The Welsh cyclist who I saw win a medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and the raising of the Welsh flag will be there- Emma Finucaine, one of the fastest women in the world on a cycle.

Clash with Franklin and the gymnastics both at half four.

They’re all over the place with what’s on - Hazel Irvine's just said the men's gymnastics will start on iplayer. Iplayer has the caption but it’s the women’s canoeing (and said 'boxing' for a minute). Turned on the TV and lo and behold, the gymnastics is on the red button.

Edit: I think they might have finally sorted it out but really, it’s such a confused mess.

I enjoyed the Women’s trap shooting this afternoon. The Guatemalan who won was phenomenal.

Missed the last hour of coverage, as I had to go and collect my car from its MOT! That’s why Mallory didn’t medal.

Leon Marchand - bloody hell! To win both the 200m butterfly and 200m breaststroke is exceptional enough, but to do it on the same night? There is a reason the received wisdom is that it can't be done. Staggering achievement (and his third individual gold of the games so far).

@burblish likelihood is he will win the 200m individual medley too! This man is better than his coaches predecessor (IWSWIM)

Anticlimax tonight after all that medal glory today. Off to check what the plan is for tomorrow. I’m not around much tomorrow as I’ve made plans with the family, but hopefully all the medals will come in the evening.

Thanks @Supergirl1958 ! I wouldn't have been able to cope with an evening like this morning - i was far too stressed, emotional & felt ill! Took me a while to calm down, it was amazing!
