OP posts:
LetThemEatCake · 06/01/2011 21:35

PS I am craving cheese. Just to let you know.

VerityBrulee · 06/01/2011 21:41

Oh you should at least try on the dress, Cake, just to rule it out. Can't wait for meet-up! Dh a bit miffed as it's a rugby international wkend, but he owes me many, many favours and has been remarkably gracious about it!

blossoming · 06/01/2011 21:44

carciofi, that is a gorgeous scarf.
looby, thanks for commenting. Sorry to hijack you as the thread's resident GP though! Anything to do with French or Spanish verbs I could help you with? Just let me know!
I'm with cake re the coat. And I don't like puffed sleeves. Sorry!
In a year, I have become much braver in commenting on links. In the past I would just ignore if I didn't like something. Now, maybe I've gone too far the other way!

FritziGreenEyes · 06/01/2011 21:45

blossoming Love your styling suggestions for jeans! I usually wear my wide-legged ones with fitted leather jacket, but the Pure jacket would be a great alternative and more elegant.

LTEC Fabulous dress! Buy and wear to meet up please Smile.

looby Sorry not sure about that coat. For me the belt + military + puffed sleeves is a bit too much.

FritziGreenEyes · 06/01/2011 21:46

cross post cake Grin

blossoming · 06/01/2011 21:47

verity, I got my tickets today for Wales v England for our 10th anniversary (getting together) weekend away! DH said, let's sell the tickets (he expects a stuffing like we had 10 years ago) and get hammered instead - so unlike him, and he didn't mean a word of it!

LetThemEatCake · 06/01/2011 21:48

bloss do I take your silence on the reiss dress to mean that I should avoid that pink?

blossoming · 06/01/2011 21:49

fritzi, I want to buy that jacket so much it hurts. I am already up to £150 spend this month and it's only the 6th, oops. I want to wear it with indigo jeans, a Breton top and this scarf.

blossoming · 06/01/2011 21:50

Not at all ltec, it's a lovely colour and it would look amazing on you. I think it's very expensive though for high street. Not much less than a vwa?

KILDARE4 · 06/01/2011 21:51

Bloss - love that jacket

LTEC - AM also craving cheeseConfused great dress - wish I had the lifestyle!

Best of luck to all interviewees tomorrow! For my sins I have 2 of DH's nephews and 1 niece staying tonight, it seemed like a good idea at the time ( and there was no alcohol involved in the issuing of the invitation!) Best get back to my babysitting duties ! It's really strange having small children in the house again - youngest DD now 8!

FritziGreenEyes · 06/01/2011 21:52

blossoming I want it too! To wear with my imaginary LV scarf! Would you get the grey or navy? As I have a grey coat already I might go for navy. Better sleep on it and think about it again tomorrow. And again: WIT is doing Breton and wide leg jeans today

mrsjuan · 06/01/2011 21:55

Looby - I like the colour and the sleeves on the coat but not sure about the tie waist.

Some good bargains on that site though - I like this

Have been trying to get onto the Kurt Geiger website this evening as they've got some massive reductions but it's crashed. Not surprised.

Like the reiss dress cakey

LetThemEatCake · 06/01/2011 21:56

have I missed a jacket link bloss??

by the way, those of you with dds - Laura Ashley is launching girlswear this year - really lovely stuff.

blossoming · 06/01/2011 21:56

fritzi, I'm going to sleep on it too. I'd get the grey. Has WIT lost weight?

Meggles76 · 06/01/2011 21:56

Vin - I am only 5ft so flares must only be worn with uber high shoes!
Good luck for tomorrow Smile

LetThemEatCake · 06/01/2011 21:57

MrsJ I nearly linked to that HH dress to say "someone please buy this!!"

you should get it, would look great on you

VerityBrulee · 06/01/2011 21:57

Bloss that navy jacket is a classic, no? Good investment for spring and autumn, perfect with the outfit described. I got a Sonia Rykiel pea coat in the winter sales a few years ago, went way over budget (we ate a lot of beans and toast that month, dh couldn't work out why) but cost per wear is about 5 cents.

I am in an enabling mood tonight Smile

blossoming · 06/01/2011 22:00

cake, this one.
I didn't realise LA had stopped doing children's clothes?

VerityBrulee · 06/01/2011 22:01

The grey equally so!

blossoming · 06/01/2011 22:02

verity, £200+ for the jacket and the scarf. I am switching this lovely, shiny new computer off before I blow the annual budget! And I'm only browsing so I don't drink any wine!
Back tomorrow!

LetThemEatCake · 06/01/2011 22:04

oooh yes yes bloss Navy or grey? you suit both!

they stopped a while back, not sure why .. think you;d like some of their new stuff although of course you could make it yourself

take your point re VWA vs Reiss but honestly, VWA does not suit me. It doesn't suit my personality, I know it sounds daft, but it just doesn't 'sit' right on me, it's not my body/ figure whatever, just me.

WIT's got a borderline camel toe going on there Grin

VerityBrulee · 06/01/2011 22:08

You're right Bloss, do think it's a good buy though.

My top budget tip : I save my 1 and 2 euro coins, empty my purse every night, average 50-60 E a month, it's free money for my treats only Smile

OllieWollieWoo · 06/01/2011 22:10

I love the coat too. Isn't there a Pure code around somewhere - that maybe works on sale stuff too?

blossoming · 06/01/2011 22:15

Am on iPhone now: ltec, then you should buy the dress. Post photos won't you?

verity, I will list items to eBay tomorrow. I have some good quality Boden, Phase 8 and Paige denim. See if I can offset some of the cost at least! I fear resistance is futile!

AllBuggiedOut · 06/01/2011 22:19

I save all my £2 coins too verity - they were my 2010 necklace fund Grin

Love the Reiss dress cake.
