New thread!

Not that I've been on the old one much Blush)

OP posts:
Fleecy · 18/02/2011 20:08

I like the Burberry they've got with the AH bag...

OllieWollieWoo · 18/02/2011 20:08

Plum - I too have had had encounters with mice! DS2 was a month old and they were all over the downstairs (old Dutch houses have open cellars than run under rows of terraced houses and you could hear them scampering undereath heating vents - horrible). Ours were so brazen - they didnt event have the courtesy to wait until nightime to come out - would scamper past me in broad daylight - I was a nervous wreck. I called Rentokil (DH went mental at the cost!) Guy told me that mice love chocolate so buy some chocolate spread to put on bread if you are going to use traps. Do you live in a old house? Use foil to fill little holes such as those at the join of 2 skirting boards- mice can collapse their skeletons to get through holes the width of a pencil but they hate foil. Oh yes, I am a mouse expert (squeak)

Will join those of you feeling a bit pfffft - 1.5 glasses of prosecco down and I'm squiffy! This is what comes of no longer drinking during the week!

MarshaBrady · 18/02/2011 20:09

Ha I just laughed at that Fleecy. Oh dear though! I love the boots and am wearing them today, and forever more and when they are kaput I may buy more Grin (in the sales).

All my other shoes are now defunct.

Wearing them while cooking is a headache as bits of oil fly around and I doing the shuffle so it doesn't land on the pale leather.

Dolce is this MJ one hideous too

MarshaBrady · 18/02/2011 20:14

or Fleecy/Ollie sorry am slow typing and badly at that.

I do have a really nice duck egg blue big one, can't remember brand, from Liberty I should just use that.

pickledsiblings · 18/02/2011 20:17

Really pretty yellow top on that page Marsha. It is great to see that you are appeciating the neons of the coming season Grin.

MarshaBrady · 18/02/2011 20:19

hahahha I know

I wore my safety harness, bicycle strip Kors belt today Grin.

OllieWollieWoo · 18/02/2011 20:19

Fleecy that blue bag is lovely. Would lift an outfit as they say!

Marsha much as a love a bit of Marc/ straw, not sure about those bags.

Watching Hot Fuzz film on TV - maybe its the wine but is very funny. God I love it when DH is away and I can sit here with pizza, yoga pants and the remote control!

pickledsiblings · 18/02/2011 20:19

What colour's your hair Marsha?

MarshaBrady · 18/02/2011 20:20

Pickled It is blonde. What does that mean?! Wink

PlumSykes · 18/02/2011 20:21

OWW, did you find a box clutch? this gold one looks good, although I know you wanted silver really.

MarshaBrady · 18/02/2011 20:21

yes they are not great are they.

I'm such a cheapskate re bags

Fleecy · 18/02/2011 20:23

Duck egg sounds very nice. I think the coral one could be really nice or it could be far too bright - hard to tell from the pics.

oww DH has just gone out with a friend for the evening - I have saved crap telly and am treating myself to a big bag of Minstrels. He's a bit nervous though as he's going to tell his friend that we're having DC3 - she has been TTC for ages with no luck so very Sad. Hard to know how to approach the subject really. Am sure she will be very nice but must be upsetting still.

notyummy · 18/02/2011 20:23

Dd and I have just had mackerel marinated in Ginger and chilli, with corn and the cob and salad. Yum! She polished off every bit.

I like Hot Fuzz OWW.

Sorry to hear about the spreading pox Fleecy.

pickledsiblings · 18/02/2011 20:23

Straw coloured bags and straw coloured hair, not sure (?). Maybe straw looks better with brown hair...

Fleecy · 18/02/2011 20:24

Just got 20% off Phase Eight email - some of you have probably got it too but just in case anyone's interested, it's P8SHEFEB11

Fleecy · 18/02/2011 20:27

Also, what do you all think of this kimono jacket? I'm quite tempted to get one to wear over vests with jeans as a summer cover up that will work right through pregnancy. But I'm not sure if the print is a bit too granny-ish?

MarshaBrady · 18/02/2011 20:27

Ah I see. straw hair / straw bag conundrum.

I will stick to the big heavy duck egg blue one. Ah wish I could remember who made it but ds2 is asleep in room. Not that keen to know...

Aw Fleecy I know. How are you feeling?

NY when do you start your new exciting job?

pickledsiblings · 18/02/2011 20:28

Fleecy, the closer the friend the harder it is. Weird that. Hope your little ones aren't suffering too much.

DH brought home Milk Tray. What a classy guy.

Dolcee, my birthday's in August too and when DH said I could have that yellow BR bag for my birthday, I just went ahead and ordered it - oops!

Fleecy · 18/02/2011 20:33

I am feeling pretty good thanks marsha - lucky enough not to be having morning sickness but am nodding off at inopportune moments!

pickled brilliant! Are you going to be able to wait until August? Surely not, it's too good to keep under wraps that long?

PlumSykes · 18/02/2011 20:34

I think that's very pretty Fleecy, I like a floaty bed-jacket look. Very 30s. Zara have some in similar style. I like this one

blossoming · 18/02/2011 20:34

I was in Phase 8 on Wednesday and they had copies of She on sale there for the 20% off voucher. Great customer service.

I had potentially fantastic news re work for September today. Highly confidential atm, and not for a public forum, but is it true 'good things come to those who wait' (or just a Guinness advert?!)

notyummy · 18/02/2011 20:34

Fleecy- not sure about that jacket. Think you would need to try it on. It could be great, but yes....potentially grannyish overtones.

Marsha- have started elements of the job already however I don't officially start for a couple of weeks.

DolceeBanana · 18/02/2011 20:34

Marsha not keen on that bag sorry.....

Like the kimono...good idea for preg cover up Fleecy.

I have my sights on Plain English Pickled...what date is your birthday? Mine's 22nd

DolceeBanana · 18/02/2011 20:36

Bloss...ooh, so exciting....you deserve it!

notyummy · 18/02/2011 20:37

Sounds v exciting Bloss!
