I know I said I was off to bed but Rips Debenhams offer got me browsing. (Luckily the P8 top I've just orderd isn't included in the offer). What do we think of this beige jumper from Betty Jackson as a school run number - too plain?
here

MrsSeanBean · 13/02/2011 21:47

Tracey - of course it was - I knew you'd know. V impressive recall of detail!

blossoming · 13/02/2011 21:49

Thanks mrssb!

blossoming · 13/02/2011 21:52

And thanks traceyb. I need to sell my Hunters. They 're brown. So not my colour!!

KILDARE4 · 13/02/2011 21:53

Mrs SB I too have a pair of Houlihans and find them very comfortable and flattering but they do seem to stretch.Smile

VerityBrulee · 13/02/2011 21:54

Bloss the boys were v disappointed, it was so close. Glad you had a good night out, love the rock chick look Smile

redllamayellowllama · 13/02/2011 21:56

Bloss, hope it doesn't disappoint - it's £35, thickish cotton, nice fit (and some serious vanity sizing going on in there - I was a size 8).

DH has returned from his 'boy's' weekend a little worse for wear. Will go and attempt some form of communication. Have made a heart-shaped cake for tomorrow. Silly really, he is on an extreme diet and won't eat it, but he's no good at receiving things of any monetary value and hates presents being bought for him. Had a lovely moment today - we met in Covent Garden and was looking for him in a crowd and suddenly thought, 'He's quite hot' and it was DH. He's lost so much weight in a short amount of time that the reality of him wasn't matching the image in my head. Was all Blush and giggly when I reached him. Have been a little wrapped up in myself recently, so shall be lavishing attention on him for a while!

Waffle, waffle...

VerityBrulee · 13/02/2011 21:57

Nice top Ollie, great that dh is coming around to the extension!

Kildare bet your dd was the belle of the ball last night, she sounded gorgeous

MrsSeanBean · 13/02/2011 21:58

That's encouraging Kildare!

Do you have to be brunette for Houlihans to work really well? [odd merging of threads/ thoughts tonight]

VerityBrulee · 13/02/2011 21:59

Ah, Red that's so sweet about your dh Smile

PlumSykes · 13/02/2011 22:01

Love this Topshop dress, but know kimono sleeves very bad on me. Any good for anyone else?

blossoming · 13/02/2011 22:04

That is lovely red.
Well I'm brunette do I'm hoping for gold with my skinny cargos!

MrsSeanBean · 13/02/2011 22:05

Dress not for me either Plum... but I do like these shoes which were a link off to the right of that page!

FritziGreenEyes · 13/02/2011 22:06

Bloss Would love to see you in EA inspired rock chick outfit at MOAM!

PlumSykes · 13/02/2011 22:07

It was the shoes that led me to the dress, MrsSB! I love them, but have got these on their way, so will wait any see. But the TS ones are lower, so better, maybe?

MrsSeanBean · 13/02/2011 22:10

Plum Nice KG! But there's a part of me which is in tune with the crepe soles of the TS versison.

Dontcha just love the 'you may also like...' links on sites? :)

VerityBrulee · 13/02/2011 22:15

I like Mrs CFs dress Very elegant.

blossoming · 13/02/2011 22:16

I absolutely love that look fritzi. Need a top. Absolute bane of my life.

VerityBrulee · 13/02/2011 22:22

Bloss EA wears a lot of bretons with her skinnies and heels.

I am going to wear my favourite drapey dress to MU, but I'm gutted that I sold a gorgeous pair of Gucci patent wedges on ebay a while back as I never had occasion to wear them. I do now!

Feelingsensitive · 13/02/2011 22:23

Just wanted to pop in and say hello.

Love all the links. Ollie - The top is lovely if you suit beige. I love the top but know the colour would look terrible on me.

Zembo - Glad you are on the mend.

Fleecy - Congatulations.

Feeling a bit Sad as FIL died on saturday so am in Cornwall with DH seeing MIL. Left the children in London with my sister. I miss them terribly. I have only had one night away and that was 30 miles away. Anyway, am off to investigate some of the links to take my mind off it all .......

TheAllNewOoooh · 13/02/2011 22:32

I'm so sorry feelingsensitive. It must be a horrible time, especially without a littlie to hug. Do make sure you take care of yourself as well as your DH and MIL.

Operation distraction: are you shopping for anything in particular?

employmentlawquery · 13/02/2011 22:33

Oh hello, good evening ladies. Just in case any ladies in their 40s are reading this (and perhaps feeling a little discouraged) I had DS aged 44 and it was the best thing I ever did. Mind you, if I could sit down and plan my life I would have met DH when I was 20 rather than in my very late 30s, but there you go, it does not always work out like that.

(I am afraid I started looking through Style and Beauty because I wanted to vaguely resemble the other mums at nursery,as I expected there would be a substantial age gap. However, a surprising number in our area appear to be in their 40s too).

TheAllNewOoooh · 13/02/2011 22:43

What do we think about this for a spring jacket?

bunnymother · 13/02/2011 22:46

Fleecy am thrilled for you!!!
