OP posts:
traceybath · 23/11/2010 19:52

Now that would be a christmas party look reine Wink

ReineDeSaba · 23/11/2010 19:53

Am returning gap coateds tomomorrow so thinking of sneaking into marks and sparks.

I think you should definitely try the fauxs [enabler emoticon]

ReineDeSaba · 23/11/2010 19:53
Grin
traceybath · 23/11/2010 19:54

Reine - they're on order already Grin

rufus101 · 23/11/2010 20:00

Stupid question for you London ladies. Am thinking of booking here for dinner Saturday night. Am staying in Mayfair, how close is Chelsea to Mayfair? Don't want to be traipsing around all night.

carciofi · 23/11/2010 20:08

Rufus, it is very close. Hope you find your phone!

happilyeverafter · 23/11/2010 20:13

Just popping on to say good look Bunny and can't wait to hear all about your baby bunnies.

I haven't been able to keep up with the thread but will catch up properly soon. I have 5 nights out in the next fortnight so will be needing lots of wise advise.

blossoming · 23/11/2010 20:16

Thanks for the jbrand tip carciofi, and glad your dd wasn't scared of Santa. My ds is still scared of him!

rufus, really hope you find your phone.

MarshaBrady · 23/11/2010 20:18

Bunny good luck, thinking of you! and those little bunnies Smile.

(back later!)

hellsbelles · 23/11/2010 20:34

Good luck Bunny!

bloss have pm'd you with my requests! I do love those BR trousers you linked to as well.

Roma will link pics and size of CL's asap I promise

Esher you naughty thing. Shall we have bets on how much has to go back? How many items did you order Grin

dolcee - wow! I love it. We are doing a kitchen refurb - soon - I currently have a Bulthaup kitchen (installed by previous owners) and I have to admit it's amazing but that one has me very tempted.

pickled that is a great idea - alas DH won't be back in time for babysitting duties. But it's reminded me about dress for success so thank you. I am off to check out WIT in a sec (was at work so didn't want to blast her dulcet tones to the rest of the office)

Rufus I hope the phone turns up!

LTEC - that song is one of my favourites. IT always makes me jump up and down (I have a much more embarassing one - only to be revealed at meet up - too bad to post here)

Zembo - Some people would rather work to take their mind of things - others need time and space. Forgive me though but from your post it really feels like you need to be at home t/m...surely they will understand if you call in?

monkeysmama · 23/11/2010 20:42

Zembo hope you've had a tranquil day.

Reine I am glad you like the faux leather skinnies. I am a lot bigger then normal atm and still then they look good. Tracey not settled on tops yet. I have muffin issues so need skimming tops but my legs are my best bit so I don't like covering them all up.

I have ordered this today and this one too to try.

Do any of you skinnies need a leopard print dress? I really like it but tis only in an xs.

I really, really like this dress and the colour is the one that suits me most. But I don't need anymore dresses like that and don't have any dos on the horizon.

Roman I was very impressed with your staying at home outfit today.

I ordered a few bits today from Hobbycraft (oh, the glamour) for us to make necklaces etc for people for Christmas and more canvases. But how the prices add up and eat in to my frivolous blue dress money.

Have I missed something - has someone got a new job?

Have been thinking about Bunny a lot this evening. CSes (spg?) always amaze me - knowing that this time tomorrow she'll have two more little bunnies in her arms.

Carciofi I keep meaning to ask how you're doing?

carciofi · 23/11/2010 20:52

I really like Baulthaup kitchens too.

MM, I am fine, thanks for asking. That blue dress is lovely, maybe you can throw a party or something so you can wear it!

I am trying to decide if I actually need another pair of black boots to replace my Rockafellas and I am giving myself a stern talking to, as the answer should really be no. :) LTEC do you wear your Love from Australia boots much?

Roary, hope you are on the mend.

pickledsiblings · 23/11/2010 20:52

mm Oasis have some fab dresses. Those red ones are lovely. I particularly like this grey lace dress.

CHOOGIRL · 23/11/2010 20:56

Evening all

bec-alike went back but very happy as have just returned from Harvey Nicks where I got my Bec dress for £89 pounds!! They have an xmas event on tonight where you pull a discount from 15 - 50% out of a hat. Got 30% plus had £140 ish in vouchers. Feeling very pleased.

Tried on Gorgeous Max Mara coat (sorry no link) but no sure whether Grey would suite - Bloss what do you think?

Bunny excited for you.
Zembo take care of yourself
Cake DD only allows JLS in the house - but can't get mm bop out of my head now!!

Any Mac users out there? Where do I find the hashtag?

Romanarama · 23/11/2010 20:57

Hello everyone, just marking my place. What was the song cake ? the video didn't work for me, maybe because I'm not in the right region.

Hope you're feeling better roary

Managed to show fab outfit to new hk (working out pretty well, house is lovely and clean and tidy without me lifting a finger, or only from time to time). Also next door neighbour, though only briefly.

Romanarama · 23/11/2010 20:57

what is a hash tag??

monkeysmama · 23/11/2010 20:58

I've been thinking of getting my sister some of the coated skinnies for her birthday (though accept I am setting myself a challenge as size 12 currently sold out) I haven't seen them in rl - are they really black? She does want some black jeans. She doesn't really wear heels. Any thoughts? Any other ideas much appreciated. I took her to Paris last year but can't repeat that. Want to spend about £50 (or less!)

Throwing a party is a good idea Carciofi (and glad you're doing well) I am trying to justify it by thinking I could wear it in the summer too.

traceybath · 23/11/2010 20:58

Romana

traceybath · 23/11/2010 20:59

Used a lot on twitter.

Wow Choo - what a bargain!

JLS very popular in this house too - put your hands up etc etc Such lovely boys too Wink

pickledsiblings · 23/11/2010 21:02

press and hold alt then press number 3

I am off to watch The Vampire Diaries, anyone care to join me Grin.

monkeysmama · 23/11/2010 21:04

Choo what a bargain!

I am seriously considering getting the Mellonhead too.

CHOOGIRL · 23/11/2010 21:07

Forgot to mention am very Envy of you Insead Alumni. I have a few friends who speak of the fab time they had there as well as the amazing relationships formed. Makes me wish I had kept up my languages after school - you only get in if you speak at least three. Is that right?

Roman With your skills would definitely recommend freelancing. Gives you more flexiblity and you could command a very good day rate.

MM unfortunately the M&S shoeboots went back - they were lovely but a bit high for me and I also struck lucky with the Cake Edelmans. Which reminds me did you get the Arctic Parka in the end?

Bunny just read your PM it made me slightly tearful (in a good way)

CHOOGIRL · 23/11/2010 21:08

Thank you Pickled Been trying to figure it out for ages.

It works

Romanarama · 23/11/2010 21:10

I though it was just called hash Blush

monkeysmama · 23/11/2010 21:10

Not got it yet Choo - am sending the Aigle back tomorrow and will order then I think unless I try the one Roary linked to.

I did wonder if you'd keep those shoeboots when I saw you'd got the Edelmans. On the M&S website everyone said how comfy they were but I found them high when I wore them a few weeks ago. Will try again on Friday with faux leather skinnies.
