The previous Carry On thread is full, so thought I'd start the new one.

General comments, thoughts, anything that we fancy but NO willy waving!

Hi there Vipers, I could do with some advice!

I'd been vaping for a few months then my device stopped working (it's not charging) and I succumbed to cigarettes. I'd like to go back to vaping but I'm not sure what kit to get.

I was using a Liberty Flights EVOD2 that I got from my local vape shop but I'd like to try something else. The tank is quite small and needs refilling often.

I've looked online but the amount of choice is bewildering...

Anyway what would you vipers recommend?

Thanks in advance! :)

I'm still around too, NINE months next week! And there's still days I cannot believe I have done this!

Currently house sitting for a pair of smokers and finding it nigh unbearable to walk into their house, the stink hits me like a brick wall. And these people are clean freaks! God only knows what my home must have stank like this time last year.

magimedi · 30/06/2016 12:11

ANother one who is very happy with mini nautilus & eLeafIstick combo. Been using it for about 2 years & coming up to 4 years fag free.

GreenMouse · 30/06/2016 12:25

Thanks, I will look into that then!

Another question: where's the best place to buy?

I bought my Endura T22s (I have 2 now, argh, am a shopaholic!) from Amazon - good price compared to my local bricks and mortar shop, and have just ventured into sub ohm territory for the first time with a Kangertech SubVod starter kit (yet to arrive), also from Amazon. I'm really enjoying vaping again, but am struggling to stop myself spending more on it than I ever did on smoking (sigh). hollinhurst now you know why linking to that nail polish site was a bit of a poisoned chalice for me - here I sit, at 2 am, still not in bed, cos I was browsing, then got sidetracked into looking at vaping stuff, and a couple of purchases later, I think it may be time to call it a night. I think I just might have an addictive personality :)

bettybiggestballs · 02/07/2016 17:32

beezer that has done the trick! Thanks so much for letting me know. Vaping away happily!

StarryStarryArm · 02/07/2016 17:48

I really need to get on the vape again - I've been smoking real cigarettes since being in hospital with PND last year Sad. I had a FreshCig refillable one before - it was ok, I used it for a couple of years until I got pregnant, but it was a bit unreliable. I had to replace the rechargeable battery quite a lot and the tanks only lasted a short time before they stopped working.

I've looked at the recommendations upthread and I'm just a bit confused really about how it all works - could someone give me an idiot's guide to what I need to buy and how to work it please? Smile

hollinhurst84 · 02/07/2016 18:07

Popular on here is
The tank bit (you fill with liquid) mini nautilus
Battery bit - eleaf istick
Then you just change the coils which go in the tank and you also need e liquid

Kelsoooo · 02/07/2016 18:13

I loved my eleaf. But broke it so ended up with a kangertech mini. But changed my tank to iSub G.

Need to update the tank though, this is pretty poor.

I only ever vape Bullets Juice (their strawberry milk is awesome, as is Biscaliscious) or three pawns xx

I was going start my own thread but I'm going to post here instead.

I've been vaping for over 6 months now. Was a 20a day smoker.

Got a basic set up and cut to about 10 on 18mg nicotine.

Got a eleaf and mini nautilus and cut instantly down to between 1-3 until holiday in April where I smoked quite a bit, bought 200 fags home and have smoked those.
I'm currently smoking about 4-5 and have dropped to 12mg.

The problem is I don't have drags through the day I can sit there and vape for sometimes up to a hour. I'm getting through quite a lot of liquid.

But I need to quit by sept. After years of debating with myself I decided I wanted braces again to sort out my huge gap and crooked teeth. But my teeth are in bad shape and are thinning so badly I've been advised to not spend all the money on that and to get a full mouth of white crowns.

So that's my incentive perfect white teeth.

Any advice from anyone on how I can finally kick this habit?

Polter I'm happy to spend a bit to get something decent and reliable that means I can cut out the fags. Feel like such a scumbag to be back on them.

So the tanks can be used over and over? The ones I had before had string in basically so they got gunked up pretty quickly.

Most days I do 5ml juice sometimes a bit more.

Tbh I think it's just a bad habit, sit vape and go on mn.

I have just upped my setting I'm running a 1.9ohm on 8.4W.

I've been on 12mg nicotine for about 2months now one of my friends said as my kits more powerful and it's been a while to drop the nicotine but I know there using a very powerful setup and run on twice the power I do. I have mine on a hard to draw where as there's is a sudden draw. Hope that makes sense no idea what it's called.

I think as off Monday I will go back to 3 and gradually reduce them again.

Love the eleaf and mini nautilus set up had it for a good few mo the now, is it worth getting another tank or a replacement just incase?

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 03/07/2016 09:24

That does sound a lot of juice for that setup. If I were you I wouldn't reduce the nicotine yet, there's no rush and it won't hurt you. You could go back up to 18mg and see if you can drop the last few fags - that's the priority.

hollinhurst84 · 03/07/2016 09:34

954 NOT smoked Grin a month on and I am stinky free

FurryDogMother · 03/07/2016 15:31

That's brilliant hollin - I've lost track of how many days I'm back vaping now - probably 4 or 5? It's the first few that are the hardest, anyway, although I do face a 2 week challenge from Tuesday, when I'm back in Ireland with my husband, who is still on the rollies. I will stay strong though, and think of the money! My Kanger SubVod arrived today, and is charging, though I'm not planning on using it until I have some 80/20 VG/PG juice (on order, then has to steep) - but it's ever so cute - I got the purple version, even the little charging lead is purple :) Something to look forward to when I get back here in 2 weeks' time.
