Bloss you have to at least try some TS jeans, in the spirit of Emmanuelle Alt Smile. You could always buy online and return in store then have a nosey when you are there.

Some lovely breton rugs for those of you that can't get enough stripes.

carciofi · 17/02/2011 09:11

I will pass on the pink Converse and stick to my Ash trainers.

I loved One Day. I am about to start Girl in Translation by Jean Kwok. The reviews are good.

Blossoming, I found the Paige Kenya here on sale and have ordered, delivery is £7, which is a bit steep but cheaper than ordering from the US and easier to return. Also if you are ordering shirts, the code AMZ5 gives you £10 off at Charles Tyrwhitt when you spend over £75.

blossoming · 17/02/2011 10:24

That's a good price for Paige carciofi. Did you see on the left they have a range by Lindsey Lohan? What??
Re white shirts, I don't want a work one, which is why the Joseph one is so appealing. It suggests wearing it with leggings. It's the type I want really.
Ho hum, wait till March.
I loved One Day too. It was really of my era and I could relate to lots of it, unfortunately.
pickled, I will have a look.

blossoming · 17/02/2011 10:31

Okay, I had a look, and they had no grey. So I've ordered the M&S ones to try, and I've gone back to Gap, and sized up. I'll use a belt. They were the perfect colour, rolled up, with my existing breton and my existing ballet flats. Roll on spring.

MarshaBrady · 17/02/2011 10:35

Lovely crisp white shirt Bloss.

Have taken outnet order, but nothing is staying and all bad so won't link. Drop off, pick up in same day (poor dhl guy, I am testing his cheery demeanour!), means eh eh no go.

But I do love this Marant skirt. Not keen on the plaid. But love that maroon colour.

Am wearing new boots and really love them. The mushroom knew this.

carciofi · 17/02/2011 10:37

It is a lovely shirt.

Just got an email to say the Paige trousers are out of stock. Oh well, it is not like I can wear them for ages anyway.

Postman just came and I got a £15 Boden voucher so don't feel left out anymore. Wink

MarshaBrady · 17/02/2011 10:37

Oh fabulous Carciofi. Damn right too.

blossoming · 17/02/2011 10:48

marsha, if it wasn't for us these delivery men would have no work. We are contributing to the uk economy and providing vital employment opportunities in difficult times Wink.
Wise mushroom!
Great news on the voucher carciofi.

carciofi · 17/02/2011 10:50

Now I don't know what I want!

Has anyone ordered from a company from Glassworks Studios? I ordered from them on Monday, they advertised next day delivery but still nothing. I just get a recorded message when I call the customer service number and no reply to my email. Hmmm.

carciofi · 17/02/2011 10:51

From a company called Glasswork Studios!

Phew, just heard back. Was starting to worry they didn't really exist!

Nice scarf, Tracey.

MarshaBrady · 17/02/2011 11:10

Phew Carciofi! I hate that feeling when not being to contact online people.

Anniemac yes would go well with boots. I must give it a week or so before ordering something else.
I shall be wearing them a lot. All my other shoes look really scrappy by comparison.

Bloss true!

Morning ladies - just back from the hospital with DD. Doc has said she is well enough school so she has just gone in wearing her Disney Princess dress Hmm (Not a natural fibre in sight...) for their fairytale party day. She is beyond excited!

Bloss - PM me your address and I will send the Help to you.

Have just had a browse through ASOS and am tempted by a couple of things... What do you all think of:

silk dress

Bargainous wool peg trews

pickledsiblings · 17/02/2011 11:48

NY, so glad that DD is back to her normal self.

About the trews, they look a bit like harems rather than peg legs - no? Of course, if that's the look you're after then go for it - bargainous indeed Smile.

The dress is a bit too fussy for my tastes but I am sure the shape would be lovely on your figure and the colour is great.

Thanks notyummy. I'll pm you straight away.

I think you could carry off both dress and trousers. The sleeves are quite brave I think on the dress, and the trousers, well they're worth a punt at that price especially as you're aiming to try new styles. You know me, boring, boring..!

Zembo · 17/02/2011 12:57

Tracey buying the constance is easier said than done (in the UK). They cost CRAZY money - £4000 upwards depending on leather (that's what Hermes in Bond St told me when I called them recently).......so basically it's probably never going to happen Smile... DH agrees diamonds likely to be comparatively CHEAP (esp on a cost per wear basis) Grin It's good to educate DH on relative costs! He can be very sweet and accomodating, bless him!!

Also, I was looking at the TS flares too - I really want to wear that look, even though I'm short. May try them on sometime. I've actually got some purple flares (fornorina cords) in my wardrobe, and I love them.

Having 2 wardrobes is great as COMPLETELY different looks. My Asian stuff tends to be more evening /occassion wear. I've also got a few 'fusion' pieces Grin.

NY fab news re: DD

Ooooh DHL here, must go!

notyummy · 17/02/2011 12:58

I think there is more than a hint of camel toe in WITs leather leggings today.... [miaow]

i think I am going to order that dress and trousers and may return if they add unwanted bulk on the hips/arse. We shall see...

DarrellRivers · 17/02/2011 12:58

Have finally managed to get on-line for a few hours
And read through some pages, some lovely links

NY I love the dress and quite like the trousers, give them both a try I reckon

I have been having a lovely time with my BBH and have been playing around with all kinds of styles which has fun.
Hair seems so much glossier as a result of using styling more, and I look much more 'finished'
I got a £10 voucher from JB so spent it on some Johnnie B skinny jeans voila
Have been and got some Breton tops from H+M this morning navy/white and a navy/green combination (not sure this is strictly Breton)
H&M also had a jersey maxi in pale blue/white fine horizontal stripes that I shall wear in the summer with a T-shirt over the top with some clogs.
anniemac your hair does indeed make you look younger and fresher, although the long hair looked lovely as well
I have had a fringe cut recently to update my look and it has worked

blossoming · 17/02/2011 13:24

Just got a call from the college (who employ me 1.5 hrs a week currently) to arrange a meeting re teaching A level Spanish by video link from next September. One of the interested schools is the school I didn't get a job in - so even if I'd got the job, I wouldn't have been teaching my strong subject. Phew, lucky escape. I think it would work out at 4.5 hours a week, plus some extras. Really hope it works out. (Spending money..!!)
I am trying to creat a 'mood board' of Spring/summer looks. Anyone know what EA wears when it's hot?!

blossoming · 17/02/2011 13:29

notyummy, there's not much left to the imagination with WIT today, you're right!

DolceeBanana · 17/02/2011 13:39

Bloss...definitely get the Joseph shirt. A clssic and it will last forever (almost).

I am very colourful today (for me)..Jigsaw white blouse, raspberry marl jumper and Hermes silk square in pinks and creams. Oh and of course black skinnies. Oh and Tods loafers...flat, yes flat, Tracey!

Tracey - I don't know why you wouldn't wear Converse or Ash. I think you'd look cool. I am only 5' 4 and wear Ash low tops and high tops alot. I find that with a more classic outfit its nice to dress it down with something like Converse etc. Having said that I'd love a pair of Joseph Azagary heels...

Bloss - I am going to buy those gorgeous Boden roll up trews (with grosgrain trim), some new bretons, and a couple of cashmere cropped cardi's. Liking the Boden limited cashmere in orange funnily enough, and the charcoal colour.

I need some spring shoes...so am going to go RL shopping to try.
