The Welsh cyclist who I saw win a medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and the raising of the Welsh flag will be there- Emma Finucaine, one of the fastest women in the world on a cycle.

Oh the French judo guy was amazing. DH used to do judo years ago and considers himself an expert (!) and was giving me a running commentary.

@Sulusu hard to believe she was last a competitor nearly a quarter of a century ago!! I do love Jess Ennis’ hair! She just so naturally beautiful isn’t she. I also love the way Gabby wears her hair, those curls really suit her! Again, she put a post up, almost been married to Kenny for a quarter of a century.

@BestIsWest i found the commentary of the men’s final with Teddy hard to follow (wow that guy it built like a brick sh1thouse!!) it was mostly in a language I couldn’t follow, which to the amateur viewer makes it really hard to follow! I watch judo every four years and I hadn’t a clue! I followed it on the radio instead and it was better and more laid back with Chappers and co!

Marchand has totally lived up to the hype. It must be difficult being the face of the games, i felt the same for Jess Ennis, but he's really run with it.

I am convinced Marchand is part dolphin.

Ben Proud looked so gutted not to get the gold; took him a good few moments to be happy with silver (he beat McEvoy in the semis). He did so well, though - ditto Duncan Scott.

Bethany Shriever has also comfortably qualified for the women's BMX race final - hope she can defend her title! But it's very concerning to hear Kye Whyte (silver medallist in the men's BMX race in Tokyo) has been carried off on a stretcher after crashing in the semis - he was struggling with a back injury already, so I hope he is ok.

I hope this will be on mainstream BBC as I was struggling to find the semis on iplayer. Loved the first round yesterday, she was immense. How did Kye White do? I know he had a bad back.

Well done to Phoebe Gill as well. She is from nearby me and runs for a local running club.
