Im starting the 30 day shred on Monday and ive seen alot of you have orderd it or are also starting monday.

Was wondering if it was a good idea to measure ourselfs in the top of our thighs, tummy, hips and whatever else in inchs to see how much we loose from where, also adding our height and weight aswell

we could put our measurements on before we start then update it after our 30 day shred?

I will measure myself over the weekend and update this thread in time for monday incase anyones intrested, or would just like to hear the results

Day 4 level 1 done Smile

Come on anon get your backside in gear - it's only 20 minutes and you'll feel great afterwards Grin you know you will. Don't phone this one in now!

Tortoise · 22/03/2011 22:37

Anon I need my butt to be kicked too! I last shredded on Thursday. DS2 has been home the last 2 days, still has ear ache, and he will be home again tomorrow. I need to get back into this before i slip back into not doing it at all again.
I still walk 4-6 miles a day doing school drop off/pick ups and clubs, plus walk the dogs 3x a day. Not very long walks (about 20mins) because one is a lazy greyhound who can't cope with long walks.

Back to it tomorrow i hope! Smile

Tortoise · 24/03/2011 09:58

Where have you all gone?
I am going to get back to shredding this morning as DS2 is back at school.

Tortoise · 24/03/2011 10:51

Day 14 (i think) now done. So day 4 on level 2. Very hot so am going to make the most of the peace and quiet and go have a bath! Grin
I didn't lose any weight this week but its now 3 wks without crisps or chocolate!

MittzyBittzyTeenyWeeny · 24/03/2011 13:10

Here for a butt kicking Smile I am very intermittant as is my posting about it but the spirit is still willing. Technically on abut day 9 but spread over a longer period Blush.

I haven't noticed any exterior differences but still feel more energised and fit although my poor joints are painful.

AnyoneForPimms · 24/03/2011 13:34

Just ordered my copy and will also need to go out and buy a tape measure.
Hopefully will be sorted by Monday so I can make a start!!

stringbean · 24/03/2011 21:11

Just completed level 1 day 7. Definitely finding it easier; thighs are looking less wobbly and shoulders v toned (but visit gym as well). Sadly no change in waist which was the one thing I wanted to change! Being v good - no biscuits etc. Need to screw up the courage for level 2 now because I know it will HURT.

pixiestix · 24/03/2011 23:11

I'm still here too! Day 19 done and no day off so far, but still feeling far too wobbly Sad and still hating those pendulum lunges! Not sure that I'm going to make the jump to Level 3 quite yet!

BengtsPolarPineSauna · 25/03/2011 13:13

Hello all

Can I join in? Just done day 2, level 1 and feeling very achy today. Particularly under my arms and my bum.

Finding motivation hard already Hmm. Have been doing once DCs in bed and I'm so knackered afterwards have to go to bed myself.

Hope it's worth it......
Lovely sunny day here.

pixiestix · 26/03/2011 23:09

God, its quiet around here lately! Are you all phoning it in?? Grin

Just done Level 3, Day 1!! Woo hoo! Have been sticking to the 10 days per level routine that we talked about at the beginning. It actually wasnt too bad - the jump from 1 to 2 definitely felt worse. Level 2 is hard in a sweaty, breathless, panty sort of way (for me at least) whereas Level 3 is hard in a "don't have the strength to haul my arse off the ground in that particular position" kind of a way.

Are you still around Anon? How are you doing?

stringbean · 27/03/2011 09:38

I've just dragged myself out of bed for level 2 day 3. The jump from level 1 is really hard - think I'll need some lighter weights, but am definitely seeing results! Did 7 days on level 1, but think I'll certainly need 10 days on level 2 at this rate. Nice to see the women on the DVD ('Nadalee') are finding it hard too!!

JelliBelli · 27/03/2011 16:40

Ladies, there is another thread running here that has more traffic if you are interested.

BengtsPolarPineSauna you haven't phoned it in have you? Come and stay with the programme it REALLY will be worth sticking with.

BengtsPolarPineSauna · 27/03/2011 17:41

Hello

Here I am! Have only done 3 days at Level 1 so far (gave myself yesterday off), but planning a renewed attack this evening.

Can I just ask you ladies:
a) what weights are you using
b) when did you start seeing results

Am determined to see this through to the bitter end. If only to prove DH wrong (he is convinced I'll lose interest), so I need all the encouragement I can get!

How is everyone else doing?

anon80 · 29/03/2011 11:51

Hello all!!!!!!

have been at my mums in Derby since wednesday, but comming home tomorrow night. have actually missed shredding!! and the feeling of pride i get off of it after a work out, so i cant wait to get back and start in again in full force.

gone abit quite on here??? but some of you are still doing really well, keep it up im amazed at your determination.

BENGTS some poeple here use water bottles or tin food as weights other 1kg weights or 3 kgs, so use what you like. If you shred everyday for a week you should start seeing results, not weight loss wise, but you seem to have had an inch gone from your waist somehow- its brill, so measure yourself first, so you can see more clearly what you have lost cos that way it will keep you motivated more.

I know what your saying about people thinking yo wont do it to the end or you will give up, thats what makes me even more determined to do it and with a smile on my face. Cant wait to see their jaws drop when they realise i am serious about this, i am keeping it up and i wil see it through to the end, i can sense the satisfaction now lol.

I was doing really well at the begging, did 10 days straigh of level 1 then slacked alittle and the came up to derby to visit my mum, but when i get back i will be kicking some serious arse, mine!! I will do this, im determined too.

TooTiredToArgue · 29/03/2011 14:38

Hi Anon

It's Bengt again, but have name changed. I've done 5 days so far, level 1, but am determined to continue. Still using cans for weights at the mo, but might treat myself to some proper weights at the weekend.

Can't see any difference yet, but, hey ho, early days.

Feel a bit depressed today by the fact that at DS's swimming class today there was a gorgeous woman in a bikini displaying a Gillian type six pack. Envy Not an ounce of fat anywhere. Jealous, moi?

Any other new starters?

pixiestix · 29/03/2011 23:16

Glad you are still around Anon - you were my inspiration to get the DVD! Grin
Well done TooTired. I know what you mean about body envy but luckily I am mostly surrounded by new mums at the moment, so we are all wobbly together!
Day 4 of Level 3 done for me, though I am still cheating doing all the easy moves. I can't envisage a world in which I will ever be able to do jumping lunges without popping a kneecap off! Grin

lizardqueenie · 30/03/2011 15:40

Hi there! Anyone else thinking of starting? Someone on another thread recommended this dvd to me. I've been following this thread to see how you are all doing and am shit scared keen to start too. Placing an amazon order this evening so should be shreading by the end of the week! :)

pixiestix · 01/04/2011 08:37

Off to do Day 7 of Level 3 so very nearly at the end! Smile

Getting a bit bored of it now tbh and really looking forward to having a break for a few days. I'm going to try and keep doing it a few times a week because I can feel a massive difference in my fitness levels and it would be a shame to go back to utter couch-potatodom.

Tortoise, Lavita, Catinboots - any of you still shredding?

WhatsWrongWithYou · 01/04/2011 10:36

I've lost my DVD! < wails >
Got to Day 4 level1, left off for a few lazy busy days and now can't find it - bummer.
I've done a couple of other DVDs I already have, and been to the gym, so at least I feel I've kick-started something, and I do feel stronger.
Will keep looking and hopefully get back to it soon. Keep at it all!

anon80 · 01/04/2011 15:36

Pixie your doing great!!!

Well im back from my mothers now but have not been able to shred- was in hospital last night due to an asthma attack and am now on steriods!! chest is still weak so cant exercise today but hope to be abit better tomorrow so i can shred again- i have missed it dearly!!!! Im going to be on steroids for 5 days, wonder if it will get me results quicker?!! hubby says there not them type of steroids, but surly they must help me do something if im exercising whilst taking them??!!

OP posts:
Tortoise · 01/04/2011 19:44

I have been seriously slacking and haven't shredded for about a week Blush. I will try and get back to it! I am worried about finding time to shred in the Easter holiday. With 4 children at home i'm not sure i will have time but the holiday's are so long this time that i don't want to not shred for that long.

anon80 · 02/04/2011 21:33

8 STONE 8LB- IM 8 STONE 8LB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

weighed myself today, havent in a while as i havent been shredding due to visiting my mum, then having an asthma attack and being put on steroids so still not shredding, but after jumping on the scales half an hour ago and seeing what i weigh ( i checked 3 times lol ) i am so shredding tomorrow even if it kills me.

I know it doesnt seem alot but you have no idea how looooooong i was stuck on 8 stone 11 for, now i feel im properly away from it, so even if i put 2lbs back on, which i will try double hard not too il still be under 8st 11 :)

wohoooo. still have massive love handles and back fat that needs to go though

Thanks for the knees advice. I have been doing the strengthening exercises and think it is helping.

Have also realised that some of the pain is due to me taking up golf - it is the twisting that does it.

Seems to be getting better though. Thanks.

ChablisLover · 05/04/2011 09:42

started yesterday and it was hard!

But definitely feel better for it - roll on this evening - day 2

Even kept going when DH came down to see what all the huffing & puffing was about!
