Hi all. I've had a bugger of a time getting onto mn - kept getting that Bad Gateway message. Seems to be ok at the moment so hopefully tech have fixed it now.

FlossyMoo · 06/08/2014 21:12

Good evening do-gooders how are we all?

I've had a lovely day in you, part work & part beers by the riverside. Grin

Mind you I did get an hour of peace and relaxation watching GBBO, so not all bad.

FlossyMoo · 06/08/2014 22:51

I have it waiting for me on sky record. Once DH has gone to bed buggered the heel off I will be getting comfy an watching it Grin

Oh heck emo sounds a but dramasatic in your neck of the woods Shock

Perp leave DH & DC in the same room and let them me grumpy and awake together Grin

emotionsecho · 06/08/2014 23:39

GBBO is good, but I though it seemed to be whipping on at a faster pace than when it was on BBC2, or maybe there are more contestants I can't remember how many started on each of the previous series. EnjoySmile.

Yeah it's a bit dramatic, would love a rant and moan but afraid the detail would out me. Should be used to it by now, probably feeling a bit more stressed than I normally am, usually I can just switch it off and leave them to it.Grin

Thumbwitch · 07/08/2014 00:40

Are they up to Jezza Kyle standards, Emotions?

Perp - no need to be Envy, it was a loooong time ago! Grin

We get GBBO over here sometimes, but about 3 seasons behind the UK - it is good though, I like it.

Ah ok, lots of wilful misunderstandings and taking offence where none should have been taken, and the sort of thing that, in soaps, has me screaming at the tv "OH FFS, just TELL him!" instead of all the stupid interruptions and skirting round the issues that the scriptwriters use to prolong the agony storyline?

Oh no, that's fine. At least you're not blood related to any of them, eh? Grin

emotionsecho · 07/08/2014 01:34

That's a good way of looking at it Grin.

Thanks Perp, it's been a rough few weeks truth be told!

Just about to check with the Vet about emoticat (love that descriptionSmile).

As Thumbwitch said, it is the taking umbrage and offence which inevitably leads to drama, I find it odd the way they carry on. Lots of overheated arguments, misunderstandings and stubbornness sums it up perfectly.

Thanks Thumb for the opportunity last night to let some of it out, I have woken up today with the attitude of, that's what they're like, let them get on with itGrin.

Thumbwitch · 07/08/2014 15:36

No worries :)
Hope emoticat is ok.

Perp - ok, I'll admit that people used to get like this Shock when they found out how old I was, but since having DS2, I'm definitely disintegrating rapidly! He's very wearing Plus age seems to have finally destroyed my innate ability to mainline chocolate without it affecting my waistline too much - that's all gone to shit now too and I Really Should be low-carbing again but just need to kick the chocolate into touch...

NickiFury · 07/08/2014 15:54

Just checking in on the "do gooding", Wink. I am feeling very proud today as ds got his first judo medal and is moving up a belt. He has ASD, dyspraxia and hypermobility so it's quite an achievement for him Smile

Thumbwitch · 07/08/2014 16:05

That's fantastic Nicki! Well done FuryJunior!

NickiFury · 07/08/2014 16:08

Oh I love "FuryJunior", I'm going to call him that on here from now on Smile

emotionsecho · 07/08/2014 22:35

emoticat is still in the Vets, hopefully home tomorrow afternoon.

ClashCityRocker · 08/08/2014 19:22

Oh, I hope he is home soon. It's miserable when they're at the vets.

It's the weekend, sheesh it's been a long week. I stupidly drunkenly agreed to help out with the food for my friends daughters christening on Sunday....got slightly carried away and now I need to make a Brussels pate, mushroom pate and various quiches....and I think I've got an infected bite on my wrist, it's gone all swollen and funky.

Hope everyone's had a good day.

emotionsecho · 08/08/2014 22:19

emoticat is homeGrin. Drunk loads of water and gone somewhere peaceful to sleep.

Clash sounds like you have got a lot of work to do! Hope the funky wrist is ok and doesn't hinder your cooking.Smile

Fairenuff · 08/08/2014 22:23

Ooo Clash can't you go and buy most of it, sound like a lot of work otherwise. I wouldn't know where to start making pate Confused
