Eeek-eeek! Have just discovered all the tell-tale signs that suggest we have mice. Am telling self 'is better than rats, is better than rats', but really want to curl up and die. Why the bloody hell hasn't the cat caught them?

traceybath · 18/02/2011 19:18

All the best people have mice Plum Wink

Get some snappy traps and use peanut butter and then get a nice man out from the council.

PlumSykes · 18/02/2011 19:23

I knew you'd understand TB!. Will get snappy traps tomorrow. And sleep with one eye open tonight. Stupid cat.

PlumSykes · 18/02/2011 19:24

Actually, may go to night-Tesco in a bit. Can't bear idea of them mousing around while we're asleep.

DolceeBanana · 18/02/2011 19:26

I totally get the brain going pffft Tracey...have managed to get 3 to bed without any tears (phew) then struggled to get open a bottle of pinot...struggled I tell you! Sorry that you have to remain abstemious for a short while and hope you start feeling loads better soon poor thing.

As Tracey once kindly advised me Plum, all the best people have mice. And yes, not pleasant (if you are anything like me who cried-complete wuss though)...we got rid of them with 'humane' traps (which dh did not know I was popping a pellet into (to do the job properly) Wink. DH was Shock -oh the mice are dying...Hmm Sorry, I am horrid!

Oh and keep forgetting...Fritzi - lovely photo of you in dress! Gorgeous!

Vin - Tracey is right. And well done !

Pickled - I meant simple cabinets actually...sniff. Grin

DolceeBanana · 18/02/2011 19:26

x post with tb - see!!!!

DolceeBanana · 18/02/2011 19:28

Warning - the size 0 mice don't actaully set the traps...so get the tin can things as well just in case Wink .......fighting stiff!

DolceeBanana · 18/02/2011 19:30

Oh God..the pinot has kicked in...Plum...you know what I mean Grin slurrrrrr

DolceeBanana · 18/02/2011 19:31

Tracey - I do like the downtown shoes you ordered. Think they'd be really useful. Like the mocha I think. What colour did you go for?

DolceeBanana · 18/02/2011 19:32

And, very importantly, what are y'all doing about handbags for spring? Always fancy a new bag for the spring/summer, me...

MarshaBrady · 18/02/2011 19:37

Not sure Dolce, what sort d'you fancy?

I need something that is not heavy, just to hold keys and that is it

I am all pfffted out too.

DolceeBanana · 18/02/2011 19:39

I dunno. I need inspiration. Maybe a colourful bag, but leather....hmmm....

MarshaBrady · 18/02/2011 19:41

I think I'm going to be as much help as a wet paper bag Grin

Sloppily links to brightest thing I can find.

I wonder if I can avoid having a bag, small ones are always naff aren't they??

PlumSykes · 18/02/2011 19:44

I quite fancy this little bag in yellow for Spring, is on my birthday list.

MarshaBrady · 18/02/2011 19:45

Is this MJ one awful?

PlumSykes · 18/02/2011 19:52

This AH pouch is cute.

DolceeBanana · 18/02/2011 19:57

Err...yes Marsha, tis awful in my humble opinion!

Like the Mimi Ada Plum. I always end up with great big bags whatever the season for some reason.

DolceeBanana · 18/02/2011 19:59

Oh, how I wish my birthday was in March or something...not August when there's nothing left in the shops and you don't really want to think about autumn/winter...humph...

DolceeBanana · 18/02/2011 19:59

Am loving anything in yellow or orange at the moment.....

MarshaBrady · 18/02/2011 20:00

oh god it is isn't it

pickledsiblings · 18/02/2011 20:02

Plum, you won't fit your ipad in there Grin.

Dolcee, we have quite simple kitchen cupboards. Next door neighbour used to work for Plain English so they are just like those without such a huge £££. What I love about them is that they go straight to the floor so nice clean lines. We also did that thing where you continue the worksuface down the side of a run of units. Oh, and an integrated sink of course, moulded from the worksurface IYKWIM. All in the name of keeping it simple you understand Grin.

Enjoy the Wine ladies, I'm off to open a bottle. See ya later.

MarshaBrady · 18/02/2011 20:03

I must admit I am trying to be el cheapo on the bag. I might just used my butcher's free canvas one. Light, ironic... er free.

traceybath · 18/02/2011 20:03

Oh like the Anya one but am having a bit of an Anya moment.

Fleecy · 18/02/2011 20:05

Well done vin you amazing lady!

I chuckled at you slipping pellets into the humane traps dolce

DD getting over her chicken pox but DS very tired and has an upset tummy today so I?m fully expecting him to wake up spotty tomorrow. Better that than waiting another couple of weeks!

I have this blue bag and always use it in spring. It's a lovely bright but not in your face sort of blue. I also sometimes carry the East West version of this - well not at the same time, you know what I mean Smile

I think they are more to carciofi's taste as a fellow Mulberry fan, not everyone's cup of tea.

marsha I love your mushroom boots - bet you get loads of wear out of them. Be careful though - my mum once slipped on a piece of brie and cut her head open. Oh how mortified she was every time someone asked her how she did it Grin

Fleecy · 18/02/2011 20:07

Loads of posts while I was writing mine - that's what comes of stopping to change DS's nappy in the middle!

Sorry marsha I don't like the NJ one either but the AH and Ada ones are lovely.
