So your doing the 30 day shred! want to keep a logg?

Im starting the 30 day shred on Monday and ive seen alot of you have orderd it or are also starting monday.

Was wondering if it was a good idea to measure ourselfs in the top of our thighs, tummy, hips and whatever else in inchs to see how much we loose from where, also adding our height and weight aswell

we could put our measurements on before we start then update it after our 30 day shred?

I will measure myself over the weekend and update this thread in time for monday incase anyones intrested, or would just like to hear the results

Day 2 done.
Didn't realise how sore my shoulders were until i started the arm crosses! Ow! I think i did ok though. Smile

going libary with DD, then come back do housework, and hopefully DD will go to sleep for an hour at 4 then ill crack on with day 2 - althou not looking forward to it as im sore and am worried i wont do aswell as i wanted to today

DVD just arrived! Off to do measurements now then do DVD then post! A bit excited (but haven't read the thread yet so I don't get scared! Grin)

Did the dvd today after the school run, I dont bother measuring my bust but do measure the tops of my arms so Ive included that instead. I also kickbox on a weds, and Im getting back to running again. I aim to do the shred at least every morning during the week and slack off rest/do something else on a weekend.

Day 2 done this morning, although my knee was better for walking I really flt in on the side lunge so will take care on that one.

I also did a run this morning so expecting to stiffen up later. I could feel my abs more today so hoping that's a good thing.

Can anyone tell me though - I had a c-section five months ago and I haven't really done any exercise since then Blush. Do you think I would be alright to launch myself straight into this? Scar feels fine and I haven't had any issues at all with it.

I really need a kick up the arse to get fitter and this thread looks like it might be the solution!

I need a few days to gather confidence to post weight and measurements but will try to before next week Blush

I am not going to do it on a Tuesday because I go to a gym where we do a lot of the exercises that are on Shred.

LOL no not collapsed! Had visitor turn up literally just as I finished! So that was a bit embarassing! Had to run crawl and get changed quickly. I quite enjoyed it actually which was a big suprise considering how totally unfit I am. Didn't manage to do it all (spent a bit of time just marching on the spot during the cardio Blush) but did a lot more than I thought I'd do and felt really good afterwards (although my legs were like jelly!) Actually looking forward to doing it again tomorrow! Also not sure on position for a few bits so think I'm going to have to get DH to watch me Shock and correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm also measuring arms instead of bust, trying to lose the bingo wings but really don't want to track any decrease in my bust size as that will actually be a bad thing in my case!

Hello again, have added myself properly now! Just back from a run, prob won't shred again this week as have a half marathon on sunday, and my shoulder is hurting from yesterday's shred, and I don't want to put myself out of the race. Have been running now for a couple of years, prob 2-3 times a week, did the london marathon last year, and have never been heavier Sad, yes, I'm fit, but am also now a tight 14 rather than a loose 12.... On hols in 6 weeks, so really hoping the shred will do its magic.

Tortoise, srry didnt see your previous note, well hopefully it will ease by day 3 as thats tomorrow and i dont know how much longer i ca keep this up, im in pain.

Well finished my day 2, i was sore from yesterday but still done it today and now showering after my workout even caused me pain- I am such a huge wuss!!

I am actually dreading waking up tomorrow now lol

i think tomorrow will be my test day of how much i actually want to get fit and loose weight. I must must must do it.

I am the lightest here at 8st 11, but also the smallest, shame it goes by 'shape' instead of weight otherwise id be fine lol.

Well done anon. Smile Honestly, it does get easier. I did 60 days of it last year! Grin Wait until you try level 2 or 3!! At the moment going to the toilet is the most painful thing i have found! Lowering myself down is a killer on the aching thighs. Grin

I would like to join but am a bit scared as looking at all of your measurements I am alot bigger than you lot Blush. None of you seem very big/overweight.
Do you think that the dvd is more for toning or do you think it would also shift layers inches of fat aswell?

sillytart You can/will lose inches if you are eating healthily as well. Smile It is designed to burn fat as well as tone.

yeah sillytart you will loose weight too- dont worry about you being bigger, I maybe 8st11 now but this time last year i was 11stone 3, that sounds like nothing but i am only 5 foot so that is lots and lots, plus i find the bigger you are the quicker you loose the weight to begin with.

OW! not done day 2 as woke up today with terrible lower back pain ( i have a reoccuring problem!!). Think i have triggered it off with abs work? Will rest it couple of days and rejoin minus abs x

Definitely join in sillytart - Gillian has 2 sidekicks with her, one of whom does a slightly lower impact version for beginners. I do this one in most cases and am still feeling the burn!

I have just had a long hot shower to try to soothe my muscles - I am aching! Shock God knows what I will feel like tomorrow morning.

Ow ow ow ow ow! Sore this morning. Just having a coffee then going to shred.

My plan today is to use the great feeling of energy after shredding to get the housework done Grin Thats providing my legs actually still work.

Still feeling pretty enthusiastic about it - hope this lasts! So unlike me - especially when it hurts!

Shredding done, was much easier than yesterday although still didn't manage to do all the exercises. Also had the benefit of stopping the aching a bit.

Managed a lot more of the cardio this morning too, so thats a nice quick improvement.

Off to clean the house now.
