Oh my God, I choked (try and hum along to We Three Kings...)!! But here is the new thread.

RipMacWinkle · 01/12/2010 21:04

Hello, I wonder if I could jump in for a second with a couple of quick questions. I've been checking out the Phase Eight Janice dress and all MN searches point to you W&A ladies.

I'd need to order it online and wondered how long it is. I seem to recall that traceybath in particular was a fellow petite lady. I'm 5 foot.

Also, when I had my colours done I was told I was a Spring. Do you think either the navy or stripe version would suit someone who's "best" colours are supposed to be turquoise, geranium red, leaf green etc etc (I do know that black washes me out completely).

I thank you all in advance for this interruption.

CHOOGIRL · 01/12/2010 21:06

Cake Agree you can't go wrong with M&S and John Lewis for your mum

geordieminx · 01/12/2010 21:07

((((de-lurks))))) Rip, I bought the stripe Janice and it is too long for me. Couldn't get it taken up either Sad

(((disappears into obscurity)))))

Wink
OllieWollieWoo · 01/12/2010 21:07

Oops - my spelling just gets worse and worse. Sorry! Off to bed now.

notyummy · 01/12/2010 21:08

I can see Bloss and I are going to have get nasty with you lot of slackers..... Wink

Romanarama · 01/12/2010 21:10

My shearling is Joseph and was a birthday present from dh 7 years ago. I think it was 1300 pounds. A sight cheaper than the Alfa Romeo I got for my birthday 8 years ago!

I just want to mention that the house warms up to 15 oC when the heating is on. But since that costs not far short of a Joseph shearling every month I don't put it on in the day, it's around 12 degrees, and I just wear the shearling! I don't get cold at all. It might be the only item of clothing in the world that I can with a straight face call an investment purchase.

Those of you with baby koalas in your bed, just enjoy it! They stop after a while, and it's really sad.

Dh has just been to Kazakhstan for the day, isn't that amazing? He got there 7am, went to a meeting, and he just called to say they're refuelling somewhere and he'll be back at 11.30!

Fleecy · 01/12/2010 21:15

I'm a spring and have the navy but don't think the stripe would work on me rip

Can't comment on length though.

cake that's probably it. So really, your Janice-wearing habits are no more avid than mine Grin

go bloss go bloss - am willing your machine to keep going long enough for you to finish. Am sure you'll do brilliantly.

Romanarama · 01/12/2010 21:15

I haven't bought shred yet, so win the slacker prize. Hello and welcome delurkers. Good luck t omorrow bloss and Zembo I vote grey.

I'll have a look for the Lindt thingies in the supermarket tomorrow.

LetThemEatCake · 01/12/2010 21:15

ha!! she eats more than ever! the difference is that she eats 3 healthy meals a day, not skipping meals and then hoovering up scones and digestives.

monkeysmama · 01/12/2010 21:18

I didn't Shred either - I am feeling really under the weather actually and am off to bed but just wanted to say good luck to Carciofi for tomorrow.

Zembo · 01/12/2010 21:19

Roman re: the koalas - I was thinking the same, total cliche but it all whizzes past - I'm clinging on to my almost 2 yr olds baby ways for dear life here Grin

Rip I am the exception to the 'Janice isn't any good for shorties' rule - I'm also 5ft 'tall' - it comes to a couple of inches above knee length on me and I think it looks fine (could be deluded here though). I have actually been thinking should get my height checked Wink!

Esher your russion look sounds v glam. Yes, I ordered your snowboots, hoping they'll be gracing my feet tomorrow.

Go Bloss Go

monkeysmama · 01/12/2010 21:20

Baby koalas Grin.

RipMacWinkle · 01/12/2010 21:21

Thanks fleecy and geordie (how are you? I did laugh at you de-lurking to tell me that) Guess I'll have to give it a miss then.

Rubbish. Thought it was a good contender - need a dress for Sunday. Snow situ is not helping!

Also, now I know you're a fellow Spring fleecy I shall shamelessly note down your every purchase Grin

RipMacWinkle · 01/12/2010 21:22

Thanks also to Zembo, could you actually be 5'10" and in denial???? Smile

Am a little confused now. I do have stumpy hobbit legs though so if there's any doubt, it probably won't do me any favours.

Fleecy · 01/12/2010 21:22

Only on this thread could you admit that roma

I love it!

eshermummy · 01/12/2010 21:23

No shredding here (not bought dvd yet oopsBlush

Sod shredding though, maybe I can just move in with LTEC for a while Grin. I'll h=get packing just as soon as I've finished this packet of M&S cake-pops....

Sew Bloss Sew!

notyummy · 01/12/2010 21:24

I have a vision of people delurking in a shimmering haze - like when the Klingon ships emerge from their cloaking devices.

Oh shit. I have just revealed what an utter GEEK I am, haven't I?

BTW, was swooning at the Joseph sheerling coat - and swooning in horror at Romas heating bill. Nightmare!

MarshaBrady · 01/12/2010 21:26

aww love baby koalas too Smile

Good advice.

Zembo · 01/12/2010 21:26

Rip don't give up, give it a go!! I'm deffo short but a fairly slim size 6-8, with slim calves, maybe that helps??? I also wear with shoeboots.

carciofi · 01/12/2010 21:26

Thanks again, will let you know how it goes. MrsJuan, I have told quite a lot of people and DH has only told his mother! Tracey, I am going to find out the sex as soon as I can so you'll know soon if you are right. :)

Esher, the My-Wardrobe code is XTYWBY and it is valid until midnight on 7 Dec.

MM, get well soon.

DD has just vomited all over me, herself, the floor and my new shoes. She then told me I'd better clean the floor and get the wipes so think she is ok!

LTEC, maybe Boden or the White Co? 20lb is great.

I have the Shred dvd ready to go next June!

Romanarama · 01/12/2010 21:29

fleecy I've just re read my post and I'm not sure which of my ridiculously OTT assertions you're referring to Blush Grin

eshermummy · 01/12/2010 21:38

Thanks for the code Carciofi, will see what I fancy Wink

bunnymother · 01/12/2010 21:39

Good luck tomorrow Carciofi - very excited for you!!

Bloss - forgot to say congrats on new job! And hope your wonderful items are snapped up tomorrow!

DD3 "passed" today's test, but MW coming again tomorrow. So 3 hourly force feeding continues...
