Really? fab! Have pm'd. If you fancy it send me one back saying if a good one or not....

mrsjuan · 09/12/2010 14:18

pickled - no, seriously - it is massive!

At 22 I was mostly in jeans and hoodies by day and black trousers and a 'nice top' by night. A few cocktail dresses thrown in for formals at university. I used to spend quite a lot (for a student) on trainers - dkny etc. but all very boring and predictable (as now!)

I was at my most adventurous in my mid teens - coloured jeans and cropped jumpers etc. I remember a particularly fetching combo of tie died, cropped, batwing orange top and long white satin skirt Blush

Intrigued by your job pickled. I am starting to panic about schools already. I think we are either going to have to move or go private if our local school doesn't pick up in the next year.

I loved my early 20s too. Every door was opened for you ifykwim.... you know, I felt as if I was ushered across and round the world by fun, adventurous people...

Yangy do you still have all the clothes?

pickledsiblings · 09/12/2010 14:37

Marsha, you're not approaching the big four '0' by any chance Grin?

hell no. But you know what happened on the weekend I got very tipsy with a great friend. We've dined with random Italian men in Italy, drank dry martini in the snow in NY... sparkling parties... all that stuff. A great friendship full of fun. We were both delighted to be there!

After 2 years of pg and hellish sleep/ bfding duty. I felt like me! Grin

MarshaBrady · 09/12/2010 14:44

sory v slow am bf'ding. I got rid of loads too... although given how much stuff there is not too sad about that. Kept a couple of tiny things.

Hello again. Bloss, glad you had a beautiful day to remember your DD.

I met my dh when I was 22. Favourite shops were Jigsaw (which had just opened in Dublin), Kookai and French Connection and I wore a lot of short skirts (which upset my father no end!).

Midwife just been - babies have gained weight really well and are "thriving" so I can let them sleep as long as they want in the night and we have been discharged from MW care - YAY!

And how is this for fate? Mint Velvet are having a sale so bought both this Moody Floral Shift Dress and this Silver Moody Floral Dress. Both in pre-preg sizes (oooh the audacity - bold move Bunny!!) and will return the least flattering one. Unless I decide not to.

Ha ha - so many of us wore similar things when we were 22! Although Yangy you sound to have been seriously cool and v v aware of the power of fashion - so impressed! And Marsha you sound to have had a delightful time - like a Bright Young Thing in the roaring 20's with all those parties and encounters with exotic men in far flung places. Think all such 22 year olds should have some filthy lucre to allow them such adventures - working as a waitress did not get me very far. Just to the textbook shop. Hmmm. Not glam.

bunnymother · 09/12/2010 15:42

Oh and re me looking after 3 children, I'm not. Our nanny looks after DD1 - takes her out, lifts her up and generally allows me to spend some time w her and look after the twins, but in a v low key way. So don't be too impressed!!

Yangy - I hear you - my law firm friends don't have DCs, so when I didn't we used to work stupid hours then go out drinking etc. Not possible w DCs, so you can v easily lose that social aspect when you are racing home.

Re aged 22. Wearing morrisey edmiston, brave/ Wayne cooper and third millennium. Aspired to nothing else. Was rock Wink. H Christensen was dating michael h and hey, that's what they wore. Was law student/ strand arcade shop dolly by day, swanky bar chick by night. Lived in house in paddington, had dj boyfriend, bondi all weekend. Was grand. For then. Seems dead vacuous now. Yawn.

Speaking of yawn, but in tired sense not dull, another work party with dh tonight. Tough one to dress for. Eeek
