Tethers - I shall take full credit if it's perfect in RL...if not then it's all Tracey's fault Grin

Re WIT - I like her simple every day style. I think she is a pretty girl with beautiful skintone. However her party outfits are totally yuck and sometimes she gets it totally wrong. Not as talented as our very own frockaholic.

Fritzi I am glad it helped Smile

yay tethers!

hells and zembo I am Shock. You are very sweet.

am I going to live to regret this? I just feel too awful and couldn't face bedtime tonight (3 ringed circus of my making, tbh) so I have got dd and ds1 in Pjs on the sofa under duvets watching Ice Age as a 'big treat' while I get on with the cake. Dh will be home, um, eventually, and he can deal with them.

On a plus note, I have had like, zero appetite all day. So should hopefully wake up skinny Grin

bloss - had a sugar obsversation for you. So in one of IM's artuicles I read that what you eat at say 11am directly impacts on what you crave later in the day, such is the addictive nature of sugar. So the other day, feeling awful, I had sugar (2!!) in my tea in the morning. Comfort. And thus began a day of chocolate cravings, milky coffee cravings, carb cravings etc. Crazy!!!!

Hark did you know your Brora tights are £39 atm?

Zembo · 03/12/2010 20:39

Bloss have PM'd you an order. If you did teddy bear anything I'd be buying shed loads from you right now Smile

ABO meant to say I bought the kids hunters as the adult ones are too long for me.

Off to cut out paw prints to put up our drive leading up to the party Grin

tethersjinglebellend · 03/12/2010 20:47

Ok, am new to the thread and playing catch-up. Who or what is WIT?

blossoming · 03/12/2010 20:52

Interesting ltec. My favourite mms (mid morning snack) is oatcake and farmhouse cheddar. So satisfying. I haven't taken sugar in tea or coffee for 30 years. Gosh I'm old! When's your birthday!
I know you've got a lot on, hope you get to enjoy it.

zembo, the party planning sounds amazing! Thanks for your order.

verity, you watching the match??!

hellsbelles · 03/12/2010 20:53

Tethers WIT

eshermummy · 03/12/2010 20:55

hello Hark like the new name Smile

Tethers am so glad you got the VWA. I have never owned a VWA and am mightily tempted by this one Not that I have anywhere to wear it

LTEC v annoying re post - can you not go to sorting office/post office with ID and collect in person?
Come to think of it, don't think we have had much post this week either.....

Bloss I don't really know much about Etsy I'm afraid, you know there is a whole crafts section on here though don't you? You should go and chat to them about where to sell.

Brora tights lovely but I am too klutzy with the zips/buckles on boots - they would be pulled/laddered in hours if not minutes. Bought some lovely wool rib Levante tights - all pulled and fuzzied now where my knees got caught up with the velcro on dd2's snowboots Sad

Ok, so noone really liked the Ugg biker shearlings. I admit I don't absolutely LOVE them but they look sooooo warm and the shoe part looks good and hardy and waterproof.
Has anyone seen/tried these KG Whitbys in rl? I can't quite get a handle on whether they are shearling lined or faux fur lined and shearling trimmed or simply shearling trimmed around the top edge? I don't really mind if the fur is fake, just want it to be the whole of the inside of the boot that is lined. Anyone know?

CHOOGIRL · 03/12/2010 21:01

wit

Delighted to say I made it to the Wharf today but a bit Angry I missed the 20% off day yesterday.

Bloss Central London is absolutely fine, but a bit slippy in places. Enjoy your day out tomorrow.

Have school mum night out tomorrow. Hope they are not lurkers as I will so out myself. Planning to wear stripy Janice and Cake Edelmans.

MM Has your Arctic Parka arrived? What do you think? Slightly tempted to keep mine.

Roma We usually go away for xmas to stay with DPs family. This year for a variety of reasons I don't want to do that. Still desperate to get away - thinking Dubai/Egypt but spent ages procrastinating so no doubt we will stay Chez Choo.

blossoming · 03/12/2010 21:10

Snap choo, I'm wearing stripey janice tomorrow too! (I'm pretty sure carciofi doesn't have it!)
Or I might wear jeans. I'm unusually undecided on this one!

eshermummy · 03/12/2010 21:14

ooooh Tethers I didn't realise you were actually joining us . Welcome Smile
The reputation of your search and link capablities goes before you, perhaps if you wouldn't mind applying them to my boots dilemma.....Grin

Sorry, me again (am talking to myself anyway I think so it doesn't matter!)
Inspired byLTEC's charity shop man's cashmere I have been on the uniqlo site looking at men's v neck cashmere here. What do we think? Does anyone's DH/DP have one and know about sizing. Am thinking a japanese XS will not be baggy enough to look slouchy so should I go for an S or an M?
DH says M (but he knows nothing).

tethersjinglebellend · 03/12/2010 21:30

Oooh, what's your boots dilemma esher?

I tried to join the thread once before, but got distracted by shiny things and wandered off. Then it was too late to come back. I won't let it happen again

WIT is a bit of a dick by the looks of things. Although do like the Shirling(sic) gloves.

tethersjinglebellend · 03/12/2010 21:30

Where's your blog LTEC?

Oh yes, I wanted to know that too, awakenings. I have a friend who makes starry handbags and I thought it may be hers.

FritziGreenEyes · 03/12/2010 21:36

Here is cake's blog

notyummy · 03/12/2010 21:38

Hello all. Welcome Tethersend and congrats on the VWA dress. I think LTEC and I are the only ones on this thread that those style of dresses don't seem to work for- but I am sure you will be in the vast majority who are flattered by it!

LTEC Hope you feel better soon.

LetThemEatCake · 03/12/2010 21:38

esher go M. My cashmere is an XL.

tethers it's this. Become a follower!! I am horribly behind as have ben busy with dc and real work but am going to catch up soon, have lots of stories in my head.

Plum writes about beauty and her blog is here

I do think WIT has lovely skin but she has a simpering smirky look that sticks in my bitter addled aged craw.

She is pretty, but nothing special. But then, she's meant to be styling the models, she's not a model herself so that's as it should be, right??

Who wants to talk about the latest ASOS mag with me??

OP posts:
FritziGreenEyes · 03/12/2010 21:38

Depends on your normal size esher, but I would say M rather than S. You want it to look properly baggy and not like you've chosen the wrong size, right? But maybe cake can advise better.

notyummy · 03/12/2010 21:41

Vin 20% off in Banana Rep tomorrow only. UKGRAZIA.

FritziGreenEyes · 03/12/2010 21:42

Oh cross post, I'm such a slow typer.

Hey notyummy are you still snowed in? I was a bit worried when I read about your 4 mile expedition to the shops to get supplies. Thought about sending you a food parcel, but maybe it would be better if bonsoir's DP would drop emergency supplies by plane?
