Oh my God, I choked (try and hum along to We Three Kings...)!! But here is the new thread.

OP posts:
LetThemEatCake · 23/11/2010 21:13

wearing them now carciofi! Only ever in the house though Wink

I looked at the leather-look leggings again today ... really want them!!

MM I love that dress and want it to be in red. was so disappointed in the warehouse jewel dress, the fabric was so non-spectacular, just like a heavy stretchy poplin. Blah.

I have also been known to invent my own events so as to have an opp to wear new clothes Smile Do it!!

Roma song was MMbop (hansen) - three brothers. Cute but fromage Wink Are you impressed with my cashmere for rats purchase btw?

pickled I have eyed up that grey lace dress several times. Closest I've found to day lace other than the brown M&S one.

LetThemEatCake · 23/11/2010 21:16

this looks cheap doesn't it? and if it gives her a tummy, well then I've no chance Angry

VerityBrulee · 23/11/2010 21:18

Bunny have been thinking of you all day. What a special time for you. I'm so excited Smile

Zembo · 23/11/2010 21:19

Ladies your wise words are not falling on deaf ears. Thank you. Cakey your post was particulary lovely and very true. So sorry I must be re-awakening feelings of loss for so many of you Sad.

I've actually been very weepy today so part of going in to work tomorrow is to see if it actually feels better to be distracted. If the answer is 'no' I'll be coming home again. Also I've got a fab 3 week long holiday to look forward to in mid Dec.

Carciofi glad to hear you're doing well. As Bunny 'graduates' from her pregnancy, will be looking forward to hearing about yours. I met up with 3 pregnant friends at the weekend and felt nothing but happy and excited for them, so please do share Smile

Reine your faux leathers sound ace, will be investigating.

Rufus really hope your phone finds its way back to you via some kind stranger.

Pickled was wondering who linked to the warehouse scarf - thanks!

eshermummy · 23/11/2010 21:19

Another one here who has been repeatedly eyeing up the Topshop pleathers all day.
Just supposing, I was to, hypothetically of course, order, how do they come up sizewise? I am a size 8 waist but thick of leg/thigh/calf so take a 27 rather than a 26 in jeans.

Can't believe I succumbed to the lure of the Outnet
am already mentally working out when I'll be in to make the returns drop to the DHL man!
I am blaming it on the new look site which temporarily dazzled me into thinking it wasn't the same old jumble sale full of ill-fitting tat as usual!

traceybath · 23/11/2010 21:19

Am not a fan of satin as find it unforgiving but I alas have tummy issues but you do not LTEC.

Pickled - that grey dress is lovely indeed.

Right - off to read grazia which seems to be very Kate Middleton heavy.

Oh and 2 days of dry pants from ds2 Smile He did make me laugh earlier as he'd pulled his pants up rather oddly and said 'there's a willy on the loose' Grin

blossoming · 23/11/2010 21:22

choo, Oprah can wear the same colours as me, so I take it you can too! I shall declare you a 'winter', so purple Bec (how jealous am I at that price?) is a winner as is grey. I am loving my new grey coat so much. Bring on the cold weather!

monkeysmama, I have a new job. 1.5 hours a week! Teaching GCSE Spanish at a school where their teacher has upped and left. I start next week, and continue till the exam in May.

OllieWollieWoo · 23/11/2010 21:28

Pickledsibling - I loved hearing WIT speak! She has one of those accents which has a bit of everything in there!
Roary - hope you are on the mend - that sort of bug is rough (but good for flat tummy moments!)

Does anyone else feel like an (virtual) Aunty to Bunny's babies?! I will be checking the laptop every 5 mins tomorrow!

Had a long day today - DS2 awake at 2.30am - came into our bed and sat and read Thomas books to his cow cuddly toy - for an hour! I was able to doze but he has my stubborness and would not just switch the light off and go back to sleep! Off to bed now.

Hope you have a good nights rest Bunny! Sweet dreams!

ReineDeSaba · 23/11/2010 21:28

just back from watching 'the trip' on catch up.Hilarious.

MM you are starting a (mexican) 'style' wave with those pleathers.
can you believe I just bought that grey leopard oasis dress you linked to and the warehouse one shoulder embellished slinky job I bought was inspired by the reiss one you mentioned..I have a bit of a style crush on you this week as I keep thinking I need to bling up a bit and not worry too much about scaring the other nursery mums.

I found the topshops true to size so just bought my usual dress size esher weirdly not done by waist size.

LetThemEatCake · 23/11/2010 21:29

could I carry this off?

am obsessed I tell you. Obsessed!!

VerityBrulee · 23/11/2010 21:31

Zembo my heart is breaking for you. I had a mc with my first pg and was literally heart-broken, took me a long time to get over it. Life is so unfair at times. Work is pretty unimportant right now, you need to put yourself first.

Poly Lily and Lionel 15% off, valid until 24th so be quick: yrasrevinna!10. I hope I copied that correctly.

Bloss love your crafts, also love your reaction to new job Grin

Rufus hope you find your phone, esp in time for important hair appointment.

Here is my bargain of the day for all you scarf lovers! So good I bought two, gunmetal grey with navy stars, and the pink which is raspberry toned. Think I might go back for the green tomorrow. It's silky soft, and perfectly sized, ie not child sized.

LetThemEatCake · 23/11/2010 21:31

OWW you made me laugh with your 'flat tummy' moments comment. Exactly what I thought earlier on today reading the post - was Envy! can't tell you how hard I used to try to get sick when travelling, esp en route back home - tap water in Delhi, anyone!!??

Zembo · 23/11/2010 21:33

Cake yes most definitely, Saw the dress yesterday (on-line) and thought of you, was probably too traumatised to link though. Not as keen on the satin look one for all aforementioned reasons.

VerityBrulee · 23/11/2010 21:33

LTEC saw that dress today - buy it Smile

ReineDeSaba · 23/11/2010 21:36

I saw the perfect red dress in a magazine about a year ago..a picture of a woman wearing it,sitting on the steps of a brownstone, but stupidly threw it away.I still mourn that mythical red dress, sort of studio 54 feel to it.would have been perfect for you.don't think you have linked to the perfect one yet ltec

LetThemEatCake · 23/11/2010 21:36

hang on - I like this too

Bloss I will pm you my order! I hate to write something on homemade Xmas gifts etc the other day for a job and drew much inspiration from you and your projects!

verity lovely scarves!

LetThemEatCake · 23/11/2010 21:37

did she have a coffee in her hand reine? and kind of a stressed yet approachable expression? bc if so that was almost definitely me and my perfect dress Grin

OllieWollieWoo · 23/11/2010 21:37

Verity - those scarves are fab! Will add Zara on my list to shops to zoom into tomorrow - think I have just over an hour shopping time and want to look in Warehouse & Cos too - have compiled a browse list based on all the past weeks links on here!

LTEC - I always like to see the positives in life Smile!!!!

ReineDeSaba · 23/11/2010 21:39

Grin for cake

oooh..what are you thinking of getting OWW

Zembo · 23/11/2010 21:39

Cake your second link didn't work for me, is it the origami one?

monkeysmama · 23/11/2010 21:41

Get the dress Cakey!

You made me smile Reine.

Loving your ds' comment Tracey. I love the things LOs come out with. I write them in my diary so innever forget and sometimes flick back and lol.

LetThemEatCake · 23/11/2010 21:47

hf128219 · 23/11/2010 21:59

Only got time to say I will thinking of you tomorrow Bunny

Bloss You are very talented! And congrats on new job. Tried on your new coat today - it's lovely. Don't like the red one though.

Zembo As everyone else has said - be kind to yourself.

monkeysmama · 23/11/2010 22:38

Congratulations on the job Bloss.
