hi everyone. Have been clearing out drawers and discovered how many T-shirts I appear to have Blush. Have been avidly following links and buying too much as well including cheapo outnet jeans so many thanks! but thinking about shoes...

Traceybath, just wondering if you could let me know how Chie Mihara come up size wise - thinking about these jest but I am size 35 - e.g. Campers normally fit fine and sometimes slightly small - do these come up big?

I quite like these too: here but wondered if the first ones were a bit more versatile (would do for dresses and trews) - views welcome!

happilyeverafter · 02/10/2010 21:16

Gah meant to put 'chunky heeled brogue shoeboots' and flat brogues..

Am all brogued out now for A/W.

Cake - loving the sound of that outfit!

florence - cute shoes in that second link

Bargains happily

I also like the second shoes best florence

Like the sound of the outfit - a kind of insouciant cool I think cake

I'm on a high this evening as I accompanied my dad (ex-professional cellist) and mum (excellent singer) as they did a concert. And I have been bricking it for days. Anyway, it went really well and now I feel enormously relieved and rather proud. Am cosied up with DH, eating salami (not a euphemismGrin) and watching The Wedding Singer. Happy days!

Fleecy · 02/10/2010 22:48

everything that photo of your DS on FB is just gorgeous - he is such a cutie, really adorable!

Good shopping, Yangy and I like your bag and shoes a lot. :)

Fleecy, well done! My mother was a violinist, I hope dd inherits her musical talent because it missed me!

I prefer the second shoes, Florence.

Hope things pick up again, EIE.

I tried to persuade DD at 7am that it was still the middle of the night but she wasn't having it so I have made dinner and a cake, very efficient à la Blossoming!

I tried on my old Gap quilted coat and DH agrees it is fine for the playground and told me to get something more exciting with the money.

Morning! What a cr@pol@ weekend! DH working non-stop. I've done supermarket, IKEA, now have 4 hours work to do - need to pack to go out in 6 hours on a residential course for 4 days, and 25 other things to organise meantime. Luckily the ds are finally of an age that they just get on, invent a game, and play it for hours without adult intervention. I have to put something in ds3's schoolbook about what we've done in September outside school, but it's nothing! Or so dull - walked the dog, been to IKEA, gone swimming. I nearly cried when I looked at the blank page this morning and mulled over how much I don't like life at the moment. Poor dh looked very forlorn as he went out for a day at the office (14th full day in a row). He promised to bring me a proper pizza from the real Roman pizza place in time for me to eat it before I go out to catch Eurostar - so cutely Italian Smile.

Now, for a serious problem, I have an IKEA bookcase to build and there are no instructions in the box. I think it could be quite challenging.....

Romanarama · 03/10/2010 09:21

Sorry for self-centred post, hope you're all having a better weekend! Shall I buy the Rubens Mac? what do you think?

MarshaBrady · 03/10/2010 09:38

Roman that Mac would look fabulous on you Smile.

And hugs. I don't want to influence your life/career decisions at all. But just want to ask; do want to keep going with the job? Is there a time soon when you think it will get better?

LetThemEatCake · 03/10/2010 09:39

non mi piace Roma - puts me in the mind of M&S, but at 3x the price, iykwim?

lol at eie drowned rabbit - you don't know how right you are!! Got off tube at Fulham Broadway with intention of getting a black cab rest of the way. No black cabs. Pissing rain. Traffic at standstill due to some major incident at Hammersmith. No mini cabs. No brolly. Walked all the way to the pub. Sodden!!! thank goodness for boots!! thank goodness for shorts (no annoying wet hem cling) Thank goodness for rabbit (absorbed most of water) Thank goodness for plastic bag, held fetchingly over head. Grin

Thank goodness for bucket of wine, obligingly poured by friend when I arrived.

MarshaBrady · 03/10/2010 09:43

Or if not on the trench Grin

This Stella M is quite nice, (bit exxy)

LetThemEatCake · 03/10/2010 09:44

good lord Roma not self-centred at all. Just sounds v. gruelling. Hope it's all on the up soon. Lovely dh and the pizza Smile

DolceeBanana · 03/10/2010 11:21

Thanks lovely ladiesx for all your wonderful baby dolce birthday wishes...she had a lovely day (in the end), as DS woke up yesterday covered from head to toe (I kid not) in spots...yes, chicken pox! So we had to stay in and cozy up...DD1 will be next for sure..

DS no too bad - def obv under par...but handling it all well....

How did the house view go Tracey?

Shame about the boots Helles...I wonder about the wide top on the bikers too? Anyone got any narrow-ish ones? Skinny ankles here too...

Cake- thanks had a fab time on Friday...really love eve with 3 gorgeous friends...

Roma - feel for you. Any chance of taking some time out soon? Not worth being miserable but maybe if/when dh around more will even things out...take care though and not self centred at all...hopefully a vent on here will make you feel better..good luck with the book-cases Wink

Catch up later!

blossoming · 03/10/2010 13:14

Hi all. Hope you're having a lovely day. I am hoping that the weather is miserable everwhere and that up and down the country people are trawling eBay for jimmy choos and Paige denims!!

hellsbelles · 03/10/2010 13:45

Roma - sounds gruelling to say the least.

On a practical note have you googled for the ikea instructions online. I have managed to find instructions online for pretty much everything.

I have just discovered that my toe nails look as if they have a 20 a day smoking habit. I'm pretty low maintenance on the beauty treatments front...but every 6 weeks when I get my hair done I also get a pedicure...which usually hangs on for about 4-6 weeks. So I haven't seen the real colour of them for yonks. Well - I took off the polish the other day and quelle horreur. Quite shocking. Even DS said - 'you have yellow toes Mummy'. I'm hoping that this is the effect of dark polish seaping into the nail...not old age. I'm leaving them 'naked' for a whole week in the hope they are revived!

Tracey, can you look at my message from last night? Pretty please?

DS has to write a diary entry every Monday. This weekend he did computer games, tv and, um, shopping....it was wet though!
