So your doing the 30 day shred! want to keep a logg?

Im starting the 30 day shred on Monday and ive seen alot of you have orderd it or are also starting monday.

Was wondering if it was a good idea to measure ourselfs in the top of our thighs, tummy, hips and whatever else in inchs to see how much we loose from where, also adding our height and weight aswell

we could put our measurements on before we start then update it after our 30 day shred?

I will measure myself over the weekend and update this thread in time for monday incase anyones intrested, or would just like to hear the results

I did the shred for the first time today without weights I need to finds them!

It's my thighs and stomach I'm keen to trim down¡

My DVD hasn't arrived yet so can't start. Going to add my measurements to the list later though and I will stay with the thread and hope it arrives soon!

This is just what I need! Did The shred for 2 whole weeks before half-term and really saw the difference.

Have a nasty throat infection now, so it may be a day or 2 before I feel up to shredding. But I will shred!

Will add myself to the list and update measurements properly later (I had lost 2" off waist, 2" off hips, 1" off each arm and half an inch off each leg after doing it for a fortnight!).Maternity leave finishes in 5 weeks so that's another incentive to shift all the post-partum blubber.

just done my first shred!

Im in agony already, was a little suprised I managed to get through it to be honest, did stop a couple of times thou, but have rested a lil ater doing it and dont even need my ashma pump, my cardio must be improving

Well my first session has started. I really liked it, but had to stop, but look forward to doing it again tomorrow, when I will (hopefully) manage a wee bit longer before stopping

OK, DVD unwrapped and first session done. It wasn't too bad but I learnt two things - I can't do push ups and you need to wear your sports bra Smile

Do you have to do it for 30 days without a break or is it OK to take days off, I'm not sure I'll be able to do it at the weekend.

I'm a bit late to this, but have just done my first work out. I don't feel like I pushed myself hard enough (although) didn't take any breaks, but do definitely feel like I had a work out. I think I held back a little bit because I didn't know how bad it was going to get! Grin Will feel more able to push myself tomorrow. Will also sort out measurments and post.

same here 5doallar, i held back a bit although did need a few few seconds rest, but already feel like im going to be able to do alot better tomorrow

well done everyone - Day 1 down 29 to go - cant wait till the end so we can see how much has be shredded from us all

caughtinanet No you don't have to do 30 days solid. Do what days you can manage/fit it in. I probably won't do weekends either. Smile

Just finished it for today, my DC enjoyed it although it is a bit difficult to do the abs bit with a toddler crawling all over you!

Feel great now though!

DAY 1 done- Arms very wobbly now- shattered!!
It was tough but need to push a bit more i think. I also cannot do push ups. lol

I didnt do too bad with the push ups although did follow the simple method, with my legs crossed.

legs felt abit tired and wobbly after i did the shred this morning but am fine now

I am having trouble with my knee. It is hurting quite a bit at the moment.I think i am doing everything right.

tortoise - I was just going to ask the same thing. I've never had a problem with my knees before but my right one has just started to hurt when I bend it.

I wondered if it could be the jumping jacks on a hard floor. I'm going to check some of the other shred threads and see if there's an explanation

I wear trainers so jumping jacks shouldn't be a major problem. Squats/lunges could be the cause. I may just have weak knees lol. I make sure my knee doesn't go over my toe.

I wore trainers as well, a quick skim of one of the other threads suggests it might be due to the press ups - did you do the easier version with your knee on the floor ? I'm going to try it with a cushion tomorrow - I don't want to have to give up aleady.

Thinking of joining you but still waiting for the DVD to arrive...

Tortoise - I did lunges at a Boot camp a couple of months ago and my knees started hurting when I never had a problem with them before. She said that it was because my knee went over my ankle when I did lunges and that I was overstretching the ligaments. Make sure your knee stays over your ankle and not further.

Can I join if the DVD ever arrive?

Went to bed feeling fine this morning and have woken up in pain.

back shoulders, back of my legs, bum ( double ouch ) and the muscles hurt on my chest near where my arm joins my body, i didnt even know you had a muscle there- all in all, Agony

how am i supposed to do the dvd feeling like this??!!!

Ok I did Zumba last night - not normal Zumba but Toning Zumba with shakey weights. It was good but I didn't feel as f*cked as I do after the Shred!

Had an hour of PT in the gym this morning and am deffo going to Shred tonight.

I've been stuck on 10s8lb for ages now and I can't seem to get anywhere Sad

I ache this morning too. Mainly in the thighs.
Yes i do push ups on my knees. My knee mostly seems to hurt if i have it bent for a little while then very painful to straighten it. Kept waking up last night because of it as i tend to sleep on my side with legs bent!
I don't think i brought my knee over toe on lunges but will take extra notice today. It's hard to coordinate the moves and concentrate on holding abs in etc! Grin

Will do day 2 in a minute.

anon80 It will hurt doing the shred again today but it is the best thing to do. Mine always eases by day 3.

Keen to get into it today and keep going - am motivated by the soreness!!
