I was even pleased when my hair got wet walking back from work today so I could dry it again

Have just looked at these online.

Does your hair not get caught up in all that whirring action? Looks and sounds fab but can't stop image of self struggling with hair tangling in said contraption and having major tantrum :o

cyb · 10/02/2011 17:09

Nooo nothing of the sort! The brush is big (prob too big for length of my hair but its soo much fun I dont care)but the bristles are very soft and forgiving

I wanna do it again, just been on school run and am looking a bit frizzy

I'm going to have to get one of these aren't I?!

FoundWanting · 10/02/2011 17:29

Wincy I showed them to DH and he asked if I'd like him to buy me one. Grin

He says that it is a 'gadget' and he likes to buy 'gadgets'. If I have a 'gadget', he won't feel bad about buying some more for his shed.

catinboots · 10/02/2011 17:32

Buy one. Life changing.

Three of my bestest friends have commented on my hair in the last month since I've nad one. None of them have ever commented on my hair in the whole time I've known them!

catinboots · 10/02/2011 17:32

*had one

WincyEtNightie · 10/02/2011 17:33

Now you see between your post FW and Ruby's I'm starting to feel distinctly hard done by on the DH front EnvyGrin

nappyaddict · 10/02/2011 17:34

Can you use it from just getting out of the shower or is it more for damp hair?

FreeButtonBee · 10/02/2011 17:36

I have long-ish fine hair and I blast dry it first so that it's just damp rather than soaking. Then section it and go at it with the BBH. Handily, it means I can MN do other stuff at the same time as you only need one hand. Have got quite nifty with it now!

catinboots · 10/02/2011 17:36

damp hair is better - takes too long on soaking wet hair

nappyaddict · 10/02/2011 17:40

Is it this one? I don't think I'd be able to do it. I find blowdrying my hair with a normal hairdryer so difficult I rarely do it.

TooManyButtons · 10/02/2011 17:42

They really are fantastic. I got my 13 yr old dd one for her birthday cos I really wanted one and sometimes steal borrow it. I was worried my long fine hair would tangle but by some miracle it never does. It just goes all bouncy and swishy.

LadySanders · 10/02/2011 17:45

i emailed dh to suggest that he might like to buy me one of these for my birthday after seeing a thread about it on here... a parcel from amazon arrived today... i am quite tempted to sneak it out and try it then repackage as not sure if i can bear the suspense of waiting another 3 weeks til my birthday to try it out Smile

bagpusswasthebest · 10/02/2011 18:51

ladysanders you must open & check...then you have time to drop absolutely massive clanging hints that you NEED A BBH!

tulpe · 10/02/2011 19:12

I see, so am now v tempted as tangling not involved :o

LadySanders · 10/02/2011 19:29

bagpuss - i think my hint was clanging enough, a one line email saying 'my birthday' with a link to the page on amazon selling it... i know men don't always pick up on subtlety but even so i think he'll work it out Smile

cyb · 10/02/2011 19:30

Oh goodness I've just HAD to do mine again as its bug busting night and I was the first one in the bath

In an ideal world, my hair would be a bit longer...not long had it cut but that was before I discovered my new hobby

blondiemermaid · 10/02/2011 19:33

I love mine bought it after the thread on here before Christmas everyone thinks I've just been to the salon (swish). Grin

tulpe · 10/02/2011 19:36

Two more questions: what products do you use on your hair when you use the BBH?

And does it work on fine hair?

LetLoveRule · 10/02/2011 19:42

My hair is v thick, a bit longer than chin length with a few choppy layers. Would it be too short? I really want one!

cyb · 10/02/2011 19:43

I dont use anyhting but I supose you could use frizz serum while your hair is still wet if needs be, or thickening stuff ? And yes to fine hair

OP posts:
Bumperlicious · 10/02/2011 19:51

Is it worth it if you have fine, straight hair?

cyb · 10/02/2011 19:52

I have thick coarse unmanageable hair so cant really say. Someone on a thread wanting a new hairdo said they had fine hair and used it

OP posts:
kerstina · 10/02/2011 20:11

On the whole I am pleased with mine as I have fine wavy hair and it gives it a lot more volume but i am not sure if mine is faulty as it only seems to have one setting that spins the brush- hot. It would be better if you had a cool hair option, the brush gets and smells very hot too.

FluteyBoots · 10/02/2011 20:14

I have long, fine, completely straight hair. I was petrified of tangles, but it doesn't. If you get caught up, you just spin the other way and it whizzes out again.

A question, do you spin continuously or just at the ends?
