or an inexpensive fitted T shirt (Gap, M&S, Bugger Off) that you can fling once you get 'pay paint' on it

I've just traded in my leather handbag for the long strap, multi-pocket jobbie, and I'm proud of it. I've waited years to be a mum and have an excuse to look scruffy and no-one's going to take that right away from me. Wear your mums' uniforms with pride!

no, tummy's not that bad. i'm not overweight, just out of shape.

boots are flat. more like hiking or walking boots.

just bought myself a second-hand max mara jacket. i'm thrilled.

sansouci · 29/09/2005 14:21

i adore max mara but can in no way, shape or form afford to wear new designer clothing. hate lables anyway. so there!

Lonelymum · 29/09/2005 14:25

Can a woman with not very big tits wear a wrap top? I always see T and S recommend them for big busted women. What about me with my little tits? (But thin body).

teeavee · 29/09/2005 14:25

IME, you'll need a safety pin

Lonelymum · 29/09/2005 14:27

Me in a polo neck? I am trying to be sexy!

sansouci · 29/09/2005 14:27

big breasted women cannot wear wrap tops without several safety pins. this is not an attractive look, btw.

burn that fleece!

TinyGang · 29/09/2005 14:28

This thing about the school gates and what everyone thinks of you is a bit of a mystery to me. I don't see anyone there really who doesn't sport the 'harrassed mum' look. We all look more or less like each other. No, it's not too great -Trinny and Sus are right - but some days I feel lucky to have got to those gates at all without my dressing gown on (and some clothes of course!)
