let my measurements loose on the world though :)

Tortoise · 03/03/2011 12:38

I have been out all morning. Will try and find time later.
I use 1.1kg and 2.3kg depending on which exercise. Got upto 2.3kg for all exercises last time i did it.

5DollarShake · 03/03/2011 13:04

I passed out in bed last night at 9 as was so shattered - not sure if it was shred-related or not, but given that I didn't do anything else all day other than sit on my fat arse, it must've been.

Am still really achy and it is affecting me being able to work out fully, but hopefully as my body gets more used to it, the aching will stop. Day 4 for me in a couple of hours time.

I have lost a couple of points of a kilo in 4 days. Woo.

Well, I half shredded yesterday, as was interrupted by DD, I did the whole thing but didn't get the sense of 20 mins gruelling hard work.

It must have had some effect though because my Abs are a wee bit tense. And my shoulder muscles.

It feels good though Smile

Fsat, I am not completely sure if that sort of appeal is allowed on MN? Might be worth contacting HQ about how to do it properly.

Not for me though anyway. I am happy to be me, just aspiring for there to be slightly less of me to be happy with IYSWIM.
