Oh god I LONG for a flat arse

you can park a car in the shade of mine

Cybsaysbaggsie · 23/02/2011 12:54

I saw a man get off the rain t'other day wearing a blouson style jacket with elasticated bottom and his suit jacket was hanging out by about 2 feet underneath and I thought I must tell the MN gals about that

See, you are never far from my mind

MmeLindt · 23/02/2011 12:54

We do lots of walking when in cities. Walks in parks, along by lakes, around the streets.

I feel the cold easily. Am used to warmer temps.

My mum goes to Paris to visit my sister wearing:
fleece
caoule
mum boots
rucksack
cross-body bag

Sometimes she takes waterproof overtrousers if the weather is looking a bit iffy.

It is ageing my poor sister horribly. She is a fairly stylish and groomed individual and is now having to get her hair coloured as the strain of trying to look like she isn't with mum in cafes is turning her hair grey.

openofjars Sad your poor sister. She has my undying sympathy

I HATE those giant duvets as quilts jackets. Yes, you may be warm, but they're an absolute pain on the tube - especially at rush hour as they're the size of another human being.

AbsDuCroissant · 23/02/2011 13:13
Envy

I've never been accused of being a troll. It's the only thing missing on my MN bingo Sad

London is not warm. It is UK.

Geneva is warm.

ImeldaSnowboots · 23/02/2011 13:26

London is warm, we were there on trip couple of years ago feb/march, my DS, when watching changing of the guard said loudly "its too hot, I want to go back home where its cold" (worries about giving out too much personal info, then remembers loads of people live further north than london!) Grin

MmeLindt · 23/02/2011 13:27

how not to wear quilted jacket

She needs a more fitted one. And no hands in pockets.

FluffyMummy123 · 23/02/2011 13:27

well i was ROASTING there yest - suppose its in and out of shops/tube
overheated.
i think we can agree that peopels ideas of heat vary

Fleece is made from recycled plastic bottles.

We were in Milan during fashion week one year (by chance, I don't have a glam job). We took our nanny to look after ds. She wore home-made polyester long shorts (elasticated)with knicker-line, a T-shirt with a dolphin on it and a sort of zippy blouson affair. Oh, and clunky sandals. With socks.

So bad it could almost have been Prada

maltesers · 23/02/2011 13:30

No make up. . . .!
Yes, handbag worn across body, and oh yes as DuplicitousB said, biscuits in tupperware ! SSSooooo funny !

AbsDuCroissant · 23/02/2011 13:30

Did you get a blow dry at TopShop in the end?

TrillianAstra · 23/02/2011 13:30

I do not think they are coming back in, just that they might one day!

openerofjars · 23/02/2011 13:31

Yes, but what about the Merrell Wakefield [worried]?

LessNarkyPuffin · 23/02/2011 13:35

My mother has two pairs of Mum Boots. I was panicking when I clicked the link. I am safe.

AbsDuCroissant · 23/02/2011 13:38

What these mums should actually be doing is looking to Gadaffi for inspiration. His outfits are never dull
