EIE - hope you're feeling better today.

Dolcee - here's the dress I thought of for you.

carciofi · 21/10/2010 08:50

EIE, sorry your friend reacted that way.

I love Gails food.

NY, like the sound of your outfit. I forgot about the Ingrid Betancourt documentary, will have to watch it later.

Hells, get well soon.

Roary, do you think a US8 in the Gap cargos would fit a UK12? I like the BR top.

I have just thrown out the entire contents of the fridge as every time I open it, something smells and make me feel awful. Have just cleaned it and it still smells. Confused

traceybath · 21/10/2010 08:51

Hells - I've had a horrid coldy/sinusy thing for ages - hope you feel better soon.

Well think after talking last night the barn is off as the figures just don't stack up. Sensible thing seems to keep adding to our savings and buy somewhere in about 6 months - providing of course we ever find anywhere we actually like. Was all grim about mortgages though and how hard they are to get hence property market being so stagnant.

Have provisionally put 12th in the diary - was that ok with people?

hellsbelles · 21/10/2010 09:20

tracey - is it the 12th Dec or Nov?

monkeysmama · 21/10/2010 09:34

Carciofi and Bunny have you seen IO sale on maternity gear?

carciofi · 21/10/2010 09:43

MM, yes, thanks. I ordered bump bands.

monkeysmama · 21/10/2010 09:47

Carciofi a quick question re the love coat you pointed me towards for dd that your LO has. Is it properly warm? Dp bought her a coat from Zara (he's taken to making rather random purchases for dd that go with nothing else) but it's not really warm. We will need a toasty coat too. Thanks!

monkeysmama · 21/10/2010 09:48

Love coat Hmm? Lovely coat.

carciofi · 21/10/2010 09:53

Yes, it is really warm. I would like one myself! Sizing is on the small side, I bought age 4 for my dd, who is a tall 2.5.

traceybath · 21/10/2010 09:54

Hells - its December.

Fritzi - outnet are going to have shearling sale soon - you're registered on there aren't you? Also meant to say I looked at the joseph shearling coat in chocolate brown in Harvey Nicks - utterly gorgeous. I thought - oh look there's Fritzi's coat Smile

bunnymother · 21/10/2010 10:08

MM - thanks for IO sale tip off, but am hoping so close to the finish line that I don't need more mat clothes. Hope to find out tomorrow when ELCS will be (let it be soon, let it be soon...).

FritziGreenEyes · 21/10/2010 10:10

tracey I just thought this morning that I need to get proper coat soon as it is so cold and I'm still in my leather jacket Smile. I stroked the Joseph shearling when I was I London too. It is lovely! Thanks for info re the Outnet. I'm registered but havn't seen the announcement on shearling sale yet.

Have optimistically put London in my diary for the 12th. Don't know if I can make the Sunday as will have to work Monday morning. Maybe if I catch the last flight home?

FritziGreenEyes · 21/10/2010 10:11

Oh bunny how exciting!!!

blossoming · 21/10/2010 10:32

About half an hour ago dd threw herself head first out of the high chair onto tiled floor. I'm still shaking. She seems okay though.

traceybath · 21/10/2010 10:35

Oh Bloss - is she ok? Large cup of tea for you.

Oh Bloss hope little Bloss is OK. yes to tea. How are you both feeling now?

ApuskiDusky · 21/10/2010 10:41

Bloss, what a shock, glad she seems OK.

MarshaBrady · 21/10/2010 10:41

Good luck for relocation Yangy.

I feel drawn to this Anna Sui

and this

and this Acne

is that madness?

Which do people prefer?

FritziGreenEyes · 21/10/2010 10:42

blossoming Shock Hope you're both ok!

FritziGreenEyes · 21/10/2010 10:45

marsha Love the Anna Sui! Not keen on the green (but I don't suit that colour). For me the Acne has too much going on with the asymetric/zip thing.

The benefit of living next door to parents: I scooped her up and ran across the drive. By the time my mum had made the tea she was back jabbering and cooing and playing with the Russian dolls! I think mam could have done without the trauma as she was preparing lunch for her posh friends.
I hate the way things happen so quickly like that.
I really think sometimes, who'd be a parent.

DolceeBanana · 21/10/2010 10:56

Oh poor EIE...your friend will be back I'm sure.

Tracey - dress is lovely. Will have a look in RL. Do I detect a tone of relief about the barn? Funny, I have waited so long the next place has to be bloody perfect...! Not easy to find however....

Gosh Bunny, can't believe how time flies...exciting stuff.

Bloss - hope DD is okay...Awful when that happens.

Cake - I'm with you on the eating with children thing. I have mine later with dh, or if he's away I enjoy the quiet contemplation, whilst actually savouring my food. I think as there are 3 of them, they tend to follow/copy each other anyway...I do sit down with them, and usually end up feeding the bigger two the last of their meals though...unless its sausages, beef and yorkshire or bizarrely pesto pasta that is.....Hmm

Oh, had a bit of an argument with dh last night! Shock regarding the dc (eldest two)watching the television. It didn't help that dc1 said, 'are you going to work today Daddy?', to which DH replied in mock sad tone, 'yes, darling'. 'Oh goody!' shouted DS, 'I can watch Ceebeebies!' ....DH annoyed. Now, they tend to watch a little bit in the morning when I rusn upstairs to get dressed, all of 15 mins...then they might watch a bit later when I am making supper, because frankly of we do not have these bits of intervention they, being 4 and 3 would be bickering and play fighting and making mayhem...Its not like we can get the paints out or play dough or whatever....limited time before school, and later DS rather tired before tea...Anyway, dh thinks telly is poisonous and awful. I think everything in moderation. Your thoughts ladies.....thanks
