The jackets I linked to are stylish and the quilted one isn't huge - ie, not padded out like a great big duvet.

MmeLindt · 23/02/2011 12:39

I know, but I was looking for something for Strep.

And, tbh, when it is 0°C I would rather be warm than chic.

DuplicitousBitch · 23/02/2011 12:40

haha @ thin greyhounds, i bet all teh other dogs hate them

bellavita · 23/02/2011 12:40

DB - good job I am italian!

streptococcus · 23/02/2011 12:40

i already have a big padded coat looked great when i was a size 8.... not so good now i am 2 stone bigger!

MmeLindt · 23/02/2011 12:40

Depends on the quilting, I find. There are some coats that are really puffy, and some that are less so.

My neighbour has one that I covet. Sleek but really cosy.

bellavita · 23/02/2011 12:41

Mme, sorry that may have come out wrong, I didn't mean you would look like a trussed up sausage, I meant women in general if they are not stick like.

DuplicitousBitch · 23/02/2011 12:41

i have worn big berghaus freebie coat all winter and looked like the mishapen turd of a giant with an iron rich diet. but wtf i am warm

FluffyMummy123 · 23/02/2011 12:42

DuplicitousBitch · 23/02/2011 12:42

bellavita to have to wear quilted jacket in 28 degrees heat to show off just how italian and used to teh heat you are

MmeLindt · 23/02/2011 12:43

DB

the reason i think the fleece and cagoule combo is popular is that when you get a bit warm you can take off a layer and shove it in your bag without it being bulky or it getting trashed.... iyswim.

which is great when tracking miles around the fecking science museum with 3 under 7's.

so i want to look incredibly stylish but also very practical... thts not possible is it?

DuplicitousBitch · 23/02/2011 12:44

hi mme no we didn't meet will tweet you!

Deaddei · 23/02/2011 12:44

FluffyMummy123 · 23/02/2011 12:44

Don't think I have ever found a jacket or coat other than quilted one that was warm enough just to wear a sweater underneath.

Ah, ok DB. Got muddled there cause you said that you lived in same town as SGM.
