Im starting the 30 day shred on Monday and ive seen alot of you have orderd it or are also starting monday.

Was wondering if it was a good idea to measure ourselfs in the top of our thighs, tummy, hips and whatever else in inchs to see how much we loose from where, also adding our height and weight aswell

we could put our measurements on before we start then update it after our 30 day shred?

I will measure myself over the weekend and update this thread in time for monday incase anyones intrested, or would just like to hear the results

Hi I've only just joined so don't have any huge successes to report - but I think from having lurked on other shred threads that missing the odd day isn't the end of the world - at least, that's how I intend to see it!
I thinks it has to be better to do three or four sessions a week than none at all, you just won't see results as quickly.

Lavitabellissima · 16/03/2011 09:54

I think you need to aim to do it every day then if you miss one it's not so bad but you should be trying to do 6/7 days to really see results.

I'mBeing led astray by my healthy eating plan as DP has filled the house with naughty sweet treats, I've given up chocolate for lent but there is no chocolate in baileys ice cream. It's so hard to be good Sad

Tortoise · 16/03/2011 13:10

Day 11, day 2 of level 2 done. Now i have to walk the dogs! Hmm

catinboots · 16/03/2011 14:23

I've been crap here. Had a couple of days off now starting Level 2 tonight

tulpe · 16/03/2011 14:45

Catinboots I too have been totally crap and just completed day 4 of level 1 (day 3 was last thursday Blush )

Anyway, onwards and upwards!.......actually hopefully downwards in terms of thigh size :o

MittzyBittzyTeenyWeeny · 16/03/2011 14:59

I have copped out for a few days due to a nasty cough/cold making me feel exhausted. I didn't even go kick boxing yesterday or walk into town as I planned. Sad

I want to but just feel so meh..

I am going to buy a tonic in town tomorrow as hate feeling like this.

Keep on keeping on though.. we will get there Smile

bogle · 16/03/2011 18:12

oh dear, have failed today, got back into bed after taking DC to school and have had lots of carbs and 2 creme eggs....

Tortoise · 16/03/2011 18:17

Mittzy I have had a horrible cold too. Somehow i have managed to shred, albeit gently! Normally i would have given in and not bothered. I'm not sure what has happened to me lol!

MittzyBittzyTeenyWeeny · 16/03/2011 20:33

Tomorrows another day Bogle Smile

I did manage it and a tiny run with DD. The muscles around my armpits are whimpering a little!

NewBeginning.. Hi Smile I think lots of us are finding we have to fit around our busy schedules! And therefore missing days, but the intent is there... and it must make some difference

Nagoo · 16/03/2011 21:32

Hi everyone, I'm doing it again:)

Level 1 day 2, but properly, paying more attention to form etc.

I am so much fitter! And I'm really seeing results! keep it up, just 20 mins a day, you know you can....

this is you time baby! Don't even think about phoning this one in Wink

Giddyup · 16/03/2011 22:11

Sorry to hear some of you are poorly. I haven't shredded today: DD has been wailing inconsolably in teething pain (I think) since her usual bedtime of 7pmSad. I actually think my belly is looking slightly better I think.

anon80 · 17/03/2011 10:26

well I am just finding this impossible to do, the last couple of days have been a nightmare, as soon as the dvd goes on my DD 17 months, screams the house down (I put her in her bouncer) so ive been trying to do it without her in her bouncer and it is just impossible! Shes under foot, I have visions of me knocking her out accidently whist doing a jumping jack, also when im on my back doing crunches ect she is crawling over me or throwing the toneing balls (that i use as weights) onto me-(not nastily, she thinks she is giving them to me).

The only time i can do it then is when she goes to sleep, which isnt till 1.

So that has basically destroyed my mornings, as when i go out or do things before the shred im too tired to do it, plus it takes me along time to get ready, makeup ect to go out in the first place, let alone do it all again after the shred and shower

To shred takes me 25 minutes ( warm up and warm down) then i have to shower, then wash my hair every 2 days, due to the sweat, drying hair takes ages blah blah blah, moan mmoan moan. so your looking at the shred takingabout an hour and 15

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, she plays by herself normally, such a happy child but when im doing the dvd she wants to be glued to me and wont go and play.

What do you do, not taking ashower after is not an option, im sweaty and red faced ( so also need to do make up again anyway, only if im going out obviously )

Ok, ive calmed down alittle, its obvious that im going to have to get up at 6 in the morning. Before DD awakes at 8.

I will not like this, but if i want to loose weight and get rid of the flab.............huhhhhh I hate everyone who isnt fat!

Tortoise · 17/03/2011 10:56

Anon I guess early morning before DD wakes up or in the evening when she has gone to bed. I used to hate doing it in the evening but i would never be able to shred in the morning.
I'm a minger because i don't shower after shredding but only because i don't have a shower and baths take too long! But i don't find i am that sweaty afterwards, just hot.

I need to get on with todays shred! Have to go out at 1pm so can't put it off much longer! Having a 'can't be bothered' morning though!

Tortoise · 17/03/2011 10:57

Oh plus i don't wear any make up so no problems there lol!

tulpe · 17/03/2011 11:10

Sorry to hear a few of you are under the weather :( Floradix is a great tonic and never fails to help me get back on the road to recovery. Of course, as exercise stimulates all the body's systems into maximum function, it could be that the illness is a side effect of getting things moving, as it were. Continuing at a gentle pace where possible would perhaps be the way to go?

Anon - like you, it seems to take me forever to get myself ready after shredding. I either do it first thing after school run at 9am (turning up at school gates with messy hair and no make up is perfectly acceptable in our neck of the woods if you are wearing gym gear Wink ); or I will do it after feeding DCs supper at around 6pm. Any later and I just lose enthusiasm. Often, I will play the dvd on the laptop, positioned next to the tv so that I can watch East Enders on iPlayer whilst I shred. Makes it less boring!

Tortoise · 17/03/2011 11:42

Day 13 (put wrong number yesterday!) day 3 level 2. I was a bit sweaty today, must be warmer outside! Had a quick top half wipe over! lol!

Giddyup · 17/03/2011 21:05

I just did level 1 day 5, I very nearly bottled out but found the motivation at the last minute.

MarionCole · 17/03/2011 21:10

Should I do this? I want to lose some weight and be more toned but I have no motivation time.

Lavitabellissima · 17/03/2011 22:29

I need a pep talk!

So I didn't shred today and I've been eating crap baileys ice cream and drinking red wine
I am 17 days in and have now taken 3 days off, not much I know but I can feel the downward spiral Sad motivation is tough, although I have a goal and am doing well with it although could do with showering more. I am either doing it first thing in the morning out once the twins arr in bed.

Please shout at me and tell me to get my arse in gear Smile

pixiestix · 18/03/2011 08:51

GET YOUR ARSE IN GEAR LAVITABELLISSIMA! I don't want you to phone this in girl!! I want you to feel like you're gonna DIEEEEEEE!! Grin
Seriously, do today and you will be halfway through the 30 days which is fantastic.

Marion you do need to be quite motivated to do this but it is a really good way to tone up and get fitter quickly.

Off to do Day 3 of Level 2. I'm really enjoying it - much more than Level 1. Although I have no co-ordination at all and I can only do the very easiest versions! I pmsl every time she yells "I want you to be gargling your heart by the end of this!" Grin

anon80 · 18/03/2011 09:35

Day 2 level 2 done ( day 12 )

Didnt get up at 6, but still managed to work out this morning as DH looked after DD

Lavita, 17 Days in!!!!!!! You would be stupid to stop now after holding out for so long.

someone saying behind your back "knew she wouldnt be able to do it" That would get me going, just to prove them wrong, but im like that lol

Are you not seeing results?? If you are then surly you wouldnt mind that being doubled.

Get off your backside and do it, are you a stroppy teenager or a women for christ sake.....pfffft 17 days in and loosing motivation.......just dont know there born these days.

Did That help??? Or was I too harsh Blush

I was doing well then lost motivation for a couple of days, but ive picked it back up now and hope to steam through to the end in flying colours- you can too :)
