LetThemEatCake · 26/11/2010 14:58

Sorry double post and will catch up when home on links and news

Romanarama · 26/11/2010 15:23

Love velvet,

Esher I didn't sign up for swimming this year as couldn't face it.

Dolce, I possibly won't be able to address you ever again. Shocking. Mind you. I wrote a cross email today and noticed afterwards that I'd got an apostrophe wrong. It took the edge off a bit. Blah.

eshermummy · 26/11/2010 15:25

Tracey I do drink when out, often to excess (Blush but in my defence it doesn't take much, 3 glasses and I'm hammered) but, you are right, I don't drink at home at all really and dh more or less teetotal so that helps. E.g after tonight, I am not out till 9th Dec so very likely will not have a single drink inbetween that period.
Not planning to drink to excess tonight btw I hasten to add. One or two spritzers Grin

Ok, have decided that I WILL take the dd's swimming this arvo. Deep breath and braces self.

Romanarama · 26/11/2010 15:28

I have a drink nearly every day. Just one. I especially like making myself a campari orange in a tall cocktail glass. I drink it while reading bedtime stories. I'd unlikely admit to that elsewhere on mn!

OllieWollieWoo · 26/11/2010 15:34

LOL Roman. Anything that helps storytime go with a zing is ok in my book!

Has anyone else seen Bunnys amazing pics on FB - the twins are adorable but Bunny looks (to quote Craig Revel Horwood) fab-u-lous!

Romanarama · 26/11/2010 15:40

God I might have to sign back up to facebook just to see the pictures

MarshaBrady · 26/11/2010 16:02

Wow at all these posts.

Dh and I have had a fab day.

Me; Vanessa Bruno mustard slouchy dress with belt in same with two diamond buttons, wolford matt anthracite tights, VBruno navy suede VB shoeboots, p&j navy slouchy coat parka thing.

Dh; Paul Smith

Destination the butcher Grin

Actually was a fab day. Sidi work at home. Love working together Hells must be great for you. Tracey you ever get the urge? Or too IT-y?

Fleecy · 26/11/2010 16:02

OWW where are the pics? I had a look on her profile page and in her photos but couldn't see them. Am I missing something?!

MarshaBrady · 26/11/2010 16:03

Did work at home. iPhone is being difficult.

Bonsoir did you get something nice for hard work?

traceybath · 26/11/2010 16:18

Marsha - DH and I used to work together - never ever again Grin

OK topshop pleathers arrived and although I like them and they are v flattering - I just don't think I'd wear them much so they're going back.

MarshaBrady · 26/11/2010 16:27

Ha Tracey Grin.

Bonsoir · 26/11/2010 16:35

Sandro was tres disappointing, and Maje even more so, so I stopped off at Six Pieds Trois Pouces on the way home and bought DD the knee high brown leather sheepskin lined boots for far too many euros that she and I have been hankering after! I reckon she'll get good wear out of them (a) it's supposed to be a very cold winter (b) I am being uber-disciplined about walking the 1.4 km to and from school.

My face is all dry from the cold!

monkeysmama · 26/11/2010 17:02

Just popping in while having blow dry at hairdresser o way out with dp. Am in faux leather skinnies, sequin whistles top, M&S shoeboots and faux fur.

Happy Friday night all.

ApuskiDusky · 26/11/2010 17:50

A quick post from wifi free and snowbound Northumberland - travelling north took us 6 hours yesterday, and with about 8 inches of snow here now, we may be staying with my family longer than intended! I have been keeping warm wearing that jigsaw cardi-coat, it is so cosy!

Big congratulations to bunny and family, so glad the girls are finally here.

GeorginaWorsley · 26/11/2010 18:11

tracey def yes to cardicoat.
I wore grey Boden Smile one today from last year's sale and it is the warmest garment that I own.
Saw quite a few people out and about in Chester in poncho/cape type things.
What is the W and A view,ladies??

Romanarama · 26/11/2010 18:56

doing the double screen catch up before dinner (salmon. Bloody salmon. And I'm not even losing weight now...)

Libra Janice definitely worth a go.

love the party plans OWW and Libra

leopard will look fab as it did at meet up NY. Have fun!

Fritz sorry you feel tired and run down. Sorry also roary that you're still poorly. Rest up and get strong both.

Bloss sorry haven't pm'ed you yet re order will do so this w'end! Hope you haven't sold out!

rufus have a great weekend!

roma I hear you re the 'no dh around to dh messing up my tightly run ship" leap. Drives me insane. really think I would do much better as a single mother sometimes.

re sugar dh constantly buys them kinder eggs etc (to 'keep then quiet happy at the supermarket or whatever) and then freaks out at me if I put a drizzle of honey in their morning milk or give them a plain biscuit for afternoon tea Hmm

ABO thanks for the Blochs link, but I already have 3 pairs so should stop there Grin

have a great night Dolce! outfit fab! and you MM - enjoy!! knock all your old colleagues off their feet!

Like both cardicoats traceyShame about the pleathers but very wise Wink

esher I'm not keen on that Pringle, not sure why - the shape?

have serious buyers remorse re velvet dress Grin That'll learn me not to try on stuff that I can't take back with all of the kids in tow. It's beautiful but somehow wrong on me (think it's my inner slapper teenager again) - makes me feel like I should be sitting down at a grand piano surrounded by jolly relatives and the glow of firelight. Blech.

I'll probably love it in 10 years

LetThemEatCake · 26/11/2010 20:15

gosh vino I'm not sure, my dc go to a nursery in our old neighbourhood .... around here I have heard the Villas is good also Puddleducks and MotherGoose. I know someone who goes to Buds and they are happy but not effusive about it.

Hope that helps! they are all very over-subscribed and expensive from what I can gather ...?

Any views ladies on my Poncho/cape question??
A def no or does it depend on the style,ie no fringing, ifyswim?

traceybath · 26/11/2010 20:39

I've got the white co popcorn poncho Georgina and have worn it lots - its flattering and warm but more I think an autumn item than winter.
