Starting a thread as it is only weeks away.

The Welsh cyclist who I saw win a medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and the raising of the Welsh flag will be there- Emma Finucaine, one of the fastest women in the world on a cycle.

OMG, how did Alex Yee do that?! It is crazy that a race comprising a 1500m open water swim, 40km bike ride and 10k run can come down to the wire like that! I was praying for him to be able to hold on to silver and then - WOW! Well done to Beth Potter, too, and Andrea Spendolini-Siriex and Lois Toulson. But that finish by Yee was just something else!

I was switching between the triathlon and the rowing as I thought Alex had settled for silver, that was a nice surprise! Well done Alex Yee!

It was when he started talking about the empty audience stands for the opening ceremony. 😂

How did that even happen! I’m doing jobs around the house and listening to 5live! They said Yee was spent! Just wow! 🤩 🥇🥇🥇🥇

With both those golds it's about staying in second until the last possible moment then having something in the tank to over take and win. Exciting but nail biting

Not sure watching the Olympics is good for our stress levels. First the divers were a ‘will they/won’t they’, then Yee crept up and took the gold, and now this rowing . I think I need a lie down. It’s all too exhausting!

What an incredible race! 🇬🇧 won it literally on the final stroke. Incredible effort by the women’s team.

I can’t get anything done! 4 medals and it’s not midday yet! Two golds! I LOVE the Olympics! So easy to follow these days in comparison to 2012. I remember desperately trying to follow super Saturday on my train back to London as a games maker from the Northwest in 2012 and having to look over the shoulder of a gentleman following it, and apologising for doing so. These days, I’m watching, listening with wireless earphones and doing my washing and cleaning (and stopping!)

I have a dilemma. I'm a big Nadal fan and just loving his teamup with Alcaraz, but I also want Andy Murray to end his career on a high. If Nadal/Alcaraz play Murray/Evans who do I support! 😱
