Couldn't resist!

Oh no Tracey! I did exactly the same thing just before Christmas. Went through the hoover contents and found nothing. It turned up a few weeks pushed down the edge of the carpet. Good luck!

traceybath · 01/02/2011 13:41

MM - you're allowed to be sad you know.

White Company have got some summer stuff in for little girls and theres always boden.

PlumSykes · 01/02/2011 13:43

Don't tell me, Tracey, your solid gold shoes are pinching too, and your tiara's too tight! Grin

MM, while in The Shops, saw some lovely bits for little girls in Monsoon, plenty of really summery stuff. This top is adorable, but my fave was this jacket, which would be no good for hols, obviously, but would look hella cute on little Miss.

DolceeBanana · 01/02/2011 13:43

hello

rather busy few days so just catching up.

So sorry about your news MM.

Zembo - I am a firm believer that what will be, will be. Something even better for your dh - with his name on it - will turn up soon. Smile

Life's funny sometimes isn't it? Was getting rather exasperated with my Dcs last week as were sooo naughty! Then we have had a weekend where they were, honestly, little angels. We even got to spend a leisurely lunch in Pizza Express, where they all actually ate their respective lunches and were calm (for a change).....woo hoo. No S & B for me. Enjoyed vicariously whilst DDs were cooed over and pampered in various childrens clothes/shoe shops...and DS was very chilled about the whole thing.

Anyway, I digress....Still utterly cold here so in grey skinnies and charcoal cashmere with tomato coloured wristwarmers and cashmere knee highs ....brrrrr...

monkeysmama · 01/02/2011 13:44

I know Tracey I just find people feeling sorry for me hard to take often. I am a strange woman at the best of times Grin!

monkeysmama · 01/02/2011 13:45

I never think to look there and love both of those things Plum. Boden good idea too for dd.

macmama · 01/02/2011 13:47

I think my DD1 (5.5) is quite a bit older than yours MM but she has this and it is lovely, her first 2 piece swimsuit (as in the past I have never found one I think is age appropriate)

DolceeBanana · 01/02/2011 13:48

MM - think of it as people empathising with you... I hate people ever feeling sorry for me. Grates a bit I know...

roary · 01/02/2011 13:56

Marsha DH and I are totally sold on Sri Lanka - he reminded me we have a v good friend who is starting there as a diplomat in July (his wife is a GP so we have emailed them about the dengue fever).

Tracey what an afternoon in your car!! And the missing earring, I am paranoid about mine so hardly ever remove them.

ALso happy belated to NY, I may be seeing your DH on Friday! I am off to Shrivenham to give a lecture but to the ICSC (L) lot, so not to him directly :)

reine hope all went well today.

I have not bought anything but a pair of pj bottoms since November! But I am looking for a nice jersey blazer. I wanted this one but it sold out almost immediately.

I have been eyeing up this as an alternative.

Any thoughts?

traceybath · 01/02/2011 13:57

MM - I am the same - also not terribly good at taking any help.

Oh and here's something else for my 'spoilt woes' - I really want an iphone but I get my phone through DH's business and he's telling me I should get a htc one. So am stamping my feet over that too.

Lordy - I hate myself Wink

roary · 01/02/2011 13:58

Also: jeans. You need to tumble dry jeans with stretch in them every so often or they go out of shape.

I like those High Kais but am I missing something about the web page? Is it all male models??

MarshaBrady · 01/02/2011 14:03

Roary that is fabulous!! Oh am so pleased. Which months are you thinking about? Read something about two monsoon seasons...

Also heard back from the owner with the availability and it looks like people are staying there (eek!). Will email and ask for more info re getting to place and fever etc.

How amazing a GP will be there with diplomat, can't get better than that for advice! Smile.

Tracey I would get an iphone if you can!

roary · 01/02/2011 14:04

Tracey it's the peas under the mattress that are the real hassle, I find Grin! seriously, the missing earring is a big deal, don't feel bad about worrying about it! Although it could be good fun to start a thread about it.

bouncingblueberries · 01/02/2011 14:05

Hi ladies

I just had to stop lurking and finally introduce myself. I'm due back to work in 2 months (maternity leave) so I've been using your thread over the past wee while to help make myself look and feel a bit less frumpy/mumsy/downright awful.

So far, this thread has been the source of these ballerinas with 20% off, these in gold but really fancy the nude as well, and a pair of Gap perfect trousers that are too snug at the waist. But with some serious shredding they WILL fit (refuse to go up a size - it would be the beginning of the end).

So thank you ladies.

I feel I now need a pair of skinnies. But where to start? And will I end up looking like a weeble? (must shred more)

DolceeBanana · 01/02/2011 14:09

Oh Tracey - what a bother about the earring. Hope you find it. Can you claim on the insurance if you don't find?

Bonsoir what exactly is an Intello-romantique when it's at home?

macmama · 01/02/2011 14:13

Welcome bouncingblueberries nice to see you!

OP posts:
traceybath · 01/02/2011 14:16

Yes - will claim on insurance but am hopeful its in my cleaner's hoover bag - in which case I will be soaking it in boiling water and milton.

Oh just took delivery of these with the extra 20% off and I love them. Have them on now with denim mini and they look great.

bouncingblueberries · 01/02/2011 14:16

Thank you macmama Smile

PlumSykes · 01/02/2011 14:17

Oooh, Tracey, I love them. Excellent buy.

redllamayellowllama · 01/02/2011 14:23

I'm glad you asked that, Dolcee!

MM, Noa Noa have got some lovely girls summer bits in - was lured in by their sale and pleasantly surprised.

Welcome, bouncing blueberries, I think Topshop Baxters are still a good place to start for skinnies.

Shame about your earring Tracey. am sure you checked, but did cleaner change the sheets? I found my pearl earring in the lip of the washing machine after doing exactly the same thing; must have got it caught as I whipped off the sheets.

Plum, sounds like a very efficient shopping trip. Can we have some more feedback on the lace top and sizing please? .

Have to go on a silly mission to return a Malene Birger dress to the Outnet. They do make returning a bit difficult, don't they? Can't wait in all day for a DHL man!

redllamayellowllama · 01/02/2011 14:24

Gorgeous boots Tracey.

PlumSykes · 01/02/2011 14:28

llama, I am a curvy 12, and the medium was just right. I tried the L too, as I want it to be slouchy rather than fitted, but was miles too big. Is a lovely, weighty fabric, and I had a nude bra on underneath, which didn't show thru (on the cream, may be diff with the navy)

AllBuggiedOut · 01/02/2011 14:32

Welcome bouncing

Just passing through, but had to put in a request; bloss could your thesis please address whether there is a breton for an autumn? Thanks Grin

Emo76 · 01/02/2011 14:42

MM some lovely purchases and ideas - I saw that Warehouse dress in RL today in the mustard colour, it's an interesting design and could look fantastic in that coral shade. tracey I hope your earring turns up what a total pain in the neck.

I took my baby for yet another shopping trip a lovely walk this morning down the Kings Rd and got this today, it's a wool blend so machine washable (wise in my case) and was a further 15% off the sale price so even wiser. My DH calls that place the "grey cardigan shop" - he is right really but I always seem to find something nice that I will wear for years in the sales there.

Also, excited to see that a Banana Republic is due to open on Duke of York's Square in March, good news as far as I am concerned!

Emo76 · 01/02/2011 14:56

PS for anyone after a navy Janice dress in size 14 or 16 or £35
