Re injuries have watched the Arsenal.com documentary about Beth and Viv’s ACL recovery. They keep saying they want more research on why- wonder if the fifapro report is the outcome of that. The chief physio said he was getting in some experts to do analysis.

Was coming on to recommend the documentary-was so interesting and loved Beth and Viv behind the scenes-fascinating.

Also been hearing a lot about the shocking numbers of ACL in women's players-most of the boots/pitch/ball technology etc has been developed for men and their bodies and needs.
Lots of interesting theories regarding women and injuries-including pelvis shape and the physio mentioned menstrual cycles being looked at because of the hormonal and physical changes.
I am very interested in the way the game needs to evolve to support women's health.
And go Arsenal!!

Very sad about Jill Roord. (I posted something yesterday but it appears to have been spirited off into the ether!)

I liked Doucet's Glastonbury comparison, actually. To me it means an England-at-Wembley party vibe, which seems quite apt. Enjoying the experience, singing your lungs out, jumping up and down and getting carried away while you're there but not smashing shop windows afterwards if you lose. But with better toilet arrangements than Glastonbury, obviously!

I hadn't thought about it that way, makes a lot of sense. Thanks

and yes to better toilet arrangements Smile

Oh dear.

I was hoping you would do us a favour.

We should have had a penalty against WH today as well.

At least the men won.

BellaAmorosa · 05/02/2024 13:05

Doom. Gloom. That is all.

Please stop, MustTryHarderAndHarder. I am already narked. 😡 🤬 😭

Katherine Kuhl was brilliant for us yesterday, 2 assists and lovely chip over the keeper for her goal.

We could have used her yesterday!

Hopefully we will come out of this slump soon.

Our games aren't getting any easier, with Man U, Spurs and Chelsea next in the WSL.

I saw! There's a clip on arsenal.com. Told you, didn't I? I hope she continues to do well for you. A bit inconsistent, decision-making can be suspect but that is down to her age and lack of minutes. The talent, the work ethic are both there. And she's very resilient - very brave and never stops trying to make things happen. Brian Sorensen having faith in her is a big help, I'm sure. She's touted as a generational talent.
Great win, by the way. 7-1 💥

BellaAmorosa · 12/02/2024 12:47

I will be pretending I haven't seen Arsenal results for the foreseeable future...

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 14/02/2024 20:26

That's really annoying that the FA player is down. At least we are winning.

MrsMitford3 · 14/02/2024 20:34

@BellaAmorosa you can look now...👏

You were able to see the whole match on FA player???

BellaAmorosa · 14/02/2024 21:01

Yes, still watching now! They're doing the match highlights bit. I know loads of people had problems, though.
We were much better tonight. Such a relief.
