The previous Carry On thread is full, so thought I'd start the new one.

General comments, thoughts, anything that we fancy but NO willy waving!

Apologies all round, got my order this morning, I think I panicked when I read reviews and saw mine still hadn't been dispatched, I have asked mumsnet to remove my linked post as I don't think it's a fair remark now. Thank you once again Jins for the original link, I'll try not to be so hasty in future.

Jins · 26/04/2017 10:37

Phew. Glad it arrived for you mismo.

I've been vaping on the nimbus all morning. Think my nautilus mini will be relegated to spare status Smile

Most people prefer the mini to the big nautilus but I'm the other way round. Thank goodness I have a spare one from a sale section.

Yes I'm using the nimbus on my istick mini while I'm waiting for my new one to fully charge, and I'm well impressed, can't wait to try my new battery, it will be quite a learning curve for me I think, at the moment I only have an istick mini and a kanger sub vod, as I'm fairly new to vaping,

Jins · 26/04/2017 11:14

I have an Istick mini and it's ok but I could do with a few more watts for some tanks. It's firing the nimbus well at 4.7 volts but it's in another league at 12-14watts Smile

I'm researching coils. Apparently it's a rebadged freemax ifree but that's no help. I think I'll try an aspire bdc and the newer version

mismo · 26/04/2017 11:55

Does that mean I can use an Aspire bdc coil with the nimbus, as I've got some of those already.

Jins · 26/04/2017 11:56

It looks that way. From what I've read the DVC ones are 'better' but it's got to be worth a try.

I can't find my bdc coil so you can be the tester Smile

That's good to hear PolterGoose. The juice holes looked bigger than my memory had me thinking.

Good enough to hear they fit. Cheap coils too

mismo · 26/04/2017 13:15

Well, what a difference, I can actually taste the juice flavours, I don't think the wattage on my istick mini was good enough, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Ollivander84 · 26/04/2017 13:16

I tried a cigarette Blush
When I say tried, I had a puff, went "that's bloody disgusting" and carried on vaping

mismo · 26/04/2017 13:19

I'm still trying to give up the odd cig, hoping this does the trick, just need some plastic mouth pieces now, I don't like the metal ones.

Jins · 26/04/2017 16:23

I gave up by accident when I bought kit and liquids that worked for me. It can take a while. This is my third vaping attempt but I think I've cracked it this time

Jins · 27/04/2017 13:54

Hot on the heels of yesterday's new tank comes a second new favourite. The brilliantly named doggystyle.

It's really easy to build and goes from sucking a watermelon up a straw to OMG my lungs. If anyone is toying with the idea of a rebuildable this is the one to get

Digbys and Mrs Lord & co have some on sale too

ApocalypseNowt · 03/05/2017 19:28

I've started vaping!

Got a starter kit from Jac Vapour (series S17) a while ago. Had a half hearted attempt when i first got it but properly started vaping this weekend. Haven't had a fag since Sunday!

I'm using it quite a bit but i did used to be on 20 a day.

I'll see how it goes for a while then might think about using the money I saved to get some more kit. Don't know what though...I'll be sure to ask your advice although a lot of what you talk about on this thread appears to be in another language.

Justmuddlingalong · 03/05/2017 21:44

Just dug out and charged my kit tonight. It's been lying in a drawer for months, but after a ‘bugger this' moment when I was asked for £10 odd for 20 cigs, I'm giving it a go. As DP and I both smoke, the cost is astronomical. I'm sitting in the house puffing away, not sitting out in the back garden in the cold. I'm liking it. I've got an eGo-T 1100 battery, an eGo twist 1300 battery and an aspire tank. Does that sound OK to be starting with? And does anyone have any advice on cases to keep all the kit together, especially for taking on holiday? TIA.

Well done new vapers.

I've got an electronics travel case from Amazon for holiday travel. It's got hard sides so quite protective and it will take an awful lot of stuff. I do have quite a toolkit as I use rebuildable tanks as well as my trusty nautilus

Justmuddlingalong · 03/05/2017 22:35

Just had a rummage and found a brand new pencil case?! It fits my charger, USB cable, a couple of bottles of eliquid, spare coils and my spare battery. It's even long enough to hold my big battery without removing the tank. Result! I'm feeling quite excited about using it all. Red Astaire certainly smells better than John Player Specials. Grin

Ollivander84 · 04/05/2017 00:00

11 months in for me and over 10,000 cigarettes not smoked. I tried a puff on one the other day. Bleugh. I had wine, that's my excuse Wink wasn't even tempted to go back to it

Justmuddlingalong · 04/05/2017 00:06

Love reading all the success stories here. Well done vapers. Budge up, I'm joining you. Grin
