The previous Carry On thread is full, so thought I'd start the new one.

General comments, thoughts, anything that we fancy but NO willy waving!

That's great thanks. Well it will all have arrived by Tuesday so quit date is Wednesday. After 19 years of smoking it's a scary step but I am very determined that this time I will stop.

FuckMyUterus · 21/05/2017 22:04

Anyone who's interested, the website is live now!!! Eeek! Link is on the FB page!

Jins · 22/05/2017 16:30

Well some of the bargain premium Eliquid I picked up in the tpd sales has been ok but most has not. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for it.

The captains reserve skull bottle will be reused. If I'm honest I bought it for the bottle but I was hoping I'd like it.

ApocalypseNowt · 22/05/2017 18:27

Thanks Polter! I'm feeling better this week and still no cravings for fags...yay!

I'm still faffing about with flavours but keep coming back to vanilla or raspberry. Bought myself an Aspire PocketX, mainly because it looked nice but seems ok so far.

Jins · 23/05/2017 09:55

Glad you're feeling better. I'm still faffing with flavours months on but custard and strawberry or raspberry seem the most frequently used.

I'm enjoying a golden flapjack one occasionally and a Seville marmalade but I couldn't stick with them all day

Jins · 30/05/2017 14:09

@PencilsInSpace I spotted you on the smoking in beer gardens thread asking about mixing high strength now the tpd is in force. Short answer is that 12mg is easy but 18mg isn't.

If you add concentrate to a nic shot the highest strength you will get is 15-16mg depending on the strength of concentrate needed.

Was going to PM but thought it may be useful for others

Hi guys
I've been happily vaping away for 15 months. Just decided to start trying for a baby now so thinking of selling my 3 month old Aspire Zelos kit on.
Are there any Facebook groups or similar where I can do this? I tried EBay bought they don't let you sell them on now, unless you're a shop!

Dlpdep · 15/07/2017 21:37

I have started vaping today. I know nothing. I have an aspire pocket x and some raspberry and peach juice. Educate me please lovely mner's!

CosmoSmallpiece · 16/07/2017 09:53

If you need more info on your device then head to YouTube for stuff like this , Scott's been on the go for ages and knows his stuff. For more general info this thread covers lots of it, good luck.

Jins · 18/07/2017 14:47

Well I missed my six month vape anniversary by a few weeks so haven't celebrated. I think I've got the hang of it now Grin

I seem to have settled with my doggystyle as my everyday tank as my nautilus hasn't been out of the drawer for weeks. I should probably use the coils up and sell it but I'm sentimental about my nautilus.

I'm now trying to avoid buying premade liquids and switching over to mixing my own

Dlpdep · 18/07/2017 17:37

I've gone back to stinkies! My chest is in awful shape as a result of the ecig. This couldn't be right?

MonaTheMoaner · 20/07/2017 15:09

Checking in.

Day 3 on the Smok Alien 220w running at 45w with a 6mg strawberry milkshake liquid. Coming off 50-60 rollies a day and fed up of smelling, spending so much money on something that's a boredom habit more than anything and TTC.

So far, so good.

MonaTheMoaner · 20/07/2017 15:10

Dipdep, what's your PG/VG ratio in your liquids. PG always sends my chest into horrendous shape and is the reason I went back to cigarettes last time.

I'm vaping 30 PG/70 VG at the moment and it's not giving me any trouble this time.

Dlpdep · 20/07/2017 17:34

It's 49VG/35PG but then says 15% flavourings in the PG so not sure really.

I just find that it catches me deep in my chest.

MonaTheMoaner · 20/07/2017 21:06

Definitely try to vape on a 70/30, 80/20 and there are even 99% VG ones available quite cheaply on VapeClub.

Dlpdep · 20/07/2017 21:29

I must have a look! Thanks so much for the advice, I really appreciate it!

OytheBumbler · 20/07/2017 21:34

Can I just bumble in and ask a question please?

I've been vaping for 7 months on an eleaf/mini nautilus combo as recommended on here. I really like it but fancied trying something smaller stealthier so bought an aspire pockeX (again as recommended on here baaa)

It's really different though! On the Nautilus I usually take long drags, almost like drinking it in but on the PockeX I have to take very short pulls before it gets hot on my lips.

Is this normal? It also pops a fair bit but I presume this is because it's new and just 'bedding in'. It's just I can't take more than a 1-2 second drag whereas I can hold the nautilus for 10+ seconds at a time!

Polter · 21/07/2017 08:51

Dip ignore is normal when giving up smoking to feel 'chesty' as your lungs clear out the crap and return to normal functioning. I would try again with a lower PG juice, perhaps a menthol?

Polter · 21/07/2017 08:54

I've got a Pockex and it's definitely different to a Nautilus, I quite like that it gives a bigger hit quickly, but the crackling is a PITA, I usually hit the fire button to disperse the pops and crackles before bringing it to my mouth.

Polter · 21/07/2017 08:55

Dip that ignore should say it Confused

Dlpdep · 21/07/2017 10:16

I have raspberry and peach juice so I thought it would be ok. I'm normally a menthol smoker. I can feel it catching on the part of my chest that it makes sore. It does crackle and does get hot at the top.

Polter · 21/07/2017 10:45

It might be worth trying a different set up. My suggestion is to get hold of an Aspire Mini Triton (now discontinued which is such a shame as it's a brilliant tank) or Aspire Mini Nautilus (they both use the same coils) and pair it with an eLeaf iStick or similar.

Jins · 21/07/2017 15:33

Agree on the istick/nautilus combo but the aspire K3 starter kit isn't a bad option either.

Dlpdep · 21/07/2017 17:38

My brother has the é leaf I stick - it looks like serious kit though!

Polter · 21/07/2017 17:59

It's really not serious kit! the basic 20/30w ones are brilliant entry level batteries.
