Oh my God, I choked (try and hum along to We Three Kings...)!! But here is the new thread.

OP posts:
Zembo · 01/12/2010 14:00

Bunny lovely to 'see' you around again. Your family are just so gorgeous, the stuff my dreams are made of Smile. So glad to hear you're doing so well (cf my DD's traumatic first few weeks when DS arrived)
Agree that it's a shame MW's don't seem to be able to use their discretion re: weight loss when they see an obviously thriving baby. Really hope everything works out well for you all with no further mention of hospitals.

I think my party efforts are more for my almost 4.5yr old DD than my DS - she is very excited, whereas it's all a bit wasted on a 2 year old!

Back later hopefully.

carciofi · 01/12/2010 14:00

I have to say a lot of the clutter here is due to me! Your menu sounds delicious, by the way, Bonsoir.

Bonsoir · 01/12/2010 14:04

Thanks carciofi Smile. Now I must actually brave the snow and shop for it! God I hate cold weather.

Romanarama · 01/12/2010 14:22

Oh choo loro piana is about the most luxe lovely and exxy label there is. And I love the shoe status, how funny! Where do you work? Are the glam invites work-related?

Bad luck bunny but if you think she's fine then dh's almost certainly is. I got a stern talking to from mw over ds2's lack of weight gain, but really applied myself and he gained a few grammes just in time.

Love the sofas, and the idea of Barcelona chairs. We have a more or less child-free sitting room, but our house is huge - 7 bed. And freezing! Rarely above 15o indoors in this weather.

pickledsiblings · 01/12/2010 14:25

Bunny I had to Google 'Belly Bandit' (unfortunate name), I've never heard of them before. I'd be a bit Hmm about the ability to reduce stretch marks but I'm sure it would help to improve your posture when you are out and about. Personally I don't like the idea of anything wrapped around my belly. I remember loving the feel of my wibbly post baby belly. It was a soft cushion for the DCs when feeding.

blossoming · 01/12/2010 14:28

£3 for a biscuit?? That's it I'm coming to London to set up my stall!!
(Well maybe next year).

bunnymother · 01/12/2010 14:46

Choo - what a glam post - you being the style judge for luxe shoes, your DD's divine coat and an outing to GR restaurant. Oh wouldn't it be luverly?!

Zembo - how sweet your DD is getting so excited! Bet it's infectious, that childish enthusiasm.

Tracey - oh, I love advent calendars - used to buy DH one every year until he raided the first 3 weeks' worth in one evening. Love all the cheesiness cheer of Christmas. Nigella me up! It's Hello Kitty that I have an aversion to. Yuck.

Everything - bone structure is the framework for a beautiful face, IMO. A la Sophia Loren, Carmen that 70 year old model, Raquel Welch, Ava Gardner, Olivia De Havilland - all v beautiful w bone structure that made/makes their loveliness ageless. Think when you have such a face, you can afford to do less to look good than others.

Pickled - yes, well not holding out any hope on stretch mark reduction, but seems I have muscle separation and feels like my enormous tum is too all over the place for it's own good. Feels unstable. More so than after DD, but apparently not uncommon after twins. How glam. So am off to find tape measure and order me a Bandit!

Bloss - your posts are so evocative - can totally picture you in Welsh countryside looking out onto frosty scenes. How fab does your stall sound? Am v much looking forward to making a gingerbread house w DDs when they are older.

Roma - 7 bedrooms?! Are you sure you aren't in Australia? So great to have so much room, tho' 15C makes me shiver in sympathy. The heating costs must be stupendous. We have a 2 bedroom flat and have it toasty all year round and even that is £££.

Oh golly just had to take the arm of a nice man on street to get to car without slipping. Have ds in my arms. Aargh love snow, hate ice!

LetThemEatCake · 01/12/2010 15:27
is for eie , zembo and anyone else who might be feeling less than chipper

hugs from me x

CHOOGIRL · 01/12/2010 15:49

Thanks. Bonsoir / Roma DD was making snowmen in the garden dressed in said coat. I have now removed it from her and put in wardrobe.

Roma I work in PR and communications for an Investment Bank so am fortunate as I do get to attend some nice events. Monday was with a colleague/good friend (who also gave me the LP coat). He's one of those people who never eats at home so consequently has an encyclopedic knowledge of London restaurants and wine lists.

The shoe thing is very funny. One of the girls came up to me and admitted that whilst in a very dull meeting she just kept looking at her new shoes and smiling.

Bunny I am also a control freak regarding DDs clothes which is why I lay them out each night. If away on business I have been known to call home just to check what she has on.

Bloss Your house sounds lovely. Lakes and Mountains.

Where is Cake?

MarshaBrady · 01/12/2010 15:54

Made it! Thought I was going to be stuck on the drive!

Choo fabulous stuff on influencing shoe taste, your mn name is very apt Smile

CHOOGIRL · 01/12/2010 15:58

Cross Post cake there you are

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 01/12/2010 16:10

bunny do you actually have diastasis recti?

Bonsoir · 01/12/2010 16:20

Roma - I love Belgian accommodation - all those massive houses (and so many so beautiful ones in Brussels and surroundings).

Bonsoir · 01/12/2010 16:27

choogirl - did you manage to get some pix of your DD in Loro Piana in the garden? Sounds just like photo shoot styling...

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 01/12/2010 16:34

bit of an odd question but does anyone here live in a country that sells Lindt Baton Kirsch?

Bonsoir · 01/12/2010 16:40

Libra - haven't seen those for years! But will look out!

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 01/12/2010 16:47

Thanks Bonsoir, they are my Mums favourite chocolate and was hoping to track some down for her christmas present, if you do see some and have the time to go to the post office I will of course Paypal you the money first. I think they are most commonly found in Switzerland.

Bonsoir · 01/12/2010 16:53

They're not sold on houra.fr, one of my usual (and France's largest) online supermarket...

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 01/12/2010 17:14

Thanks for looking Bonsoir

ReineDeSaba · 01/12/2010 17:19

fritzi your new coat is gorgeous.

I love the sound of your menu bonsoir.I am very jealous of your guestlist too Smile

tracey the autograph boots arrived and I love them but not sure whether to go up a half size as one feels perfect in my usual size, the other a bit squished..just worried may keep slipping off as start to stretch..what do you think?
