Oh my God, I choked (try and hum along to We Three Kings...)!! But here is the new thread.

OP posts:
DolceeBanana · 26/11/2010 14:10

Oh Tracey that's lovely that DS is asleep next to you...so cute!

My youngest ones are tucked into bed at the moment.

Just flicked read Grazia and it is indeed full to the brim of Kate Middleton...wonder what she is letting herself in for!

eshermummy · 26/11/2010 14:10

Thanks Tracey and Plum, I like that cardy too (arrived today in (otherwise crappy) Outnet order) but am struggling a bit with styling. I think maybe very fitted bottoms/skinnies (black natch Wink). Sleeve length a bit odd and wide/flappy maybe?
What top would you wear under?

traceybath · 26/11/2010 14:11

I like velvet in skinnies and jackets and minis - so yes I think luxe. Well you know provided you're not buying floor length crushed velvet Wink

DolceeBanana · 26/11/2010 14:12

I love velvet....go for it....

eshermummy · 26/11/2010 14:13

Bonsoir yes, pop into Sandro and buy something for yourself on my behalf too Grin

Bonsoir · 26/11/2010 14:13

Sad tracey. Woolite is good stuff, though.

A small bonus to being a mother has been the development of finely-honed stain removal skills Hmm.

DolceeBanana · 26/11/2010 14:13

However, Sofa Workshop do also have a rather fabulous velvet chesterfield sofa in purple which is to die for....Grin

Bonsoir · 26/11/2010 14:14

Velvet is lovely for both sofas and trousers.

DolceeBanana · 26/11/2010 14:16

Bonsoir...yes,do, would be silly not to!

Tracey...fingers crossed...! DD was sick last night because she jumped around too much after supper (dh!!!)...and puked rather fetchingly on my cashmere jumper so am doing the same...although its dark in colour, so cannot trace any stain. Its come out fine....

eshermummy · 26/11/2010 14:17

GGGGGRrrrrrrrrr lost post again.....

LTEC - I say yes to velvet although agree that care needed re shapes etc. Shrunken velvet jackets/blazers v nice though. I like paired with lace too.

LetThemEatCake · 26/11/2010 14:18

Vintage red dress. Fitted, sliGht knot/ drape detail to front, deep ruby colour, just above knee, 40 quid. Y or no?

DolceeBanana · 26/11/2010 14:19

What are you doing with the others tomorrow Tracey, if you are managing to sneak go out with DS1? dh?

DolceeBanana · 26/11/2010 14:20

Y...colour sounds so you!

Bonsoir · 26/11/2010 14:20

Smile thanks for the vote of faith encouragement.

DP's credit card I deserve a bit of exercise and distraction!

traceybath · 26/11/2010 14:21

Y LTEC - sounds fab

Dolcee - DH will look after them. I couldn't face Bath on a saturday with all of them in tow and DS1 will wander round and let me try stuff on for a bit without moaning.

eshermummy · 26/11/2010 14:22

Is this an ebay item LTEC?
sounds lovely but imo is all about the fit so difficult to say but description sounds perfect

DolceeBanana · 26/11/2010 14:22

Esher...yes skinny legs a must with that top...and very simple cami or long sleeved, close fitting tee (fitted/stretchy) depending how cold it is...

DolceeBanana · 26/11/2010 14:24

Tracey...sounds good. Actually my 4 yo DS is good like that...whereas DD (3) would be constantly running off/doing something she shouldn't, like opening the changing room doors at the most inopportune moment!

carciofi · 26/11/2010 14:26

Thanks, Tracey.
Lovely cardigan, Esher. Agree skinny trousers and plain top..

LTEC, yes to dress!

LetThemEatCake · 26/11/2010 14:39

No no not eBay, birds dress agency fab store on way from my place to Greenwich. So tried on and fits perfectly, bt was in hurry due to dc. Have bought. Now at post office returning red oasis dress which dh reacted to thus: grimace, then eyes wide, then wow your legs look amazing then grimace, then it reminds me of school formal. That's a no then in my book!!

Sorry double post and will catch up when home on links and news

eshermummy · 26/11/2010 14:44

Sorry it was Dolcee that commented on my cardigan, not Plum.
thank you Dolcee

Will have try-on later (if time) before going out and see if long sleeves look ok poking out of ends of sleeves. Might wear to pub tonight with black skinnies and black suede shoeboots if it works.

I know Tracey, a pub singer, I cannot really imagine what it is going to be like? Slightly made worse/better (not sure which way this will go!!!) by the fact that the lady singing is someone i know vaguely as another local mum and is a friend of friend I am going with.

FritziGreenEyes · 26/11/2010 14:57

bonsoir Have fun at Sandro!

traceybath · 26/11/2010 14:58
