You have touched a nerve with me, in fact. Because my brother committed suicide and his wife (who had left him and fucked off with her boss) told us that if we'd been paying closer attention we would have realised something was wrong.

I have no issue with telling you that you touched a nerve with that one.

During your darkest hours I'll bet you didn't appreciate accusations. Shame you can't treat posters here, who have done nothing wrong to you or anyone, with the same respect.

Now, I'm not telling you this for sympathy or to shut you up. Just explaining that if you expect us to think of every possible background of every possible poster then you sure as shit need to do the same!

Tbh Why we had moved on from Tapper you were the one who continued to discuss even when we said this thread was not about her.
Last reference to Tapper was around 21:19 last night. Then nearly 3 hours later after zero talk of Tapper she comes on and calls us twats.

Yet for you we are still to blame. We have expressed a genuine welcome and not personally attacked anyone or name called yet we are still to blame. I actually don't think there is anything we can do because in your mind we are at fault regardless.

Also, if posters have a problem with what they perceive to be attacks or insults, would you mind actually addressing your comments to the poster in particular.

I am coming under fire for a lot of 'general' supposed nastiness and yet I think I've been perfectly reasonable, polite and measured to everyone, despite being personally insulted myself.

Why (and anyone else who has a problem with my posts) could you please address me directly and tell me which posts and what I said. I don't think you can but am willing to be proved wrong.

If you don't have a problem with my posts, please stop lumping me in with your general grievances and address your posts directly to the posters you are complaining about.

Ok I will try. Maybe when you have defended somebody who then even though there has been hours of other discussion and silly hats;.' proceeds to call people twats with no obvious or immediate reason it kind blows the 'poor poster she is the innocent one' out of the water. You then have to defend your actions so the easiest way is to blame those who were on the receiving end of the verbal attack. It is deflection in it's crudest form.

Apologise for the Costa chat

More than happy to stop discussing other posters. As you can see we have tried to say many times that we do not wish to discuss anyone in particular on this thread however some posters continue to force the issue. Maybe you could ask them personally as I believe some people will continue in the same vain so that you do delete this thread. Which I am sure you can see is unfair and not cricket.

As the thread is mostly about hats it would be a bit unfair if a couple of posters trying to get the thread shut down were able to do so by continuously referring to a thread that others are not. Wouldn't it?

The best porridge is in New York (I am fully aware how show offy that is but it's true!)

They serve it in massive bowls with raisins, maple syrup, brown sugar, fresh berries etc all on the side and you just chuck in what you want. It's a real THING. I love porridge.
