Im starting the 30 day shred on Monday and ive seen alot of you have orderd it or are also starting monday.

Was wondering if it was a good idea to measure ourselfs in the top of our thighs, tummy, hips and whatever else in inchs to see how much we loose from where, also adding our height and weight aswell

we could put our measurements on before we start then update it after our 30 day shred?

I will measure myself over the weekend and update this thread in time for monday incase anyones intrested, or would just like to hear the results

x

Been at work all day today so only just got round to shredding. Day 3 and (touch wood) it did seem slightly easier today. i managed a lot more cardio which is where i realy struggle and overall definately felt a lot 'better' IYSWIM. Don't know if thats down to the different time or maybe its actually starting to work. Grin

Legs still agony though today. The only time they don't hurt quite so much is straight after shred. I guess muscles are still loose?

Trying not to weigh myself for the whole thirty days so i don't get disheartened with the 'lack of loss' but might weigh after i finish level 1. Maybe. Normally daily weigher so its hard not to.

Lavitabellissima · 03/03/2011 22:49

Didn't get a chance today, do I need to do it twice to make up for it?

rusmum · 04/03/2011 07:57

i am starting again monday all being well. bought a pilates ball to aid the sit up parts.

catinboots · 04/03/2011 10:00

lavita - you have to do it three times today because you have been a naughty girl Grin

My friend came over last night and we got pissed on vodka then I made myself get up and shred at 6am and early passed out/vomited/died

Now eating celery at work

I love my life

Tortoise · 04/03/2011 10:02

I confess i didn't do it yesterday either. Blush
I have a headache this morning but will tidy front room then shred (too much mess on the floor to shred first, bloody kids!)

Tortoise · 04/03/2011 12:52

Day 4 done. Head is less achy now. Maybe exercise did it some good! Smile
Not sure if i will shred tomorrow. Depends if DD1 and DD2 will play in their room while i get on with it. I don't want an audience.

anon80 · 04/03/2011 13:39

day 5 done!!!! Found it easier today and my body isn't as sore.

Am i the only one here who has done it 5 days in a row so far!!?? Come on ladies keep at it- im seeing results already xx

anon80 · 04/03/2011 13:43

Tortoise you didnt do it yesterday! then no way can you not do it tomorrow, come on dont slack otherwise its a steep hill downwards.

Just do it with your DC there, my little girl was crawling all over me while i was trying to do sit ups and the chest arm thing, i kept calling my DH to help but he just kept walking in the room laughing his head of at me 'shes only trying to help you' was all he could say Hmm between fits of laughter

Tortoise · 04/03/2011 14:00

I would have done it yesterday but was out all morning then by the time i got home and had lunch i had to go out again! Then DD1 and DD2 had trampolining 5-6 and Ds2 has it 6-7. So didn't get home until 7.30. Then dinner and too many good programmes on TV Grin.

I need to be able to concentrate to do it properly and DD's in the room would distract me. I will try hard to get it done! Smile

TerrorFirmer · 04/03/2011 14:36

So.. I was up to day 6 on level one (over seven days Wink ) and was getting bored and finding it a bit tricky to really challenge myself anymore. I thought I'd try level two today, just for a change. OMFG I AM DYING.

Is this my punishment for getting a bit cocky and going up a level too soon?

anon & tortoise - I have to shred when DS is napping (he's 20 mo and likes to 'join in') and when DP is as far away as possible. He either laughs, or asks why I'm doing a "Gillian McKeith Workout video". He thinks he is very funny. Confused

anon80 · 04/03/2011 14:57

lol Terror, I am actually scared to do level 2 and will not be doing it untill day 11, when im supposed too. Dvd played on abit yesterday and i saw walking push ups!!!! turned it off straight away as i dont want to know till i have too pmsl.

I have to do mine sometimes when DH is here because if i waited for him to go out i might be too tired or unable to do it then, so have too. cringe, poor thing having to watch me red faced jumping around the front room. lol

OP posts:
5DollarShake · 04/03/2011 15:36

I turned Gillian's voice off yesterday as she was annoying me too, but found it a LOT harder without. Shock

I think hearing her jibber on helps pass the time, plus she does that countdown thing, 'two more, one more', etc which helps, as without that you have no sense of when each set is going to finish and that killed for me!

Just done Day 5 and I am finally finding it a bit 'easier', i.e. my muscles don't ache as much as before.

MittzyBittzyTeenyWeeny · 04/03/2011 16:10

I do that 5Dollar and put music on instead..

I missed yesterday but will get on with it later tonight. I haven't felt so good for a day or so..

Lavitabellissima · 04/03/2011 16:15

Pmsl catinboots I did it this morning but can't do it again!

However I have not had an alcoholic beverage since last Saturday, so am feeling rather virtuous. Also the girls have finally started sleeping well at night, so am feeling good for the exercise and sleep.

I hope we all stick to it because I really think we'll see results!

Tortoise · 04/03/2011 16:54

There is no rule about doing level 2 after 10 days. Move upto level 2 when you feel ready or level 1 isn't as much as a challenge as it was. Smile
I am dreading level 2 and 3 as i know what they are like! Grin

anon80 · 04/03/2011 17:03

ohhh i thought you had to do 10 days of level 1 then 10 of level 2 and 10 of level 3, making the 30 day shred!

Hmmm maybe after a couple more days i will move up to level 2 early then

Thanks x

OP posts:
Tortoise · 04/03/2011 17:41

No, you can do all 30 days on level 1 if you need to Smile. Level 3 is quite intense! Rock star jumps are the work of the devil! Grin And in either 2 or 3 (can't remember, 3 i think!) cardio is done while holding weights!

MittzyBittzyTeenyWeeny · 05/03/2011 08:48

DC's at their Dad's much of the weekend so a good time for me to do it uninterrupted.

That sounds like a good week Lavita Smile

I am reassessing my diet as well, and making a concerted effort to increase my water intake, I do drink quite a bit but maybe not the recommended amount.

Hope all have positive weekends even if you don't get to shred.

catinboots · 05/03/2011 10:39

I just went to the gym then shredded when I go back!

Destroyed now - going to hop in the bath

MittzyBittzyTeenyWeeny · 05/03/2011 10:48

Setting the bar high CatinBoots!... Taking DC's to Dads and then.......

anon80 · 05/03/2011 13:33

Will be starting day 6 in a minute!! Only 1 more day then i would have done a full weeks worth- I am impressed with myself

Althou must sort diet out or im not going to get anywhere

rusmum · 05/03/2011 14:14
