HF oh no! But you brought back serious memories of life in Beijing for me! Once when I was cycling along, another cyclist did a great big gob all over my trousers. And sometimes people would even hook and spit on the floor in restaurants . They were called Beijing oysters . Not surprising that fatal epidemics always seem to emerge from the Chinese hinterland.

My delivery driver just called to say no way could he get up our road. And he had my snow boots!!
So I had to leave dd with dh and run down through quite thick snow and now I have my gorgeous cosy boots on my feet round the house. To wear them in you understand!! Less than 24 hrs. Good service.

Roary so sorry about your illness. I was also sick this morning, and I wondered whether I'd caught it from you . Feel OK now though might skip the ravioli today.....

Dh came back and brought me a fabulous white leather and coyote fur hat. I was horrible to him though - feeling a bit sick, plus PMT, plus generally taking time to adjust to having him back in the house again. Does anyone else find the dh - no dh - dh switching really hard? He gave the dc chocolate biscuits at breakfast time this morning, then I served them porridge. He then proceeded to complain when I sprinkled sugar on it because 'they eat far too much sugar, they'll end up diabetic'. I was really annoyed. I'll stop now, thsi would be for another thread in areas of the site where I prefer not to venture.

Yes Bloss...I called dh and asked about the snow and he reckons there wasn't any ! Yeah, right...He just doesn't want wife on phone checking snow reports, I know. Glad you got the boots, they are fab!

I wore my very own black (wolf) fur hat this morning...have had for about 5 years and dh bought in St Petersburg when away once...I've never really worn, but seemed to brighten people's mornings when they took stock of me in it! Did feel very Dr Zhivago in it I must confess! Catch you later darlinks...

Ugghh...and all this talk of spitting...yuk, yuk, vile, uck......memories of internal flight in Malaysia where I had to keep my hands over my ears and ask my dh if they'd stopped yet...to which he replied, no, just keep your hands over your ears...Vile!

Roma I find it hard to switch from no dh during week to dh on Sat morning!

So I can imagine it is even stranger with big breaks.

Good question re tonights outfit - just checked website of restaurant as not been there before (chosen by neighbour) and am a bit - looks v posh and a bit poncey! One of those menus where you need help with the menu! Now faced with a outfit dilema - think a dress is the way to go tho - along with puffa coat as we are all going on the tram (oh the glamour!). Will go and wardrobe rummage!

My scarf arrived from the US and is gorgeous. I only ordered it on Weds night and yesterday was a holiday, I am impressed with Shopbop.

I ordered these M&S biker jeggings, I thought they looked like the Current/Elliott ones but without the price tag! I think I'll get at least another month to wear them before I have to venture to Seraphine!
