I don't have the mag LTEC - I too am in the mood for a purchase.

eshermummy · 03/12/2010 21:51

Tethers, I want some shearling (faux or otherwise) boots to wear in this freezing weather. Can't do traditional UGGs but want something that warm.
I already have snowboots (Romika) from last year so am not thinking they would be for deep snow, just for the current freezing temps once snow has gone. Must be hardwearing which I think rules out suede.
I have many boots, I feel guilty about how many I have. I did think I could maybe adapt a pair of boots I already own by adding sheepskin insoles but I can't fit my foot in after I put them in! But my guilt won't allow me to spend too much - no more than £150 ideally
I was even toying with the idea of buying a pair of non-lined boots a size bigger and putting the insoles in them but really I would like shearling up to my knees.....mmmmmm
I linked to a couple of possibles a few posts up but most people thought they weren't nice Sad

LetThemEatCake · 03/12/2010 21:51

vino are you coming to meet up???

To add my piece to the WIT debate, I intensely dislike the sleeve length on her designer black top that she wears quite often, and I don't like the rolled up jeans look (on me).

eshermummy · 03/12/2010 21:55

Not received ASOS mag Envy

God, I so want to buy something but I really can't have everything I want so I am having to prioritise.
Is hell. Grin

NY - ocado delivered this morning - been cooking up a storm all day!

notyummy · 03/12/2010 21:58

Am on iPhone at the mo, but willhave a look at the ASOS mag later when at computer.

eshermummy · 03/12/2010 22:07

I haven't got the ASOS mag but I do have this week's Grazia (thanks Ocado-man) and I really rather like the drawstring evening bags on first page of HOT 100 feature.
The mango one in particular. Can't find a link though.

Hello all
BRrrrrr.....

Very jealous of the meetup. Maybe I will be able to make January, but a mid-week one would still be easier for me for the next while.

My Stripey Janice arrived today and it is going straight back. It just makes me look like I have no waist and a huge tummy. My tummy (despite the food poisoning) is not what it was pre children and it's where I put on weight (and only there). I am sure I am being a bit paranoid about its size but am slightly dreading wearing a bathing suit....
.....because we are off to Australia next Friday, yikes! We have a crazy itinerary planned by DH and are off to visit Sydney as well as family in Perth.

Happily so glad you were reunited. Carciofi glad scan was good.

Bloss you are a crafting genius. Can you pretty please make crayon rolls? :)

Cakey is your mother on an extended visit? I am having a lovely time with mine but about a week in our house is right - longer would be lovely but she would need to stay somewhere else.

LetThemEatCake · 03/12/2010 22:11

I really really can't buy anything for a while. I spent a large sum earlier this week on, er, something and that's eaten up any clothes buying for a while, really. Even resisted an £18 silver sequin blazer in local vintage store today Sad and a £15 leopard print dress

speaking of bags, who was asking about the star bag of the title?? It's a Jigsaw bag that verity bought here

roary 7 months. Count 'em!!!

OP posts:
roary · 03/12/2010 22:13

LTEC, OMG.

I love mine but someone might commit a crime after one month, let alone 7!

carciofi · 03/12/2010 22:22

Vino, thanks and no rush at all.

Bloss, I don't have the Janice dress so you're safe! I will be in my beloved Current/Elliots.

Night all.

DolceeBanana · 03/12/2010 22:23

Hello everyone....

Strewth...am knackered....sorry. Have had manic day out and about with the girls (DDs) and then Ballet, then The Christmas Fayre...where I spent about £50 on some very nice things mostly, plus some junk, sweets, hot dogs and Father Christmas meets and took three exhausted and overawed children home...(their little faces when they met 'Him')....

Freezing cold and trying to snow again and dh snoring on sofa due to Christmas lunch party!!!

Cake - not wrong at all to leave dc putting to bed to dh for once...Nice for him to have a hand too anyway.

Tracey - glad you had a nice night out with 'Mums'...

Hells...had an official communication home about nits from school and interstingly it is apparently unnecessary to do extra washing etc as nits don't survive away from humans (but I know the urge to kill the bug is intense!!!!)...I always wash DCs duvets and linens weekly, and our linen weekly, at 60 degrees but just because of dust mites etc......eeeurggghhhhhhhh...We use Vosene kids shampoo weekly on DCs (not baby though)

DolceeBanana · 03/12/2010 22:31

and Cake, yeah, agree about the simpering style of La WIT...you can tell she hasn;t got kids is all I will say....

Oh and Tracey...was just moaning to dh today about sandpaper rough skin on hands and flafy itchy skin on legs...normally never a problem. But just received some lovely bulk Clarins products from ILs for combined birthday(yeah, I know)/christmas present so slathering on nonchalantly....

DolceeBanana · 03/12/2010 22:35

Oh and want relatively in-exxy faux fur coat to wear atop of evening gown for (don't laugh) bus trip (yikes) to black tie venue in few weekends time....wearing backless long dress, so maybe jacket length coat...not leopard, more understated. Anyone seen anything, or can recommend anything else...cloakish but warm...elegant etc etc etc...

eshermummy · 03/12/2010 22:36

Tethers are they the topshop "Downy" boots? they look quite promising with insoles - thankyou Smile

LetThemEatCake · 03/12/2010 22:37

hi Dolce!!

oh dear cake is a disaster (me and the confection)

dh still not home so put dc to bed myself when film was done, not a peep from them TG.

Dog looked more like teddy bear so I took to him with knife and now he looks like, er, .....? Oh sh*t.

OP posts:
DolceeBanana · 03/12/2010 22:37

Oh, is there going to be a January meet up? Would love to make that if there is...cannot do 12th as have night out the night before and we are staying over...Sad

DolceeBanana · 03/12/2010 22:41

Cake...a) am sure the cake is not a disaster; so what if it isn't like it is supposed to be in your perfectionist head...make it a monster or something!

Shale dh not back to help out but sounds like they went off happily.

Have a glass of wine. Now. And relax.

And, not just saying this to cheer you up kiddo when you are peed off, but you are way better than WIT, as Hells and all of us think. Smile
