I'm allowed to take cast off now "occasionally" for the next two week until the x-ray shows that the fracture has closed completely. Ballet flats for London should be ok then. Will also get flat ankle boots when I'm there.

cake hope your DSs are better and sleeping well tonight so you can get some rest. Your Florence Nightingale outfit sounds great though. The leather jacket sounds amazing!

Good luck with ebay auctions. Good decision to keep the DVF dress carciofi. Will DS be back to school tomorrow blossoming?

Hope everything was ok with DS at doctor's rufus and that you are feeling better too.

notyummy hope you are sitting on the sofa with a glass of wine. You must be exhausted after everything that happened today!

My Outnet order hasn't arrived today and we won't be here until Monday. Hope they are not sending it back in the meantime... Really want those trousers now!

hells you were obviously ahead of fashion last year with those shearling boots Wink.

ollie your dress for the wedding sounds lovely. I also want to get a hat for autumn/winter. DH wouldn't get it either.

I want to be choo and buy hosiery at Harrods and Louboutins at work. As I might take up that job offer at the yoga studio nearby that might be a bit unsuitable though. Next time Louboutins are on sale at the Outnet I'm going to get a sky-high pair anyway and just wear them on the sofa.

roary tough decision...

roma hope you had a good day at work and are now on your journey back home! AP situation sounds really stressful. Hope you'll find someone lovely and reliable soon.

FritziGreenEyes · 28/09/2010 19:52

x-post notyummy. Can't believe that plumber but I experienced similar when our boiler broke down in winter. Your DD sounds really cute. I love it too when DD approves of my outfit choices.

DolceeBanana · 28/09/2010 19:54

Lol at you 'inventing appointments' Tracey!

That's a very good idea! Must do same...when Parents up next... Wink Trouble is I am an awful fibber....

Well. what an evening. Dh out and so put manic dcs to bed (utter mayhem tonight, for some reason)...and DS pooped himself...! Greeat! I have thrown the offending articles as such a mess...hoping its a one off and not a bug! Oh Lord, please no!

Now, looking forward to Pesto Pasta and maybe a glass of something! ? ?

Notyummy...hope you are feelin g better... Smile

happilyeverafter · 28/09/2010 20:10

Notyummy hope your week gets better. I would be cross about the plumber - you would think plumbing is plumbing!

I am also envying Choo with her work louboutins and luxe hosiery - so glamourous!

I am still waiting for my Zara delivery but consoled myself with the Oasis sale. There are some great handbag reductions, I bought this indigo satchel reduced to £30 - I already have it in another colour and the leather and shape are just lovely. Also got a scarf and a few pieces of costume jewellery.

I keep looking at clothes for DD but she has an embarrassing amount of A/W yet I seem drawn to looking at small cute items. Must resist!

Glad you can take the cast off a little Fritzi - must be very restrictive!

Cake - hope your DC recover swiftly and don't share the lurgy with the rest of the household.

Am feeling a little woe is me as DH away on business and should have returned this evening. He has now been delayed and won't be back until tomorrow evening at the earliest. This is my 'night out' when I go swimming, I hate missing it as I can't squeeze it in anywhere else and there's a fab group of people who go and keep each other motivated. It's happened a few times recently and I feel far more cheated than if I had to cancel a real night out.

Hope your DS is ok now Rufus and you don't have shingles. A lady I used to take to church many years ago had shingles and used to wee in a bowl and soak her feet in it. She swore by it as a remedy but it was very unsettling when she used to take her feet out of the bowl and ask me to put her shoes on Biscuit

CHOOGIRL · 28/09/2010 20:16

Fritz Lol at you wanting to be me. It sounds more glamorous than it is. I work in London often late so going to Harrods, Selfros, convenient..one stop shop open to 9.

If you do want Louboutins they are on sale at Outnet tomorrow.

Romanarama · 28/09/2010 20:20

Ny your dd sounds so cute. D'you think if I had another it would be a dd??

Hells your post just made me sit up and take notice. I don't think my boys are suffering their aps, though they're sad when they go everytime. But maybe I'm blind. Anyway I've started looking for a part time job. Is compromise just inevitable?

Any old oil gets your eye make up off

notyummy · 28/09/2010 20:39

Just had quorn shepherds pie comfort food whilst watching Britains Next Top Model (brain falls out on to plate....) and feel much better!

Like that satchel Happily.

Hope your DS are doing ok LTEC.

Romanarama · 28/09/2010 20:39

I would love to pop into selfridges for some work louboutins, which did you get Choo?

I learned how to change car tyres in 5 mins as used to get many flats in umbria. My tip is to leave the car on the ground for the first twist to loosen each nut, then follow the instruction book for where to put the jack, and the rest. Deffo recommend having a go if stuck though perhaps best to flag down a passing bloke to tighten everything up!

I love wearing dresses, so comfy and elegant. Please remind me not to buy anything else anymore!

Romanarama · 28/09/2010 20:43

Yes, how are the boys ltec? Fingers crossed no one Pukes in your bed - ime that's the worst

notyummy · 28/09/2010 20:47

Roma- Sounds like a useful tip! I have changed tyres (although not for ages....) however have to admit in the UK I generally succumb to the lure of the RAC (so my membership fee isn't completely wasted.)

I too love dresses. Am wearing black maxi tomorrow with belt, big green necklace and black wedge boots. Have got lunch out for a colleague leaving, do any excuse!

CHOOGIRL · 28/09/2010 21:03

Hi Roma I got the Miss Tack in 85mm. They are like the simple pump with a thicker heel. Regular black leather. Perfect for commuting (don't do trainers!).

Did you get a laptop bag in the end?

NY I LOVE BNTM, but not as much as ANTM. This year Andre Leon (ex US Vogue) is a judge. I'm almost hyperventillating (sp) with anticipation.

DolceeBanana · 28/09/2010 21:03

I love this jumper www.my-wardrobe.com/acne/grey-alpaca-chunky-polo-neck-jumper-728943 and the way it's styled in the main picture...on the lookout for one, and skinny cords...tempted by the Joseph and J Brand ones...my Helmut Lang are a boyfriend shape...nicely fitted around derriere but find the legs way too wide now...so used to skinnies!

Right want shearling biker boots...in black...

Notyummy - your DD is lovely! My DD1 (3), is v scrummy...she looks intently at me and says things like: 'when I grow up I want boobies, just like you...umm, when do you think that will be?' at the top of her voice...usually in changing rooms in shops...and she is obsessed with heels and dresses too! She tottered out in my LK Bennett platform 3 inch heels saying, 'I looove these shoes Mummy!!' Lastly, she applies any red crayons, felt pens to her cheeks and lips, and says that she is putting on make up!

Tracey - DDs 1 and 2 wear a fair bit of navy...usually with stripey bretons or such like and the baby, cute and pretty as she is often gets mistaken for a boy! Mind you she's been mistaken for a boy whilst wearing pink, so show's how dozy some people are!

Roma - oh, go on have another one!

Zembo · 28/09/2010 21:25

Calling Tracey the jeans expert- what size do you get in J Brands? I'm looking at these. I usually go for a 26 in jeans but they're always just a bit big and need a belt. Thinking of trying the 25 but not sure my muffin top can handle the low rise! Also considering the Fritzi grey skinnies.

FritziGreenEyes · 28/09/2010 21:29

Feel really flattered that you name a pair of jeans after me Smile. Would be even happier if I could get my pair soon. We won't have to leave tomorrow before 11 so there is a chance I'll catch the DHL delivery.

roary · 28/09/2010 21:31

notyummy and choo I looooove bntm and antm. Please explain to me how no one has fixed joy's teeth. Charlotte was my fave.

Roma working life would not happen here without our nanny. I think we will have one even when they are at school. I'm sure you've thought of a nanny and decided it wouldn't work for you, but they do tend to be more mature. Of course sanity rather than maturity was your latest prob! I always take heart in the resilience of kids. My parents left us once in a while with sitters when they went on holiday as we had no nearby family. One of them was senile and set the toaster and part of the counter on fire. My 10 yr old bro put it out! We still joke about it.

PlumSykes · 28/09/2010 21:32

Ugh, am on Dukan again, started this morning. Am so over meat. But want/need to be a thin Frenchy, so must persist. Despite having cooked DH pasta laden with bacon, cream, vodka and tomatoes. Was torture sitting opposite him to eat!

DD had 3 friends round after school today, so house is in turmoil. Am too snoozy to sort it now, am just waiting for a load of laundry to finish so I can whip it into dryer, and then am off to bed with the new Grazia. Lovely!

Placed a big order with Boden today, to take advantage of their offer. Bits for the DCs, plus this cardigan and some leather plimsoles for me. We shall see...

Went to our newly openend TK Maxx store today. Picked up lots of pairs of Johnsons cashmere gloves and wrist-warmers. Will make excellent Xmas gifts for teachers etc. Also got some weights to use with Shred DVD. Won't do it, obviously, but the intention's there.

Think have made decision on boots for DD. Have bought her Angulus ones for the last 2 winters, but now she's in school shoes Monday to Friday, they seem like a terrible waste of money. Instead think we will try these from Clarks, and wellies for trips to the park!

Oooh, forgot to ask again for visitors to my dress thread. Fleecy joined me briefly! But would love your input.

PlumSykes · 28/09/2010 21:35

Also, have just posted this on Facebook.

Fed up with me constantly posting about my blog? Thought so. Well here's a thing. How about you register for email updates instead? Then you'd get a mail telling you whenever I'd updated the blog, and I wouldn't need to bother you on Facebook anymore. Win-win, non?

roary I have posted! I've been working lots today and had a music rehearsal for a concert Saturday, now back and gearing up to start work again. Not for too long though!

plum will do it now...

GeorginaWorsley · 28/09/2010 21:45

roary · 28/09/2010 21:45

Thanks fleecy! Mwah!

Fleecy · 28/09/2010 21:50

You're most welcome Smile

I love trying things and seeing what works and what doesn't. So much fun. Do report back!

LetThemEatCake · 28/09/2010 21:51

thanks ladies

boys seem okay-ish, although puke on the bed happened last night roma (and on sofa this morning - lots of trips to the laundromat today...)

both really badly off their food and I did the out-of-character this arvo and let them both have plain biscuits bc I figure they need some calories from somewhere (bub has barely eaten since Friday night, but seems happy, even when he pukes, but now that he's so mobile and not bfing much, I figure he needs some energy, no?) They both had a bit of chicken and veg at dinner. Went to sleep fine.

DD of course is fine, constitution of iron, that lass

of course dh is working like a loon, off to LA for 2 weeks this weekend and was even away for L's birthday (that never would have happened with PFB!!)

anyway, pretty yuk day but did at least manage to get out for a run and was in such a crappy nood that I took on the hill that usually kills me 5 times. Yes, 5 times. Got slightly obsessed (just once more! go on!! GO ON!!!) Felt good though. Almost as good as getting changed back into my Florence Nightinglae leathers (love it Fritzi!!) and going to do nursery pick up only to find hunky gardner at work on the nursery garden. Phwoar.

helles you daft bint am sure looked uber-fabulous in your Vero Moda etc plus am sure your jeans and boots far more styley and luxe than mine

right, pile of work to do, short deadlines, must crack on.

Any advice on the shoe front by the way? Mid-heel black court type thing, not Louboutins although i wish ...

notyummy · 28/09/2010 21:55

Roary- Will have a look at your thread shortly.

Plum- Am also reading Grazia. What you need is a nice smoked salmon omlette- Dukan AND delicious! Go on - give the Shred a try.....

CHOOGIRL · 28/09/2010 21:57

LTEC I think you deserve Louboutins, but if not then LK Bennett have some good courts. If you are near Canary Wharf this weekend I think they will be doing their fashion 20% off.

PS You're not going all corporate on us are you?
