New thread

OP posts:
ApuskiDusky · 06/01/2011 22:21

Right, I've had enough of poring over my CV trying to anticipate questions - and I haven't even worked out what I'm going to wear! Thank you all for your good luck wishes, I might need it!

And good luck to you vin, knock em dead!

Will return tomorrow and actually read the thread properly rather than just spotting my name, need to go to bed now!

VerityBrulee · 06/01/2011 22:22

Good plan Bloss.

Am hoping to get an iphone myself tomorrow, they're sold out, but charming young man with whom I flirted shamelessly said he would put one aside for me. Bought myself a lovely red cover for it in anticipation! Getting it specifically to keep up with the thread Smile

Right, off to see if Don Draper really does have an affair with Sally's teacher. Night all!

VerityBrulee · 06/01/2011 22:26

ABO I like the sound of a necklace fund!

Fingers crossed Apuski Smile

notyummy · 06/01/2011 22:28

Watching new series of Greys Anatomy. Too much emoting with soft indie tunes in the background. And frankly, if I had to work with Meredith fecking Grey I would have bitch slapped her a few series ago. Bah.

Dh was always the one who watched this, and now I remember why.....

(Apologies to any Greys Anatomy's fans I have offended!)

CHOOGIRL · 06/01/2011 22:34

Stamp. Not caught up on thread yet.

Good luck April and Vin.

NY I've not had a PM. Will definitely need food to accompany the drink.

Cake Hells I'm 2 weeks late and not pg, and not slim. Confused Do you think we may be synchronising on this thread?

This budgeting business definitely makes you think doesn't it? Now I have my name down for LV can't buy a thing without thinking I'm letting down my W&A friends.

Does anyone know anything about smartlipo? Does it hurt? Does it work?

mrsjuan · 06/01/2011 22:36

Grin cake. Great minds and all that! Am on dh's iPhone now but if it's still there in the morning I'll take it as a sign.

Good luck Apuski and vin. Hope you impress them with both your style and substance!

LetThemEatCake · 06/01/2011 22:42

what in the sam hill is Smartlipo???!!

I have got one more article to write tonight (have doen 2 so far) . If I can get it done by 11.30, my reward will be that dress. And I will have to send one of my 3 new things back to bring my budget back down to acceptable level. I fear it will be the Outnet Alice and Olivia top... can't imagine it will be Plummy's sequins or OWW's stripes ..

Right, the clock is ticking!! will check in at 11.30, with or without a frock!!!

hf128219 · 06/01/2011 22:43

Yes good luck!

Choo You could always an additional holiday fund too!

I walked along Bruton St today and thought of Bloss at DVF. No window display at present to look at.

So many neon brights in Miu Miu.

Got some bargain (75% off) undies in Liberty and a plain black jacket in Banana Republic.

Now that you've mentioned the monthly budget Choo I've just realised I hadn't even thought of counting the above items Confused

Must keep track. Let's see. £85 so far this month.

loobylu3 · 06/01/2011 22:46

carciofi- love that scarf- more pink!

bloss- v nice Pure jacket!

Thank you for coat comments- can see what you mean re too many details. Like the puff sleeves myself-slightly less sure about the belt. Might order and see it in the flesh so to speak!

hf128219 · 06/01/2011 22:48

Meant to say like the dress LTEC

Good jacket Bloss.

Fab crumpet scarves too.

Must get to bed. Up at 05.00.

CHOOGIRL · 06/01/2011 22:57

Smartlipo = liposuction in your lunch hour. Can be done under local takes less than an hour.

pickledsiblings · 06/01/2011 22:58

Good luck for tomorrow Apuski and vin.

LTEC I love the colour of that dress and the fabric but the back shawly bit, the whole neckline actually, reminds me too much of an old ball gown that a friend made for me. It was in a fab toblerone green triangle colour and was full length. So, for me, the balance of the dress is wrong - it should be longer... but then it would be... a ball gown Grin.

I'll check in at 11.30 as am watching a movie on iplayer.

choo is that the one where they laser the fat to make yoru body break it down over a couple of weeks and it's all absorbed gradually? If so, DH promised me we could look into it after having a family. I struggled to lose any weight after DD but somehow it all came off fairly easily after DS and so we never looked into it properly.

DH coming round to the idea of no. 3 though so would be interested to hear your thoughts as may need it yet Grin

So sorry to hear about the house Everything. Really hope that the next place you see is suitable - and that the GP is able to help tomorrow. I would imagine the amount of stress that you are under at the moment is effecting your body in all sorts of ways. Try and be kind to yourself.

notyummy · 06/01/2011 23:03

Grin at Everything. Yes Choo - laser some stuff off your feet so you need new footwear and I'll have the shoes. I'm not proud Wink

reallygrumpy · 06/01/2011 23:03

choo sounds great if it works.

ltec good luck with the writing, dress is lovely.

Great jacket bloss I've got a v similar grey whistles peacoat I bought a few years ago and wear it alot. Love the skinny flares, may need to add to my wish list.

verity fingers crossed you get your iPhone, I love mine and use it to catch up on this thread

Fleecy · 06/01/2011 23:03

Oh no everything that's a shame - but you're right, it'll be because there's something better for you and you'll look back and think "Phew!" down the line!

When are you planning to tell your parents? Surely it's not for them to approve or not - nobody ever really knows what goes on in anyone else's relationship and they should be supporting your choices and wanting you to be happy?

Sorry about the house everything, fingers crossed you find something soon. I hope telling your parents isn't too awful, they may suprise you.

LetThemEatCake · 06/01/2011 23:09

amazing what you can do with a pink silk incentive. My work is done. Grin Now going to go back and check no one has said "don't!"

Oh everything I am sorry that things continue to be so tough. Hope you find a house you can be happy in soon and that your voice comes back. Understand how hard it would be to tell your parents. Best of luck and good thoughts

Choo it sounds amazing but I am, on the whole, opposed to the idea of surgery unless for med reasons. You have a lovely figure, look gorgeous in everything you wear and do not need drastic measures. The social aspect of your job is killer, I can imagine, but maybe you just need to make some tweaks to menu choices and limit wine? Easy to say, I know

CHOOGIRL · 06/01/2011 23:45

Yes Fleecy that's the one. Grin at Everything and NY.

Am normally with you cake on the surgery thing..but friend is thinking of having it and it suddenly sounded v appealing to get rid of the stubborn thighs in less than 45 mins. Agree that I need to try and eat earlier. Long hours and City winebars do not a size 10 figure make. Think I also need to get back to the gym for some hard core cardio rather than just yoga. Although I hate January in the gym it is always full of the well intentioned who will have disappeared by March.

Cake dress looks amazing. May pop into Reiss tomorrow to try and see it in rl.

Also I think you should have a little cheese to get rid of the craving.
