Love the Reiss dress cake. IME Reiss sizing comes up big.

THe only VWA have ever tried (the purple Donna) has been sent back I thought I would love it but I didn't although I know lots of you have had great success with it. I just like thicker fabric.

Nobody admired my new Karen Walker dress which will get its first outing tomorrow I think with black tights and bertie grey leopard wedges.

vin a dress with a black jacket is fine for interview separates are very popular and very smart although med may be different to law. Personally I never buy a matching black suit and depsite this I have had many compliments on my clashing black outfits!

I have big asos order (a real hotch potch) arriving tomorrow hopefully I won't want everything!! My shopping a bit out of control.

meggles welcome - I think hasbeens and flares sound perfect, I love hasbeens but have fabulous purple patent wedges with cork platform soles (forget the label for a moment) which will be my perfect summer flare complement.

cheese this late might give me bad dreams and I have had lots of those last few nights already. Sad

Bought dress, was last in my size, lucky! Let me know what you think of it in RL Choo.

have had msg in meantime from lovely dh who went to Westfield tonight before meeting with friends for drinks - not sure why I got it this late, phone is playing up - I quote (and this from the man who breaks into cold sweat at first sign of a retail mecca) "This is so cool ... no one here and buying lots of stuff for us without having to take the kids to the loo every 5 mins .. you're going to love it tomorrow night when you have to come and bringall of your stuff back... I'll do bath and bed"

Good man. Wink

Right off for a scrabble rematch. Good night all.

What a good man you have cake.

After all my new years PMA flurry (including reading at least one self-help book) my long distance relationship highlight of the week was when DH sent me a text message saying "Don't you go changing on me, I like you exactly the way you are".

Choo before you go for drastic thigh action try giving up dairy products - my thighs have never been thinner even though I have been lighter!

and when I say give up dairy I mean totally (eg, no cakes, chocolate, biscuits, creamy sauces etc unless dairy free).

Soya products just don't seem to have the same thigh sticky qualities!

ALso my worry about lipo is that (or at least I have heard - hardly an expert!) once lipo removes the fat cells the fat can't go and hang out in that place again so it finds new and interesting places to sit next time it comes to visit (cankles or fat knees anyone?). Which could be worse than the original - I mean curvaceous thighs might not make shopping for skinny jeans easy but they still look natural and womanly.

Morning all,

Choo - sounds fantastic - mac has scared me by thought of the fat hanging out elsewhere though Grin

Cake - what a great DH. Hope he got you some good things.

Everything - so sorry you're having such a rough time. What you're planning on telling your parents sound entirely reasonable. I'm sure (naively perhaps Sad) that they will just be concerned for your happiness.

Ok - HH is still there in an 8, 10 and 12. How does the sizing come up? I'm worried that the curse of the wide ribcage will strike again.

Also re sizing - oww, tracey & cake (?) the inwear stripey top - how does that measure up?

I'm happy that flares are making a come back and like the sounds of hasbeens (or similar) with them.

Good luck again to the interviewees

Everything ? so sorry that you didn?t get it. I think you are wise to say ?something else round the corner? as that is usually the way. And as we saw with Tracey when she thought her house was not to be?it was (with 20% off!) ? I do hope something as fortuitous happens for you.

The letter for your parents sounds wise?.it?ll allow you to control how you break the news

Carciofi ? fab scarf.

LTEC ? I wish the weight theory were true Christmas has been cruel to me Grin- however I do hope that it?s the change in diet that has my hormones all of a tizz!

How exciting about DH?s haul! Can?t wait to hear what he has in store for you.

Choo- yup we must be synchronizing Wink ? but ?what Cake said? about the lipo?.no need.

MrsJ ? great dress

A&W purchase?well I was a bit bored last night. I discovered my recordings of Downton Abbey were all mixed up so I couldn?t watch it. So I?ve decided to test flares?I?ve ordered 2 pairs to see which is best (MIH and CoH)?will report back.

Aghhh - am terrible mother - DD has been jabbering while I've been looking at shoes and I've just realised that she's been trying to tell me that it's snowing! Which it is. Quite a lot!

oh dear - dhdidn't do very well Grin

never mind - I will enjoy my time out at Westfield tonight (open until 10!!!!) returning it all. Of coirse, this also means that I will have his card with me Grin Grin

MrsJ I have 2 HH dresses, one a US 2 and one a US 4. I'd order 2 sizes to be sure and send one back - can't take chances with strapless imo.

god!! sorry - rule should be - no posting until after 2nd coffee

I have totally failed to say anything useful re HH dress. Blush MrsJ - I have 2, one US 2 and one a US 4. The US 4 is a bit big on me, esp around the 'ribcage' Wink but the 2 is perfect. I think therefore that their sizing comes up a little big. HTH.

off for 2nd coffee.

mrsjuan - those shoes are amazingly good value. Not so sure about the boots but love the shoes!
I missed the link to the HH dress.... Didnt order the stripey top - its no longer on the Gemini website from what I can see - but still available in M on Inwear site but is that too big for you?

Everything - v sorry about the house too. Unfurnished one sounds promising and a lot less hassle in terms of protecting someone elses furniture from DS perhaps? A letter to your parents may be a good idea. My Mum is always jumping in with all sorts of opinions and I never get to finish what I wanted to say and just end up being all defensive and stressed. (My Mums nickname is Hyacinth Bucket btw!)

I love it when this thread is busy after I have gone to bed - lovely to catch up with my morning cup of tea!

Oh yes, meant to say H&M has a cheap and cheerful summer twill version of the Bloss's Pure jacket - does look quite short thohere

I like the gold shoes Mrs J - they are all bargains aren't they?? Far too small for me alas....

Hope you have a great time at Westfield tonight LTEC.

OWW - I have just depressed myself looking at the nice summery clothes on your link. It is currently snowing outside and I can't see myself in anything summery for such a lonnggg time.

Meet-up update: It looks like we may have a winning hotel from our vote, as nearly all the votes are in....however Choo is doing some quick investigations on an option for us today that was previously ruled out on price. Will wait and see how she gets on before PMing you all with the results of the Meet-up Accommodation Final Vote. (The phone lines have closed....the public vote is in...the winner is )

LTEC, enjoy your trip to Westfield tonight!

Blossoming, sounds like you have to get the jacket. It is a classic, after all.Smile

Good tip, Verity, I am going to start doing that with my change. I want an iPhone, I hate my Blackberry. I don't know why I got it, it reminds me of work.

Nice shoes, MrsJuan.

Should I get the Kurt Geiger Sadler or save for Belstaffs? I'm leaning towards saving, for once!

Oh Tracey how exciting! I am so envious of you finding a house....fingers crossed! Told dh last night who immediately started looking at Cornwall houses again!

Vin - good luck...you will look wonderful!

Am still umming and ahhing about meet up. Sorry. Problem is, dh is away rather a lot at the moment and feels wrong to have a weekend away at this time, as he really looks forward to our weekends . But I do really want to meet you all. Decisions, decisions.....don't count me in at the moment...but I might be able to pop up for the afternoon or something.

I am having a RL shopping trip though with a close friend next week as mum will baby sit baby! Yay!

Right, baby needs some shoes as we are meeting up with ex HV ancient great Aunt in Broadway, and she will be rather Hmm
at shoeless infant who is actually walking.

Lovely days ladies....

Carciofi - I got the Sadlers and was surprised to find that they were saddle leather only on the feet - the leg bits are soft and floppy and suede-ish , so not quite the fierce look I wanted. Though the legs are fleece-lined, the feet aren't, which makes them not as warm as I hoped. And ...the black ones look grey/brown.
