NY - poor friend, but great that she's got you!

Fleecy · 18/02/2011 21:06

How terrifying! Your poor friend. It really makes you realise how precious life is and how we sometimes take things for granted Sad

OllieWollieWoo · 18/02/2011 21:07

KILDARE4 · 18/02/2011 21:14

Thanks for your kind comments Smile

What a fab kitchen - lucky KM !

pickledsiblings · 18/02/2011 21:17

Plum, my units are similar to those except there is no where for crumbs to go at the bottom. Actually they are like the Spitalfields ones. Our kitchen is quite narrow so the fact that they ard flush to the floor really works.

blossoming · 18/02/2011 21:22

Oh gosh Kildare, how adventurous.

pickledsiblings · 18/02/2011 21:25

Blimey, x posts with about a hundred of you - I am KM Grin.

KILDARE, glad your DH is on his way home to you. A friend's DH was up KMJ this time last week. She was so glad to have him home safe at the w/e. Where was DH's expedition to?

You are just ahead of us then everything - tho I have taken a sneeky peak on You Tube at the Glee wedding scenes! Look out for their version of Bruno Mars Just The Way You Are - genius!

traceybath · 18/02/2011 21:57

Pickled - am I being dim - are you KristinaM too?

pickledsiblings · 18/02/2011 22:02

No Tracey, I am not. Good luck with the ABs btw Grin.

roary · 19/02/2011 09:16

Morning! Fellow navy blazer hunters and mrsj the Boden jersey blazer arrived last night. It's great, actually, if you unroll the sleeves the comedy lining is invisible. It's a shade or too lighter than navy but just what I wanted _ long line and semi fitted.

carci the glads are nicely narrow but can't decide if heels would blister like mad. May also exchange for metallic

AllBuggiedOut · 19/02/2011 09:24

Thanks kildare. It is mission to get this sorted this weekend! Was it Kilimanjaro your DH was climbing?

everything so glad life is Good.

bloss very exciting!

Vin I agree with Tracey on this one, go for the law job, use the money to set yourself and ds up, and think about a career change in a few years time. IIRC you are only in your mid-twenties, so you have another 40 years of working life ahead of you, lots of time to do different things Smile

Bloss whatever the job is, fingers and toes crossed it works out for you.

Bonsoir dd is 6 and in her second year of school, she was making good progress with reading, but one day we were in the library and she spotted this series of books 'Rainbow Magic' about fairies, and there's no stopping her now, she adores them. She's reading one every two days now.

I have had this wierd tingling sensation in my left hand since thursday, now it's in my cheek and toes, all on my left hand side. Trying not to let my imagination run riot, am putting it down to tiredness and stress for the moment. Have told dh I need to be waited on hand and foot take it easy for the weekend!

MarshaBrady · 19/02/2011 11:13

Verity hope you are ok lovely. Maybe see a GP for reassurance?

Vin I say law job too Smile

Florence I get emails re sale stuff and saw the Chloe dress is back in a 42IT not sure if that is right size. But could be good?

Have lovely weekends everyone, am doing work am very happy!

VerityBrulee · 19/02/2011 11:28

Thanks Marsha, hate going to the GP but will if it hasn't gone after the week-end.

Glad you are getting some time to work Smile

I love small bags too, particulary in summer, feels very liberating! I have a cream one I got from J Crew which I can't wait to bring out again when the sun starts to shine. I like this M by MJ one but just realised when I googled it it's PVC Shock! Also saw this when I was buying a scarf for myself dd. It's the perfect size for wallet, phone, keys. I think I'll get it and replace the strap with a stripey grosgrain ribbon, will be very summery.

florenceuk · 19/02/2011 12:05

DH at work, have suffered watching kids do judo in cold unheated hall. So a quick purchase at My Wardrobe definitely on the cards - thanks Marsha! Free delivery now until the 28th as well.

Vin - can't believe you're only in your mid-20s, you seem to have more life experience than someone twice your age. But being shallow, I'd go for the law/money job - esp thinking about a possible life without your p???

Zembo · 19/02/2011 12:37

Florence totally agree with your comment about Vin Smile

Vin NHS HR departments are notoriously incompetent. I can understand your job dilema, probably why I ended up in the NHS rather than earning a lot more £ in the pharmaceutical industry. Agree with other though that more dinero may give you more options right now. You really are so young still. A school friend of mine did dentistry, practiced as a dentist for a few years and then went on to do medicine in her mid to late 20s - She's now a consultant in A&E and currently plotting her next big career move (she is however single and childless).

NY so Envy that your DD seems to eat exciting food - glad to hear she sounds back to normal though. Just made some Kichri for my two (rice and lentils) -they ate it I suppose but only their usual tiny portions Sad
