Oh my God, I choked (try and hum along to We Three Kings...)!! But here is the new thread.

OP posts:
DolceeBanana · 26/11/2010 13:35

Maybe a job for the Numberjacks OWW?

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 26/11/2010 13:39

1234

I think someone was having problems if there post contained the pound sign earlier.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 26/11/2010 13:40

Yup it's the pound sign, jsut tried it and it took me back to the topics page...maybe one of our husbands has had a word with MNHQ....

DolceeBanana · 26/11/2010 13:40

Feeling very virtuous as have given house a good scrub...boring but infinitely pleasurable once the job is done!

Now trying to decide what to wear tonight....grey skinnies I think and a velvet chemise sort of top in a smokey dark grey, plus black suede shoe boots. I need my padded coat now though!

Think numbers are fine actually OWW as just noticed one in my last post...hmmm...what can it be?

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 26/11/2010 13:41

That post just sent the feminist movement back 20 years, sorry.

Dolcee, I also want your hat.

I went to school near Chirk.

traceybath · 26/11/2010 13:42

Right and again . . .

Cold - want a cardi-coat - like Esher's quest earlier in the year - you get my drift ladies . . .

So like this expensive one but too dear so what do we think of this instead

Stupid pound sign bug - tut tut

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 26/11/2010 13:42

My post not Dolcee set the feminist movement back obv.

traceybath · 26/11/2010 13:43

Lucky for us Libra that Dittany et al have a style and beauty blocked Wink

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 26/11/2010 13:45

tracey I like the Kew one but I suspect it would make a bottom look rather huge (well mine anyway) unless you are blessed with a small derriere.

mrsjuan · 26/11/2010 13:45

Hi all,

Libra - lovely to see you back - congratulations on your DD - beautiful name.

Dolcee symbiosis for 3 year olds

carciofi biker leggings look good - can you report back as to how tight they are round the calves please?

bloss very excited about my order - don't rush to post them if the weather is bad.

roary sorry you're still ill - hope doctors goes ok

gross gross gross spitting stories. envy

blossoming · 26/11/2010 13:46

Thanks traceyb, glad you like them.
fritzi, my dh is raving about the soap too. Doesn't do it for me though, I like white soap, no perfume!
carciofi, of course. I can't wait till next week!

Bonsoir · 26/11/2010 13:47

tracey - I know what you mean about cardi-coats - I have a navy cable one from last winter that was one of my best value buys, in terms of euros per wear.

My mother has bought me this for Christmas - it is very nice on, more glam than in the picture.

eshermummy · 26/11/2010 13:56

AAAAAgh it has started happening to me too, just lost huge post so will have to re-phrase very quickly

what do you think of this?

DolceeBanana · 26/11/2010 13:59

Libra...don't worry...you don't get, what's the typical MN word, 'Flamed' on this thread for anything, unless you admit to going commando Grin Sorry, had to get that on in...I'm so childish, I am giggling away to myself,

Tracey ...love the cardi-coat and you assuredly do not have a big derriere as Libra so delicately put it, so go for it I say...loving the wrapping up for the cold theme....

I normally open the post and dh had a flyer posted to him by wonderful upmarket jewellers (he is so sad, he will be pleased to be remembered by them), so I've resealed the envelope for him to open later, in the hope of it being inspirational for my christmas present...

Bloss -I like 'white soap' too...although Baileys (near Ross) do have a Lait version which is delicately scented and beautiful...and I love Savon de Marsseille...

Mrs J you angel...thanks Smile

Oh, it's snowing....'Sleigh-bells ring, are you listening, ...

DolceeBanana · 26/11/2010 14:02

Bonsoir, like the Jigsaw number,
and Esher...I like that ...though possibly not with camel pants as suggested styling...?

DolceeBanana · 26/11/2010 14:03

Marseille, sorry...Roma will have a fit!

Like that one Bonsoir - may try it on tomorrow as taking DS1 into town in the pm to look around the christmas market.

Just started snowing a little here too.

Have DS2 asleep next to me on the sofa so would be rude to move really.

Esher - I like that cardigan.

Bonsoir · 26/11/2010 14:05

I feel like popping into Sandro on the way to school pick up - I've been stuck at home nursing DSS2 for two days and feel that I deserve a bit more of a recompense than the small bunch of red tulips I bought myself to say thank you this morning.

What do you think?

Tracey - you know in the end I bought a GAP one - shawl collared and double breasyed, knee length. Warm, but not warm enough for this weather.
I also really liked the grey and black striped Sonia Rykiel one on My Wardrobe although I did think maybe it would be a bit overpowering on a small frame?

Feeling quite cross with self as have stupidly frittered away the day today. My friend collected dd2 from nursery at lunch thus giving me a clear day....which i have basically wasted hanging about for/supervising workmen and changing my mind about paint colours/running around buying new paint.
I was also looking forward to catching up with myself tonight when dd's in bed but have remembered that had agreed to go out with friend to local pub. am so NOT a pub person. What the hell do you wear to a night out to hear someone sing in a pub? Hmm It will be nice to see my friend but sooooo not my idea of a night out, pus is freezing here and would rather b tucked up in front of fire later!
Also Friday afternoon is swimming lessons day which is always a mad rush, PITA. Seriously considering not taking them

And breathe..........

carciofi · 26/11/2010 14:07

Who is Dittany?

MrsJuan, I will report back!

Bonsoir, definitely!

Like the cardi coats.

traceybath · 26/11/2010 14:08

I should say so Bonsoir.

I will not even begin to tell you about the overflowing nappy disaster with DD earlier - suffice to say lets hope the woollite works on my lovely cashmere cardigan in the washing machine.

LetThemEatCake · 26/11/2010 14:09

Super quick what's the WA view on velvet? Luxe or sofa cover?

traceybath · 26/11/2010 14:10

A pub singer - lordy Esher - ummm a nice top, heans and heels Wink

Carciofi - Dittany is a very eloquent poster in the feminist section. Very interesting viewpoints and quite thought-provoking but really not into the fripperies of S&B.
