bunny GOOD LUCK, will be thinking of you and your names are fabulous.

polyhymnia · 23/11/2010 23:01

carciofi, on your leopard scarf on Ebay, could I ask please if it's one of the ones currently on the Lily and Lionel site and, if so, what you didn't like about colour - too yellow/ grey, pale, etc. Thanks!

Fleecy · 23/11/2010 23:07

Hello libra

You ladies are all making me want some pleather leggings. There's a sentence I never thought I'd type Confused And yet...

I did buy some last year from Top Shop and took them back as not very wise. I have the rats and the Top Shop coated skinnies but wear them both for day.

esher I'll do it if you will Grin

LetThemEatCake · 23/11/2010 23:09

libra you dark horse! how is your new bub? we have all been wondering about you.

Right on the advice of Choo and another friend I have just bought this And am really going to get my work done now.

rufus101 · 23/11/2010 23:16

Yeh! Tom Aitken booked for Friday night and Gaucho for Saturday! Still no sign of phone.
Verity gorgeous scarves. I have bought in Zara child before and they were a perfect size.
Bloss well done on the job, and all your Christmas gifts. You'll sell them all, I'm sure.
Welcome back Libra, we have been wondering where you were.

monkeysmama · 23/11/2010 23:24

Libra hello!

Who's starting shredding? I need to start again too but need motivation not to use the precious time to sleep/shop.

happilyeverafter · 23/11/2010 23:43

MM I must shred again this week. I keep telling myself it's just 20 minutes but the dvd is still under the stairs...

AllBuggiedOut · 23/11/2010 23:45

I started shredding again last week mm. Am trying to do every day that it's not actually impossible to fit it in, and think I may chop and change between levels in the hope of remaining interested. Bored already though Confused but hoping it will see me though the festive season...

AllBuggiedOut · 24/11/2010 00:07

Hurrah for the dry pants tracey! DS3 doing well too. He did his first standing up wee at the toilet today and was very pleased with himself :)

AllBuggiedOut · 24/11/2010 08:00

zembo have a good day.

And bunny, likewise Grin

notyummy · 24/11/2010 08:49

Morning all

Soooooo excited about the Baby Bunnies Birth Day!

Have read the thread and endeavoured to catch up. Am working crazy hours this week whilst my Mum and Dad are up as I feel less guilty about the child care aspect as DD loves her grandparents and she is the apple of their eye, so all good. V cold here today. Am wearing my long H & M striped dress with grey slouchy boots and thick grey tights and feeling quite warm.

Rufus - Sorry to hear about your phone. So annoying when you probably have useful stuff on it. Fingers crossed you get it back.

LTEC - I love that dress you bought. It is beautiful. I wouldn't mind trying it but would need to be a different colour (am I kind of missing the point...?) I also had a little giggle at your conversation with DCs. That is sort of thing we have in our house too.

Questions to those of you who have coated jeans (that I cannot afford this month...but may buy next.) Are there only skinny versions, or are there straight leg too? Which do we reckon are best, TS or Gap? TIA.

Libra -Great to hear from you! Come back and tell us about your beautiful baby.

Blossoming - Well done on the job front.

Zembo - Your post was so sad, but I am glad there are many wise ladies on here to be able to offer you some perspectives on caring for yourself.

hellsbelles · 24/11/2010 09:17

Bunny Will be thinking of you all day - bursting with excitement!

Zembo - I hope work gives you the distraction you need but hurry home if not

choo perfect bargainous purchase! Insead - I could pretend that my attendance at Insead was allowed because of my language skills...alas not! I did a residential short course (2/3 weeks - I've forgotten how long exactly!) - I'm sure they do only except the best applicants though and it has nothing to do with the huge fees they charge Wink

Cake - glad you choose that one - looks potentially perfect - will await your verdict.

Tracey - three cheers for dry pants (won't that confuse the lurkers Grin)

OWW - strong coffee heading your way. I'm slurping mine too as DS had nightmares last night so was in need of lots of reassurance.

pickled - I'm wearing the bargainous warehouse scarf today - I really do love it. What a wonderful find it was!

Work today - I loved walking in and seeing all the pink noses and shiny eyes. My favourite kind of winter weather.

monkeysmama · 24/11/2010 09:36

Morning all

I to a very excited about Bunny's big day!

Cakey I am glad you chose the origami dress. I changed my mind about the floaty one when I looked at it again.

Copious amounts of strong coffee being consumed here too. Dd has always come into our bed about 5 but is spending less and less time in her cot and can't stay still when she sleeps. I am suffering. I also had horrible nightmares last night that dp told me he had just had twins (Bunny on my mind!) with another woman and wanted dd to go and live with them. I woke up angry, bereft and very upset. It's taken a while to calm down even though it was only a dream. I am a bit odd. Sympathy to the others with LOs who aren't too keen on sleep!

Got lots of returns to do today. Loads of Topshop stuff including lace jumper, crystal studded jumper etc.

For those of you in S London looking for Christmas presents for kids I can highly recommend this gang. I ordered 15 odd presents on Monday and they delivered them on Monday afternoon! These dolls are really nice and look sturdy. I've bought them for all our little friends.

Zembo hope today goes ok.

carciofi · 24/11/2010 09:39

Hi Poly, I don't see it on there now, they had one very similar a couple of days ago but they have sold out of a few styles (including a purple one I wanted!). I bought it two years ago, I think. It is a nice scarf but mine is black and brown on a neutral background and I think pinks or reds suit me better so that is why I want to sell it.

Lovely scarves, Verity.

That's a pita about your phone, Rufus. Hopefully it will turn up. Have a good weekend.

Hi Libra, how are you doing?

Zembo, I think you must be a lovely person to be happy for your friends, I mean, I know that a lot of people would find that difficult.

Choo, great price on the dress. I wanted to go last night but no babysitter.

carciofi · 24/11/2010 09:42

Lovely dress, LTEC and Bloss, I forgot to say, well done on the crafts! Are the aprons coated cotton?

40deniertights · 24/11/2010 10:17

Verity those scarves are gorgeous. Now which colour to get..?
There was talk of shredding. Have just ordered it, should be here today or tomorrow. Will need some support I think, but need to shrink my legs because i love the sound of the pleathers.

blossoming · 24/11/2010 10:22

Morning everyone!
Thanks for all your lovely comments re sewing projects! I feel ready for my debut now!
carciofi, the aprons are not coated, but are machine washable at 40C.
Back later.

AllBuggiedOut · 24/11/2010 11:05

Sorry you had a crap night mm. Thanks for the link to the toys, they look lovely. If anybody is looking for something for a perhaps 5+ boy, this game is great.

Off to return the brick dress now Sad.

traceybath · 24/11/2010 12:37

Just checking in quickly for bunny updates Smile

How excited are we all Grin

Right off to school for DS2's induction

roary · 24/11/2010 13:10

Hi all
Still under the weather - trying to figure out now if it's been food poisoning as no one else seems to have gotten it (thank goodness). So thanks so much for yesterday's virtual sypmathies.
LTEC and OWW I had to laugh - all I have been thinking of the past two days is the line in the Devil Wears Prada, when Emily Blunt says she's only a good stomach flu away from her perfect dress size. And to think I was just lamenting a bit of weight gain on Monday morning....

vino thanks for the dresses and your secret squirrel.

I am so disappointed (almost wrote gutted) about the dinner last night, it was at the Canadian High Commission and would have been both fun and also quite useful in career terms.

Have managed to eat some ravioli, will see if it stays put!

roary · 24/11/2010 13:20

Monkeys that coat is seriously brilliant - just did a very slow walk to shops in the cold and it is so toasty. and waterproof. and slim fitting.....

DolceeBanana · 24/11/2010 13:21

What a fabulous day! Bunny - we are all thinking of you girls!!

roary - hope the ravioli does indeed stay put!

tracey - dearth of houses everywhere...so we shall see what happens or will stagnate stay here for a while longer...oh, what;'s another year?

good luck at A's induction! You won't know yourself when you are just with one....a strange sensation as I always think I've forgotten something....and do miss them terribly. We have DD1's school meet tonight as she starts in Sept 11 but aww, she's just a baby...okay at times, quite grown up for 3 already, but even so.

Your friends experience at PE not good. They should treat everyone the same...twits!

They probably think I am a complete time waster as I've been in lots and get new brochures all the time! Grin

I need sturdy boots for walking in icy conditions, and a skinny long puffer coat!

DolceeBanana · 24/11/2010 13:32

Monkeysmama - I've just found us this coat I love it and think I will put it on my christmas list.....

blossoming · 24/11/2010 13:38

dolcee, I have that coat, but in jacket length, from 6 years ago. It's still going strong and as warm as ever. I love the built in wrist warmers too.

roary, you chose ravioli as your first food after bug?!

DolceeBanana · 24/11/2010 13:41

Hi Bloss....oh great...sounds lovley and toasty...I hate being cold.

Yes, was thinking the same about poor roary! Dry toast if unsuccessful on the ravioli roary Wink
