Thinking of you Zembo.

Having a bad day so am off for a nap with dd.

pickledsiblings · 01/02/2011 11:00

Nap with DD sounds just perfect mm Smile, sweet dreams.

macmama · 01/02/2011 11:00

Anyone looking for size 8 Marrakesh MiH jeans

macmama · 01/02/2011 11:03

zembo sending your DH lots of positive job vibes. It is really tough dealing with other halves who are under job stress.. I know I have been dealing with it on and off for 2 years or so now (My DH?s work is up and down ? sometimes he has no work for long periods and its super stressful)

Breathe in that beautiful little DD therapy MM with naps and snuggles... IMO DC cuddles are worth more than anything else you could pay for (it we could bottle it then we would all be squillionaires).

I hope things are on a more even keel for you soon.

Love your purchases BTW esp all the sweatshirts.

Thinking about you monkeysmama, and zembo, things will get better soon I'm sure.
Thanks for those links bonsoir. I'm going back a long time here but I remember my first style icon clearly: Jean Seberg in A bout de Souffle. I went straight to the hairdressers and had my hair cropped.
Nice stuff in White Co. Like the coat Roma.

pickledsiblings · 01/02/2011 11:23

Looking forward to the Iro SS stuff Smile. Can't quite envisage rock chic in the Spring - it's more of an AW look don't you think?

MarshaBrady · 01/02/2011 11:30

Couriers have arrived with HH, Moschino, belts and first thought is I love it all (still waiting for NaP).

Then accidentally saw/bought this See by C silk dress.

Oh dear. May have to be ruthless with one or two of them and send back least favourite!

Will link to all later, need time for a big trying session.

macmama · 01/02/2011 11:37

Lovely chloe dress marsha !

MarshaBrady · 01/02/2011 11:46

Thanks macmama!

Will be good for spring. (I hope!)

macmama · 01/02/2011 11:49

I could see it with bare legs and a chunky soled (maybe platform) neutral shoe maybe with a tan bag.

But would be equally good dressed down with flip flops.

Tan required tho I think

pickledsiblings · 01/02/2011 11:49

Marsha, are you going to post a photo of you in the HH? Pleeeease Smile.

PlumSykes · 01/02/2011 12:26

Oooh, sadly no champagne to be had. We both had our 1-yr-olds with us, so was a quick coffee and then a march from shop to shop, stuffing the babies with snacks to keep them quiet. Was successful though. Got 2 lovely vintage-inspired dresses for the little bridesmaids from Monsoon, and a possible one for her sister from Coast. A good trip.

Reiss didn't have the lace top in navy, but tried it in cream and they have ordered it for me in navy to come in on Thurs/Fri.

MarshaBrady · 01/02/2011 12:28

Pickled ooh that is a big thing. If I don't put up pic I will wear it to meet up. (not long to go! hopefully can get away with this Grin)

It is really lovely, so so soft it is ridiculous, lipstick raspberry-ish red. (and thankfully zero sheen).

It is so delicate I am afraid to wear it with my bumptious one year life style.

AND I need industrial strength moth bags

The only thing is I may need an xs as the s is a bit big.

OllieWollieWoo · 01/02/2011 12:30

Reine - hope today has been bearable for you. Not a nice thing to have to go through.
Zembo - sorry about the job - hope something else will come up soon.
Tracey - nightmare scenario. My Dad insisted on showing me how to change a tyre once I past my test. I stood there not paying attention making faces with my sister! Poor Dad! An AA guy once told me that the screws are often far too tight for people to screw off anyway!
MM I loved looking at your lovely links. All very wise!

Great Plains has a Janice alike - may be good for those of you who wanted it with longer arms?
here

Although they don't suit me, some nice tea dresses on there too, like this one here

macmama · 01/02/2011 12:30

I have just broken my no buying rule and nabbed a grey and black Joseph cardigan/jacket on Ebay for work (pic on profile) Blush

OP posts:
OllieWollieWoo · 01/02/2011 12:38

Favour time - I keep clicking on MM's sable Blochs link. Are they the ones that are in TK Maxx - (like Plums?)

If anyone happens to find themselves in there and then happens to see some in a size 40 (grey), please, please, please could you nab me a pair? Both me and my feet would be eternally grateful! Smile

OllieWollieWoo · 01/02/2011 12:40

Calling Vin - what date in March is the wear yellow day? I'm sitting here with my diary filling in dates and want to put it in - its all looking a bit sad and empty at the mo!.

blossoming · 01/02/2011 12:45

Thanks for the Great Plains link ollie. I always forget to look there. That dress comes in a top too, and they have a very interesting Breton in red and grey or blue and white. I may write a thesis on Bretons one of these days!
Sorry, live miles from TKMaxx.

macmama · 01/02/2011 13:15

{grin] at bloss? Breton thesis

I used to get quite lot of great plains stuff for smart casual work days but haven?t been inspired by them for a few years now.

This is pretty for work with a suit.

I do have a Tk Maxx near me OWW but unlikely to get a chance to get in there anytime soon sorry

Any opinions on my Joseph buy? I am worrying I was a little hasty it cost £65 Blush

OP posts:
macmama · 01/02/2011 13:16

Like the GP breton BTW *bloss8

OP posts:
PlumSykes · 01/02/2011 13:20

OWW, I had a look in Tk's today. Only Blochs in a 7 were like these, but with a vivid purple in place of the pink. Too bright for your style, I think?

traceybath · 01/02/2011 13:34

Oh dear and today's trial is that I stupidly put my diamond ear-rings on top of my book on the floor last night and forgot to put them in this morning.

Can now only find one stud and cleaner has been - she's going to check the contents of her hoover bag when she gets home. aaaggghhh.

Can you imagine the sympathy I'd get if I started a thread in chat on this Wink

monkeysmama · 01/02/2011 13:36

Glad you were all gentle on me with my avid (& probably mostly unwise) shopping. Thank you Smile.

We are just about to book a week in the West Indies (not CB Choo!) leaving next week and I am suddenly feeling over whelmed by what to take. It's a small luxury resort - days will be beach, private pool and dinner in restaurant. Dd will be with us (so if you've seen any fab girls' summer stuff please let me know!)

I need some new sandals (7) and a new swimming costume at least. I think maybe maxi dresses would be the most suitable thing atm? My tummy isn't looking great and I feel a lot bigger and more insecure / sensitive about myself than normal.

Anyone seen anything lovely? I don't want to have to try anything on so have to be able to order on line.

Think I imght get a pedicure this weekend and maybe my hair cut too to try and get in the mood.

Sorry my posts are a bit sad. I am trying not to be.

Bonsoir · 01/02/2011 13:37

tracey - Sad - and also Grin - that's a very S&B W&A sort of problem. Do let us know whether your cleaner finds your ear ring.
