Anyone else watching today on day one?

I enjoyed the opening ceremony last night.

The wheelchair rugby this morning between GB and Aus was really exiting. If anyone wants to watch some highlights from today I can highly recommend it.

I watched the swimming this morning. Amazing.

I felt so sorry for Kadeena Cox, crashing out like that - she has had a really difficult build up to the Games, too.

It was a tough interview with her afterwards. She is clearly in a flare now and it's rotten luck in it's timing. She was pretty down about it. 🙁

It's going very well for Team GB in the velodrome. That quick track is continuing to see records tumble. Team GB looking good for some golds there. They seem to be showing up the Olympics cycling team really. Is it a bit mean of me to say that? Anyway I'm loving all the coverage today. Wheelchair rugby had another close match with GB v Denmark too.

@Sulusu The GB Paralympics team is SO strong and in so many different disciplines. I personally can't wait for the road cycling, to cheer on the utterly magnificent Dame Sarah Storey.

Im in Paris for the Paralympics, volunteering. I went to rugby yesterday (Denmark v France) and it was absolutely fantastic. Athletics this evening on a freebie ticket for volunteers.

I have been watching some of the swimming and cycling. A great day for team GB

We went to the 2012 games for a few days, fantastic experience.

I remember the watching the Pistorius incident with him complaining about the blade unfairness on the screens in the underground

Whoever decided to make Ronald Mackintosh an athletics commentator, is a genius. He has been branching out from boxing for a while but his enthusiasm in the athletics is amazing 😍

Disappointment for David Weir and Sophie Hahn,
although David Weir has come back after 12 years of not racing
sophie hahn won gold in both 2016 and 2021 so it was a fairly big ask

The wait for the Taekwando decision seemed to take forever but gold it is.

I'm absolutely loving it and having it on each evening followed by the last leg!

Amazing day in the pool for team GB (and blimey, how talented are the Clegg family!). A shame for Sophie Hahn and David Weir; I was in the stadium when Weir won one of his golds in 2012 and he was incredible. They have both achieved so much and should be so proud of themselves.

Good start to the day in rowing with two golds for Team GB. And guess what... the triathlon is delayed because of water quality!

Watching swimming and really impressed by Ellie Simmonds as a commentator. She is so knowledgeable and passionate about her sport.

Just watched the 200m freestyle with Brock Whiston winning gold and Alice Thai bronze, very close finish.

Now switched to blind football on YouTube, we watched that live in 2012
