OP posts:
FritziGreenEyes · 01/12/2010 18:29

libra Lots of Lindt stuff in supermarkets here. I'll look for you next time I go shopping.

Have to admit that I haven't braved the Shred today. So exhausted, DD screaming/spitting out her food/trying to hit me, I don't know what is going on. She has never been like that before. I'm so emotional I almost cried when I clicked on cake's link Blush.

fritzi thank you.

vino have you thought about selling thru the mumsnet clothes section? less hassle than ebay.

traceybath · 01/12/2010 18:38

Fritzi - DS1 had a spell like that at the end of the last school year. I eventually put it down to tiredness and hunger when he came out of school. Thankfully it was a short-lived phase but much sympathy as I found it exceedingly trying.

Choo - I did think of you last night when I was in HN last night.

Bunny - how funny over hello kitty. I have relented a bit and bought DS1 some star wars pants and thermal pjs for xmas - I know he will love them and no-one else will see them.

Bloss - good luck tomorrow.

LTEC - hope you're feeling better and works going well.

Esher and Romana - are both your shearling coats from Joseph.

Fritzi - theres a Joseph shop in the Bicester village - I'll be dropping in there in a couple of weeks en route to sisters and will see what they have and at what price - you know for research purposes.

tracey Love your dedication to researching Joseph shearling! Thanks for kind words re DD. I love her more than anything but work is taking up so much of my energy that I can't cope with battles over dinner/bathtime/bedtime/anything really. We had a long cuddle and she is tucked up in bed listening to music. Guess she is just as exhausted as I am. Have the same approach towards Hello Kitty. DD has underwear and nightie, loves it and nobody else gets to see it.

bloss Good luck for your stall. Is it tomorrow?

vin and other newbie Shredders, feel free to start without me. I don't want to be responsible for shattering Mr Ollie's high hopes Smile. Don't get ill vin and hope DS will be better soon!

choo Well done on being shoe mentor and making colleagues appreciate the beauty of fashion! Your friend is really generous and stylish, Loro Piana clothes are so soft and beautiful.

reine Hope you get some rest soon. Do you have to give DD antibiotics for her earinfection or do you think it will pass?

bonsoir I hate the cold too. I feel like I can't function properly in the cold. So much easier and nicer to dress for warmer weather too.

marsha Glad you found a knight in shining armor to tackle the challenging weather conditions Smile.

carciofi Could you distract with a box to pack some of her toys or maybe just to play with/colour it while you get on with the rest of the packing?

zembo Tea party is such a lovely idea!

carciofi · 01/12/2010 19:24

Vino, honestly, ebay is easy peasy! I love stripes on little boys.

Zembo · 01/12/2010 19:31

Vino it's possible to ebay via a third party too. Haven't done it myself but would take all the hassle out of it.

LTEC you're v sweet. Thank you. Being a natural optimist agree with the sentiments of the song Smile.

Carciofi you must have your scan coming up soon?

Okay ladies which would you buy the gorgeous grey or the the lovely black, leaning towards the grey at the mo. Still looking but haven't found a lovelier coat yet. Really like the funnel neck, can't do double breasted or those dressing gown wrap styles etc.

ReineDeSaba · 01/12/2010 19:33

tracey did you size up for the autograph shoeboots, just wondering whether to go up half a size as one shoe tight and the other fine in my usual size Confused or do you think they will give.

fritzi thank you, that's very sweet when you've obviously had a tough day.I can feel I am running on empty at the moment from the fact only I can comfort dd2 during the snuffly nightwakings.I am missing a gig tonight becausee of it and probably my brother's engagement party too Sad
Re dd-I had a period a couple of months ago when my dd1's behaviour was so awful I would be in tears by the end of the day.I spoke to the nursery who gave me a few pointers but also reassured me she was only 'taking things out on me' rather than at being badly behaved there..I didn't know if I felt better or worse about that bit Grin I also try to keep in my mind that mantra 'tomorrow is another day' and do my best not to sulk on for days afterwards Blush

re- the cold roma you are a woman of steel in my book.NO heating during the day.my dh would love you and your resilient nature.I hope you never cease to amaze me!

another coffee head.I love Italian and Swedish brands..thinking about it makes me want one now!

It's probably not the thing to mention other threads on this thread but just read on where a 3 year old ds wanted to be a princess at a party.the flipside of MM's situation.honestly, what is the big deal about a little boy wearing a dress.there's another one about a stag do secret that actually made my stomach turn, then I wondered if I was just naive.

MarshaBrady · 01/12/2010 19:34

Thanks Fritzi Smile

The driveway is on a slope and it is all ice. I could not move. I just stood there and chatted to this work guy (fixing a telecom thing) then said 'I don't think I can do this'. I was Shock. Thought I was going to fall and hurt ds.

Luckily he was so polite and offered his arm and said nervously would you like help.... I was all yes please.

Walked another way (across some stones) on the way back!

How is work going?

Zembo they are both lovely, go with your favourite.

ReineDeSaba · 01/12/2010 19:36

Hi Marsha is baby Brady on the right track yet(fingers crossed for you)

Zembo, what a lovely coat. I prefer black but grey doesn't suit me. Very nice in both colours though. The scan is tomorrow morning.

carciofi · 01/12/2010 19:42

Vino, yes, I always seem to pay a bit more in Paypal than I was expecting but it's better than nothing.

LetThemEatCake · 01/12/2010 19:42

really haven't caught up so many apols. Bunny hope all well with you and your darling girls.

Pretty much snowed in here today (hill) Had to abandon the car last night and walk the hills in my Edelmans! Shock Grin Went to Barbacoa for dinner, magical view, esp with the snow falling. SiL (the nice one) had arrived from o/s, she lives in a bit of a backwater and is pretty out of the loop re fashion so dressed in jeans and tunic top for dinner, so I didn't feel I could get dressed up really. Wore navy Janice, fail-safe. Lovely eve. Very meat heavy menu, didn't realise that there'd only be one fish option and yikes! our reservation was a late one so there was only 1 portion of fish left!!!! and 3 of the 5 of us non red meat eaters!! luckily one ate chicken, one happy with pure veg so I scored the sole which was totally delish.

Grit truck has been by today so should be able to venture out tomorrow hopefully. Got the kids on the baking mission today in readiness for ds1's party on the w'end. So the basic cakes are made, will decorate Fri night (he wants a dog cake) Hopefully dd and ds1 can go to nursery tomorrow morn so that I can take ds2 shopping for the rest of the party stuff.

No post for 2 days!! Argh!

am going to resist reading/ clicking on links as must crack on with work. Take care all

PS - looks like a small group for 12th dec meet up which may give us a bit more scope re venue - am conversing with Choo as she is our girl about town

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 01/12/2010 19:43

bunny your DC are gorgeous and I hope DD3 starts putting on weight soon.

vino the clothes section isn't exactly flooded with onlookers but think maternity clothes usually go. Hope you feel better soon.

blossoming those gingerbread trees sound delish, I would say £2 depending on size.

eie I'm a little self-obsessed at the moment so not really sure what is happening to you but I hope things get better for you soon.

monkeysmama what is special about GANT socks? I am looking for ideas for my DH and he is quite into nice socks.Lovely sofa.

bonsoir your menu sounds fantastic, my guests are lucky to get shepherds pie, luckily DH job doesn't need entertaining at home.

zembo that coat is indeed swoonsome, I love funnel necks on coats.

Can someone post the blog links for me as I thought I had them in my faves but don't and can't remember anything from pre-DD!!

I don't drink coffee at all, quite like it in cake and ice-cream however :)

Reine. The cot is up and sitting there nicely, abandoned, with teddies.

Ds is in my bed.

He still feeds quite a bit for comfort but no crying and I have room for decent dreams (my guide to timing!). I don't feel too bad. Sometimes he sleeps in my arms.

We have reached an understanding Wink. For now.

How are you doing? Grin

And MrsJ?

ReineDeSaba · 01/12/2010 19:52

I prefer the grey zembo but that's because black wouldn't work on me! Grin but the style is gorgeous.

carciofi you must be so excited about scan..I think you are at QC?I had a very miserable lady for my last one there..hope you get someone cheery!I'm another on who keeps a bag full of stuff yo ebay but never gets round to it..any tip(apart from obviously getting round to just actually putting stuff on there Wink )

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 01/12/2010 19:53

carciofi hope the scan goes well tomorrow.

traceybath · 01/12/2010 19:54

Zembo - the grey definitely. And my new cardi would look fab on you.

Reine - I got my normal size 3's and they have given a bit.

Typing one handed as poorly DD on me

ReineDeSaba · 01/12/2010 19:58

brill tracey obviously not about poorly dd,hope she's on the comeback soon.

yes,yes LTEC you must be in the running for an award for your endeavours in the name of fashion.

marsha dd2 knows I'm weak Grin ,dh less impressed, actually huffed at me/baby? in the middle of night before rolling over to go back to sleep..denies it of course Wink

eshermummy · 01/12/2010 19:59

Ok I haven't caught up properly yet but Zembo - I think I would go for black too (grey is lovely but I have a black coat hole in my wardrobe and the coat that I gave to my mum was a black one). Have just run upstairs quickly to check sizing on the full length MM coat I have upstairs and it is says it is a GB 4 !!!! so be careful on the sizing as is deffo vanity Smile

ok, going to try and catch up, click links etc

FritziGreenEyes · 01/12/2010 20:01
